One of the most important things Ikki says is that she likes when Aunt Kya always asks how she's doing. As the middle child, I'm sure she often feels left out of things and ignored.
I like how we got 3 seasons of Aang being an absolute pacifist to the point that he refused to use lethal force against Fire Hitler, meanwhile Korra immediately resorts to sticking a judge into the open maw of her gargantuan polar bear dog and threatening to let her bite down.
Yeah, it's actually sorta sad how they both lived in the wrong times. Aang would have loved living in Korra's time where peace was mostly achieved, and spiritual communication and understanding was needed over flat our violence. While Korra would have appreciated the clear and uncomplicated goal of "here's the bad guy, go kick his ass."
@@VeeAllar738 At the same time though, Korra definitely would've killed the Fire Lord. Which could've led to who knows what as the cycle of violence continued. We may not even have a republic city in the future, as that was created from Fire Nation colonies that were willingly given at the end of the war.
@@VeeAllar738 i remember some theory crafter came up with something of this being an unconscious function of the reincarnation cycle Basically it was that each Avatar has traits that previous one needed SO MUCH in their own life that it resolves as the main personality trait of the subsequent Avatar. -the GoWithTheFlow Avatar Koruk; Lost his wife to complacency and was followed by a much more disciplined Kyoshi -Kyoshi was a wartime avatar and wished she was wiser to better keep peace leading to Roku -Roku wished he could have been better able to understand Sozin and led to Aang's emotionally intelligence And Aang had gone through so much stress in having to learn the elements early on that it led to Korra being so instantly excellent at Bending; and her lacking in the Spiritual side of being an Avatar to be Korra's character flaw
I think they had the lemur training in the episode because Tenzin is spending more time with his kids. They just had the episodes where they were talking about how Aang wasn’t really a good father to all of his kids. So it’s showing Tenzin trying to do better.
A major difference between Aang and Korra is how they react to being put into a corner. Aang's first instinct is evasion. For physical attacks, he will slip out of the way and dodge, and with a mental task, he is typically quick to find a middle ground to work from. Korra is very direct. She's more likely to fight than evade, especially in physical situations, and has trouble with spiritual and emotional obstacles. That's why their enemies seem so formidable. Aang was fighting people and armies, Korra is fighting ideologies.
Re: the Meelo Lemur Training, I don't think it's unrelated or only for comedic effect. Tenzin has to look at his own actions by seeing how his advice to Meelo plays out. Tenzin just wanted Meelo to learn how to tame a single lemur to be his pet. Instead, Meelo trains a whole army to follow his every command. This falls outside Tenzin's intention. Tenzin's interactions with his family have often related to his relationship with Korra to some extent. Fighting with his siblings is as emotionally charged and irrational as his arguments with Korra. In the previous episode, Ikki realizes that sometimes loved ones needs to be forgiven, just as Tenzin may have to forgive Korra. Meelo went in his own crazy direction with Tenzin's teachings, just as Korra does with airbending. Also, at the end, Meelo and the lemur aren't happy - sure, they are efficient and tactical, but they aren't happy.
If Korra remained 'neutral', she'd be letting a larger army from the North defeat the South. She'd be picking a side by remaining neutral. She does need to learn to not rush into things and try taking the diplomacy route. The issue with Raiko is that he's a massive hypocrite. He won't get involved until an issue is on his doorstep, but by then it's too late. Then he expects the avatar to work her magic and fix everything
What really STINGS (hehe) is that the whole premise of Mako telling on Korra to the President was on the basis of "you are a man of the law before all else", and then the next episode, he specifically goes outside the law to help Asami; conspiring with shitty shady people and even enlisting them to help. They are criminals, LMFAO. It just makes Mako look like a raging hypocrite and biased against Korra (to us).

Personally i like the first half of season two. I like the civil war plot. And i like Tenzin’s family drama. I like Korra threatening to murder a judge. Its a very Kyoshi moment. As the avatar do not accept Bribery or Corruption.
These episodes were so fun, I love the details and old school feel this season has had. Oak is right, Varrick's double cross feeling personal is exactly how it felt for me. I actually appreciated how they made him like that. How often do you get invested in a character that his betrayal hits you personally? I can't wait for next weeks reaction, its going to be a blast!
I don't understand where this whole concept of the Avatar having to be neutral in the face of war. No one told Aang that he had to remain neutral in the 100 Year War. He knew he had to defeat Fire Lord Sozin to stop the war. Unalaq became the Northern Water Tribe Chief after betraying the the next in-line and has now subdued the Southern Water Tribe for his own goals. He has already shown Korra that he is indeed a villain, so why must she remain neutral?
