Facts!
I don’t think you’re necessarily a new guy in town just new to the racing scene, you are a local chicken farmer and decide to take your grandmas car out to a derby. This game was my childhood so I sperg out whenever it’s covered lmao

Playing this on Xbox 360 still in 2024. Gameplay is still fun and holds up well.
Absolutely! It's a real shame this game isn't backwards compatible on the One or the Series tho.
That's the only downfall of playing Sony. I got a PS3 and a PS4 but I can't play a PS2 game on PS3. Other than that the controllers for Xbox are annoying to handle and I'm not going out of my way to play games on Xbox.
I still have this game on ps2. It was one of my favorite games. Me and my dad used to race each other all the time. Also, the soundtrack for the game was absolutely amazing

I was in my 20's when this came out and we played it on PS2. Myself and my friends would get together and get drunk as hell and play 4-player split screen for hours. We always ended every game with "The Gauntlet". To this day, I will play career once a year. I have a copy for Xbox and play it on my old Xbox 360. In fact, I literally just finished a career a month ago. I was hoping I could play it on my X box X because other games like Knights of the Old Republic play on it and they kinda tune up the graphics a little. Doesn't work. "Wreckfest" is the closest game I can compare to Test Drive. A remaster would be great but I'm sure that won't happen. Me and a few buddies will still play that game a few times a year and we still love it.
This game and its mechanics are CRIMINALLY under-rated
the car roster is actually fitting for the theme the bus the amc gremlin and the motne carlo and the Plymouth cude
I really loved this game when I was a kid, but to be honest I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed that in the previous version (of this game) the pilots had a different suit, like this: Jeans, white shirt and black and red helmet. Personally, I liked this more than the final version. They could very well be kept, I think.

Got nearly 20 Playthrous in Story Mode since im 11. I'm 28 now and didn't touch it since around 2016, but it's still burned in Memory since 🥰

A remaster would be cool, but I think if they just made test drive eve of destruction two with more modern cars that would be even better, a lot of the cars you’d see in this game are pretty much extinct now (in the derby world)
I'm hoping we get a wreckfest 2 soon, or another company jumps in and makes a demo derby type game that's worth a damn.
@@NoMooreMercyTV yea exactly, I like wreckfest but we definitely need something a little more realistic, the career mode in test drive eve of destruction was really good especially for the times. If they tried to make something like that today it could be a lot more realistic than it was before

Oval racing is the main feature? Not much oval tracks in this game. I guess the ones that are involve the opposite, shortcut races, or you are trying to demolish a hearse or pull a trailer. Not really examples of ‘oval racing.’
