Burnout Revenge X360 version is a downdgrade to Xbox version. As someone who owned both all that time ago, its night and day. Revenge is still an amazing game, I still consider Takedown the best of the series.

To be fair, NFSMW 2012 could also be considered a Burnout game..

Great vid! I grew up on burnout 3 so that was my jam for a long time. I think i had multiple save files with 500+ hours lol. If i had to list top 3 id say 3, paradise, revenge. 3 for blowing my 6 year old mind and being the first game i 100% (best soundtrack), paradise for loving the open world, and just played revenge this year for the first time and it was so nice to be transported back to my childhood. And traffic check was such a nice change!

Ah yes, missing the great Burnout Java version, both 2D and 3D. To me, I played almost Burnout series, bar Burnout 1 and Crash. 1. Burnout 2 Point of Impact is good, especially the face off and chase variant (the crash stats during race is also shown surprisingly). 2. Burnout 3 Takedown is good, the elimination event is kinda subject to each own (I like lap based elimination but yeah, it is long as fuck), the time for Burning Lap is kinda harsh though. AI crash often a lot which causing some annoyance. The soundtracks isn't my forte much though. I like the signature takedown and crash headlines. 3. Burnout Revenge is awesome, remember agression means progression like the game states. AI is good actually (The twist to me: AI catchup in 3 is better). The only thing I don't like is PS2 didn't have replay mode (Xbox has, which sadly is not the version I played). The music is awesome. The signature takedown is a bit letdown (the trophies is good acthally), no crash headlines kek...sadge. The ambient in Revenge is the best actually (have one night race in Eastern Bay). 4. Burnout Dominator is basically Burnout 2 meets Burnout 3 (with some Revenge blended into) which I kinda likes, needs skill but more satisfying when you hit Burnout x30 without crashes in Total Maniac event. The music is decent actually. The signature shortcut is a bit annoying and the events is okay (no crash junction probably due to time constraint or different developer), car variety is better (B3 is better though, followed by this (close), and Revenge). 5. Burnout Legends is basically Burnout 3 Takedown lite (has Burnout 1 OG tracks though), has the most of car variants (bar Paradise) 6. Burnout Paradise...okay game but opponent can be a bit repetitive once you hit the maximum license, did not get the Big Surf DLC and the multiplayer so yeah. The agression is decent to me. (Also me who do a burnout x40 challenge in a road rage using Kitano Hydros Techno aka Custom Coupe Ultimate). Now the stunt is okay but a bit annoying, the showdown is a bit fun. Basically you are the crash junction. 7. Burnout Java: Ya guys miss this. 3 car, 3 tracks, a variety of events but the most aggressive AI. My verdict: Dominator = Revenge, Point of Impact, Legends, Burnout mobile Java, Takedown, Paradise. Yeah I give Takedown rating a bit low because the AI prefers to do catch up BS and easy to crash tendency.

Pls remaster or make a sequel for the warriors, pls🫡👑

it's hard to judge games when you haven't played them, because they were on ps2 and all you had is a cutting edge pc that could run crysis at 19 fps

Burnout revenge was my childhood, probably the game I've 100%'d the most amount of times of any game that I'm still able to come back to. Paradise I didn't play until years later when it got the PS4 remaster but even on the remaster I kept running into issues with the game crashing while doing some showtimes

I have to give 3 the edge over Revenge simply because it was my first. I think also that at the time I played Revenge (around release), I expected a bit more advancement for the next gen console. That being said though, it is technically superior to 3, and maybe one more reason to think about getting an Xbox. I really loved Paradise because of the organic exploration, the rewarding sense of learning the roads and also finding hidden stuff, and I really did like the online challenges. Sure, it was annoying when people kept dropping out or wouldn’t cooperate, but it was rewarding completing a lot of those challenges. The game was also quite pretty. I would really love to see another burnout game.. Classical or open world.

I only played burnout revenge and that was the best racing game. Unfortunately only playing the game for a week someone stole the ps2 and all the games. We found the culprit but he sold it for alcohol money.

too bad they didn't make a sequel, god of war got in the way I guess

There are rumors that Criterion (the developers of the Burnout franchises) are making a new Burnout game. Hopefully it follows the footsteps of the greats if it’s not open world. If it is, I hope it improves upon Paradise’s formula. I adore Paradise, but I know there is potential for it to be greater.