I mean, the main person here harpooning the "neutral Avatar" idea is Unaalaq, whom it benefits. Mako says it too a couple times, but that’s just his opinion, and he's just in the wrong there.
That’s kinda a big thing for korra is everybody telling her what she should or shouldn’t be doing. Despite some of korra’s mistakes this season I’m always happy when she takes matters into her own hands like with the judge; if she has behaved and followed everybody else’s wants then her family would be in jail and unalaq would’ve taken over
the avatar is meant to keep peace across the world a civil war is self contained and doesn't need the avatar saying that avatar kioshi intervened against that conqueror bloke when he threatened her hometown which is what korra is doing here, she just happens to be the child of a world leader
The neutrality thing is Unalaq's gaslighting, nothing more. He wanted to get into Korra's head to make her doubt herself, and manipulate her into inaction, so that he could forward his own goals.
Yeah, it’s more about Korra being young and inexperienced and trying to figure out what being the Avatar truly means. It’s difficult, especially because most of the time “keeping balance” had to do with different nations interacting, but this situation is all in the water tribe. Korra has to fight villains that are technically in the right quite often, though we know they are out of balance.
I know amnesia is a cliche at this point, but the way they utilize it makes for some of the best 2 episodes I've seen in this series. Looking forward to the next 2 episodes.
We love Varrick in this house. Even when he's being a dumbass and looks like a villain. He's one of the best things to come out of Korra. 😂 Someone theorized he's Sokka's kid. He's funny, ridiculous, and yet incredibly smart and ruthless. Just like Sokka ❤
Love that it is just accepted that women can be violent and destructive when you break up with them and it is just something to laugh about, no one should be allowed to be a psycho like that
Remember when Aang said he'd be in the avatar state if he could, when speaking to Katara about their relationship in the Ember Island Players episode? It's not just the women in avatar. However, I do agree that abuse from women against men is often played for laughs and that is wrong.
Am so glad that you guys are so genuinely loving this show and it gets even better from here. Can't wait for the next three reactions which are gonna be so amazing!
Ah season two… the season where Lin does not have a brain. Sorry i saw the thumb nail and it gave me flashbacks. Being vague but for those who have watched season three. I do like the fan theory that Lin is trying to exercise integrity and not being nice to Mako because they have a relationship (friendship) outside of work.) Edit: Also the residual trama of having her bending taken away. I really wish they explored that with Lin.
I yall are forgetting that Aang & Co created Republic City to be the center of peace and a blending of all the nations, as wellas a beacon. So it's the Presidents responsibility to not just care for the city but the world as well. People move there from all nations. To let one be wiped out because he sees no ill effects in his town is a failure on his part. Also Aang has a bad temper as well when it comes to those he loves. We've seen when Katara, Appa and Momo were in danger. Temper issues is an Avatar signature but Korra is the only one that gets condemned and called out for it. Shit folks love Kyoshi for her no nonsense approach.
I disagree with that. Yes, they created it to be the center of peace and a blending of all the nations and to be open to everyone, regardless of their origin. However, the four nations were left intact with their autonomy also intact. Republic City was meant to be an alternative to the strict 4 nation/bender tribe structure, a place of refuge for people who felt they couldn't belong or stay within their nations/tribes or even for people who were forced out of their respective nations/tribes. Aang & Zuko (Katara, Sokka & Toph probably as well) planned this city to be a good example for people from different backgrounds to live together in harmony, whether benders or non-benders. Establishing a sort of buffer to the more rigid 4 bending "nations". With season 1, we learned how such a place is put into danger through a civil war, one that was caused because the non-benders felt they were not seen as equal members, and sometimes or often even weren't treated as equal members (the council only consisting of bender nation representatives). A significant number of non-benders felt their voices were ignored or didn't count as much and that benders monopolized all or most of the power for themselves. Now we learned that they elected a president and cabinet of sorts, one that is meant to represent and govern the city as a whole, uniting it. Someone who got elected with the purpose of reconciling the city's various factions with each other, healing the wounds of their own civil war that just ended, and attempts to prevent new civil wars cannot just go and take "one side" (doesn't matter whether it's the right or wrong side) in someone else's war. Especially considering that the water tribes are a separate, autonomous "nation". Again, the fire nation, earth kingdom and water tribe(s) are autonomous nations. As is Republic City. And yes, they are meant to be a center and beacon of peace, but as the other nations are separate and autonomous, Republic City cannot/shouldn't interfere with their politics. Even if the world might be better off if every nation would be more like Republic City, they cannot go ahead and "force" that peace upon another, autonomous nation. If Republic City were to do that, it would be like the US (just the most prominent example, other nations do it as well) stating: well, we are the beacon of peace and democracy, therefore it's our responsibility to bring that to the rest of the world/enforce that throughout the world. We see how that usually ends up, don't we.
