@@cbright28 people only know them for like 3 songs though. you’d struggle to find anyone who knows bsides off of even the first album and definitely newer stuff. greatest band of all time tho
@@norrismantooth3 Eh…it’s still mistakably raw. 90% all raw at least, to my ears, especially the vocals. Obviously the studio drums were nixed from this cut.
I cant believe this album didn't do better sales. The song writing was so sincere, some of their best imo. Someone in charge of promotion must have dropped the ball on this one. Or it could be that 90% of people prefer songs that sound like everything else on the radio.
there are certain things about his recording process that sets unreasonable vocal expectations that he literally can't do live. but other than that his voice is great.
That's Arion Salazar, the bass player and Tony Fredianelli on lead guitar (taking turns backup singing different parts). The band was so good when they were all together but now Arion and Tony are both gone. Just doesn't have the same soul anymore. They were absolute gold as a group.
Captures Charlize and everything she is...and I want to stay right here and go down or you for an hour. Or stay, and let the day just fade away in wild dedication, take the moment of hope and let it run...what a girl to inspire such lyrics.
In my opinion this song is the greatest song ever written. Ever! It is an incredible song with deep and personal lyrics, It's a tragically sad song but it's beauty is undeniable, i love this band and especially this song
The last of the good times of music kinda. Shit just hit different then……. Such good times. I hope they’re all well these days . 3eb got me thru hella crusty times of late teendom and early adulthood…… love them
I've always thought that his talking voice was very similar to his singing voice (sounds dumb, I know, but it's not incredibly common) and it works out perfect for him and the entire sound of the band
I think there's actually a substantial difference in their sound from each album. Maybe it's because I've listened to all of their albums all the way through at least 6 times each, but I think they're all very different. All amazing, but Ursa Major is way different than their self titled.
Arion Salazar and Tony Fredianelli singing backup helped save Stephen Jenkins this song. Brad Hargreaves solid as usual, ended up sounding pretty good for 3EB live.
2024 and this rocks me on! getting married soon and this will be my wedding dance! LETSGO!
Everything about this song is damn near perfect
Sometimes I forget about 3eb then I hear them somewhere randomly andafter that can't stop for like three weeks.
just looked up the lyrics...damn there's some good lyrics here...the kind of stuff I would be proud to write. underrated band. Great pop music
With respect, they’re not really underrated. They’re one of the most popular rock and roll bands of the 90’s and have multiple Grammy awards? LOL
Yes, this album is stuffed full of fantastic lyrics of breakdown of relationships and that yearning to get back.
@@cbright28 people only know them for like 3 songs though. you’d struggle to find anyone who knows bsides off of even the first album and definitely newer stuff. greatest band of all time tho
@@captain_efurd4502 no, I’m with you I agree. I just think categorizing them as underrated is not accurate. They’re very rated lol.
Damn. I mean geez how do you get a better version of a live song than this right here? Completely stunned right now. Straight perfection.
It's been studio-mixed, and they played with the album track.

Why does everyone always say that he can't sing live? I've seen him several times and never felt that way. He's been on point at every show.
+Mark S Seconded, he sounds great live
Mark S high notes he can't hit....low register he does fine...his voice is unique; which sets him apart

He's spotty. Great vocalist and lyricist but he's not super consistent if we're being honest.
their songs are like home to me
3eb's songs makes me feel younger.
Wow. That’s the best I’ve ever seen them do live.
"never look back to all the damage we have done now,
to each other"
btw, underrated as hell. im glad i found this version of the song!
Jediya Adar it doesn’t get any better than this version! Incredible love 3 eb forever 👍👍👍
Just realized as I was watching this it was exactly 16 Years ago today !!! Crazy how fast time goes by wtf ! 3eb is the best ever ! Rock on 3eb
Saw them in concert last night. Stephen's voice was PHENOMENAL. It was the last night on their tour.
Brilliant performance
The backup vocals guy is incredible!

Great version!

It’s not the band, the visual quality or even the fashion that dates this video
It’s the fact it’s sponsored by AOL…

Only band/artist that fans would prefer to hear live.
There’s nothing left to do! Still I see you!
Tony was great, but I miss Kevin (the original lead guitarist).
Tempo, tuning, progressions - love Tony but this is VERY Cadogan........
God what a fuckin masterpiece

@rehoboth21 Was it in Charlotte?! I totally saw em last week on the 10th
The tuning is FACFAE.
Sounds weird, but Tony said so himself. It's really easy to play.
This song a should of had a music video
3eb songs =childhood days
exactly, listen closely to it in hip hop then compare it to this... very different.