The challenge to unlock the F1 car in Burnout 3 was so freaking hard.

Burnout Reveng will be forever the best Game I played Burnout 3, LOVED REVENGE, missed Dominator never got to play it very long and Paradise I never really liked the open world or the driving buttons

I know burnout from i think it was a demo in underground 2 extras or something.. I played that demo more than the main game

Not gonna lie i was never really a fan of burnout paradise. I guess im more accustomed to it being levels and have the world kinda play around the tracks. Thats what made burnout 3 so good in my eyes, the different routes/races in the same location made some distinctive worldbuilding. They did similar with need for speed hot pursuit 2, really that style of making levels is absent in modern gaming. Oh and that last dominator car stage for burnout dominator is so freaking hard. I gotta play that stage again but from what i recall you gotta essentially boost chain for 2 laps if you want to get gold, you have to get a million maniac points for gold. Im so very close i think i was 800k maniac points

I'm debating buying an old Xbox just to buy and play this game again. I spent way too many hours playing this game growing up. Awesome review of an awesome game!

I pretty much agree with generally everything minus Dominator being "good", I found the game mind numbingly boring, it's basically Burnout 3 but not as good, everything about that game made me go like, "I wish I was playing Burnout 3 instead". However I do agree with Takedown and Revenge, both games are quite good, especially the latter but I got to admit, I feel a "burnout" after playing them for multiple hours, they are really fun when I pick up and play them for the first time but it starts to become diminishing returns after a point, I really do wish these games had a stuctured story mode of some kind, because I start to get bored after a couple of hours. They are really good, but these games take my, "I don't mind the lack of story as long as the gameplay is good" to it's limit another example being Classic Tomb Raider. I never played the first 2 Burnouts and I'm not really familar with the games' OSTs tbh, I just muted the audio and played eurobeat over them. It seems like I missed out but I tend to love the eurobeat that featured in anime like Initial D and they fit racing of any kind so well. Overall, good vid.

Burnout 2 was my first console driving game, love it to this day and especially the refill boost mechanic, chaining boost for a full race felt nuts. Burnout 3 was probably my favourite, loved the music, the mechanics, the tracks and the style. Burnout revenge was really good and it was better looking than 3 but i felt the traffic checking was a bit dumb and overall it took away from the precision skill elements of 3 but I did really enjoy the shortcuts they were a good addition. I never played paradise but it kind of looks like forza horizon/NFS hot pursuit. If i can get it on my ps5 or xbox i might try it out some day

The only one i played was dominator but i was like 10 but it was great

I bought Paradise on release and more or less played through it in one go. When I unlocked the police F1 car, I went to multiplayer and literally wiped the floor with any competition, as no one really got that car that fast. Good times :D

After I got a jb psvita and loaded it with 256gbs of games, I couldn't stop playing burnout legends for months. Desire to play other titles burnt out :p Whenever I switch on my psvita, I have to play one sesh of road rage! I love how one can quickly jump into gameplay. Great soundtrack! Thanks for the video. I'm excited to try Burnout Revenge on my jtag 360 which I didn't know existed. Didn't like playing Paradise on the 360 so def gonna try Revenge now. Many thanks!!!

Great video. I picked up the series with 3, and share a lot of your opinions! One thing I do feel differentiated 3 and Revenge was the difficulty level - I felt that traffic check made the game a lot easier, and very much changed that knife-edge feel of dodging traffic that 3 had. I also sort of slept on Paradise for a while when it came out, but at some point it clicked and may be my favorite in the series now , especially with the remasters. The handling is so good, all the cars feel unique. The sense of speed and danger is crazy, and the crashes have so much momentum and look incredible . And I had a great time exploring the map for the collectibles. The parking garage mini-platforming puzzles were a ton of fun. The map is really well thought out in general. And learning the city and the best routes really rewarded you the more you played. The more time I spent with paradise, the more I loved it. I still play it every couple months.

Paradise City is the best one imo. It's not just the graphics, but the mechanics were really improved. Not to mention the huge amount of content and stuff you can do. If you wanted to platinum the game on PS3 you had to clear each street's time trial and crash score! Also, the opening song is by Guns N' Roses!