Loving this series' reactions! Didn't love Bolin kissing Ginger against her will though, hits way too close to a lot of the skeevy stuff that happens behind the scenes in real life movies.
@@vadalia3860I didn't say it was right or wrong, Bolin got caught up in the moment, and didn't follow script. Although it was without consent. What Ginger did basically the same thing in Episode 10 to Bolin. She got caught up in the moment. Just because she's a girl, doesn't give her special permissions.
Hey guys! How you ever considered watching some of Hayao Miyazaki's work? Spirited Away, Howls mowing castle and Princess Mononoke would be very cool to see what you guys think! :)
When i watched this with my housemate (her first time watching) she met Varrick and almost immediately went "oh no he's an Edison" and yes! He is! He also grows on you so fast 😂
What Varrick did isn’t surprising. He was very open about wanting to turn people against the Northern water tribe and fight against them. He’s just taking matters into his own hands. He took Asamis weapons to maybe to use against them and framed them with an explosion. While Mako is lawful good, Varrick is chaotic good. I think. 🤷♀️
I've never likes the avatar had to stay neutral shit they said in here. When has the avatar stayed neutral? The last 2 avatars fought against the fire nation. Roku threatened the fire lord before the great War broke out. Hell Avatar Kyoshi killed the king of the Earth nation when he tried to conquer her home. The show has literally never shown the avatar to be neutral in conflicts, especially when it centers around the avatar's home.
The word "neutral" is being used as a manipulation by Unalok and is an oversimplication of the idea that the Avatar is supposed to serve the world as a whole and maintain balance. It's up to the Avatar to decide when to readjust the scale, let people sort out their own problems or better yet mediate a compromise. She is right to get involved in this civil war since the North is steamrolling through and Korra has a personal connection, but she's going about it in the wrong ways because she's letting her emotions get the best of her. Chin, Sozin, and Ozai were about to do the same thing when they were threatened/killed/defeated by the Avatar. But for something like a civil dispute, like with the tribes in The Great Divide, it would be best to either let it work itself out or mediate.
Yeah, I side with Mako when it came to telling on Korra. He should've done everything he could to make sure she cooled down and not gone through with the plan to subvert Raiko before snitching but it was the right thing to do for everyone's sake. Korra is being insanely stubborn and hotheaded out of stress, which makes her get and fall for dumb ideas and manipulations. Requesting aid is fine but when that didn't work, she was about to drag all of Republic City into a war whether they wanted it or not. The President is not a good guy and is a hypocrite but not getting involved in the war is his decision to make.
For all the people who keep saying that Korra should remain neutral and that her picking a side will only increase conflict/lead to war, what do you think about all the other times the Avatar picks a side, or anyone picking any side? Do you think Aang should have remained neutral during the 100 year war? Do you think Korra was wrong to fight against Amon? The Avatar's job is to keep peace and balance, so is it really wrong of her to side with the people who are being invaded? Yes, she is biased in that her family is from the Southern Water Tribe, but that doesn't make her wrong. In this situation, the Southern Water Tribe is the one that's being invaded. Avatar Roku sided with the Earth Kingdom when Sozin decided to invade the Earth Kingdom. Do people think that he should have remained neutral? I don't think the Avatar's job is to simply be the person that hosts negotiations between two sides. When one side is out of line and refuses to step back, the Avatar needs to step up and stop them from seizing more power. Aang and Korra both tell Ozai and Unalaq respectively to stop what they're doing before fighting them. Sometimes not choosing a side is choosing the side of the more powerful group. That's why Unalaq keeps pushing Korra to remain neutral. The Northern Water Tribe can take control of the South if there is no outside interference.
First half of season 2 is in the books, now for the start of 2nd half. It's going to be a wild ride. I know some people don't like the 2nd half, but i loved it and it has importance behind it because of what this season does setting up season 3. Can't wait for your reaction to 7, 8 and 9.
Why should Korra be neutral? Unalaq has shown himself to be a villain plus the life of her parents, Katara and her people are on the line. I’d be as frustrated as she is if I was her.

