Revisiting this song after 17 or so years and it's awesome to see it affected others like it did to me. Brings back memories of listening to it over and over in my younger days. It's almost so good it doesn't need lyrics..and anyone can create their own story to this song in their mind.
I'm pretty smart... very verbally gifted. For 15 years I've tried to write lyrics to this song. Nothing fits... no one situation, no one incident, no one mood. It seems like it defies classification and is simultaneously everything and nothing. It's whatever you want it to be... and that's why it's one of my favorite pieces of music ever.
I can see this played at a funeral or a wedding. As party background music or as a soundtrack to a love affair. To highlight something profound or to show how none of this really means anything and none of us are truly free. It's fucking amazing.
It's incredible the amount of emotion conveyed without any lyrics at all. So good.
The piano piece at the end is unbelievably beautiful, I could listen to that part forever.

Really old comment, but this was written after blue. I am assuming still with cadogan, and for some reason this EP (symphony of decay) was never actually released. Kept getting pushed and delayed. Was supposed to be where they'd release slow motion with lyrics because the studio hated the song. Anyways most of the songs off the EP have been released or you can find on youtube now.
@@SDCDIABLOno this was written by Tony, Arion, Brad, and SJ. SJ could never finish the lyrics apparently so just put the teaser out on Ursa Major with the full version supposedly to come on Ursa Minor but obviously that never came and Tony was canned. Another masterpiece shelved by SJ unfortunately

This song is SO good, but I hate that this is the only full version. The snippet on Ursa Major is the same song, but has such better recording quality and mastering. I want SO BAD to hear the full version of the Ursa Major mastering. It cuts off right at the good part and it kills me every time.

@hallwealth I posted this back in '09 and I got it from the underground website. The reason why they couldn't post this or release Ursa Minor is because SJ fired Tony and Arion Salazar; they are the ones who played this song. He, SJ, cannot legally release it.

i loved 3eb when they started and have followed them through the years. Our Lady Peace is my favorite band with 3eb as a close second but OLP has had some major missteps, but as I hear this tonight, does sound in general get better than this? I am really drunk but this is the best song I have heard besides early 3eb like god of wine, motorcycle drive by, and newer shit like bonfire and sharp knife. I love all their albums, most songs but this, this is the most polarizing. It is like 3eb told Nine inch nails and Radio Head to go fuck themselves. It is great, can't stop listening to it.