I'm just thinking how weird it'll sound when the live action actor of Zuko will say that line. (No hate towards anything it'll just take time for me lol)

@@Bigsteelguy4 And when it's episode 10 I'll call that out but it's not episode 10, now is it?
Hey guys! How you ever considered watching some of Hayao Miyazaki's work? Spirited Away, Howls mowing castle and Princess Mononoke would be very cool to see what you guys think! :)
7:54 “As the avatar you can not threaten war.” Tell that to Yangchen 💀
General iroh is zukos grandson
When i watched this with my housemate (her first time watching) she met Varrick and almost immediately went "oh no he's an Edison" and yes! He is! He also grows on you so fast 😂
I always found him more of a Howard Hughes type (or Robert House if you play Fallout), right down to the style of facial hair.
Ooo I just realized the voice of the judge is Tom Kane. Sounded just like the narrator in Clone Wars
I think. 🤷♀️
Not just stealing Asami's weapons but simultaneously setting her company up for desperation...just in time for him to swoop in and "save the company."
Yes more Korra!
"Promise you won't do anything rash"- Sir have you MET your daughter?!?!
Awesome! Add another point to an already great sunday
Really the only channel and ppl I look forward to after a long and tiring day. Thank y’all and keep it up 💪🏽 the positive energy is amazing
I love Varrick. He's a very funny & brilliant guy. Just ignore the mustache.
Triple threats are all benders. That's why they are triple threats. Any one of the three forms of bending besides air.
Amnesia storylines can be a trope but at least this one leads to something unique.
LETS GOOO MORE KORRRAAAAAAA
Yay, Korra Sunday!
Headcanon. 2 toed ping is a relative of brothers doc and sho.
Thanks for the reaction
Not a big fan of S2, but these next 2 episodes are probably my favorite in the entire series
Oh man, excited to keep going!
Haha I really love Naga and Pabu acting 😂❤
hey fellas been a fan for a long time love yalls videos watch em every day im glad yall enjoyed animations like invincible and such but a show i recommend and its very trendy atm almost worldwide phenomenon is jujutsukaisen its arguably one of the best animes to come out to date i feel like you all would enjoy that show so much let alone the film "Zero" there is very little aspects that JJK does not touch on when it comes to making an engaging and entertaining show cannot recommend it enough if yall dont already have it on yalls queue its truly a diamond in a sea of coal.
Excelente sus trabajos
I still feel weird hearing Dante's voice coming from General Iroh's mouth. I feel weird Dante's voice coming from his own mouth. His voice is so different and stands out to me, my mind glitches if it comes from someone else's voice which is not Zuko. I'm just thinking how weird it'll sound when the live action actor of Zuko will say that line. (No hate towards anything it'll just take time for me lol)
Muy buena la presentación
Considering if you listen to the comantarys of the show they had a hole plane. And they didn't want to do it like other animes. Look in to it.
Fantástico, sigan así chicos
Varrick is a wild card the rest of the series
in december you guys should watch to Aftersun, not a christmas movie, but a incrdible and emotional one
Gran trabajo 👌
I guess the real moral of the story is to never trust a man with a mustache.
Did you guys not noticed the Sokka statue in epi 6??
Never trust a guy with a pencil mustache, that's for sure.
Good video
Expectacular
Veric is the best😊
Next episode is my favourite if I remember correctly
Petition for bad medicine to watch the Frozen Franchise too.
Would love to see you guys watch "Moving". Don't know if that's even on your list of things to watch.
Muy interesante
Waiting for you guys to start the Vinland Saga anime series. it has 2 seasons of vikings story.
Muy bueno
Will start commenting on all your videos till you react to the Vampire diaries
❤❤❤
🔥🔥🔥🔥
🔥🔥🔥
Genial 😁
Never trust an ultra rich person. There is no ethical way to become a billionaire, so if you are dealing with one, prepare for them to be treacherous.
♥️♥️♥️♥️
👌👌
Interesante
Very sad news out of Hollywood: yesterday evening, Matthew Perry, Chandler Bing from Friends, was found dead in his apartment hot tub.
He was 54.😞😭
Third comment :)
Are you still reacting to Fear the walking dead
Is it necessary to drag Aang through the mud every time you want to criticize Korra?
The two detectives Lu and Gang reminded me of the Andys from Hot Fuzz, if you’ve seen that film. If you haven’t seen it, make sure it’s the next film you see.
Did anyone else get 'Flash Gordon' vibes from Unaloq in the 'Movers' lol Ming the Merciless.
