I dont have problem with soft bass if the highs are very good. So what do u think?? Im using other to chat with my friend so dont worry, good video men, keep it up!!
thank you for the kind words! the DT770 is going to have a lot more bass and a lot more treble if the HD280Pro is neutral (I haven't tried it). The 770 has a good stage for closed back and has fantastic imaging. going from a neutral headphone to more of a v-shaped sound signature is usually pretty jarring at first. if you do make the switch, make sure to give yourself a couple days to adjust before judgement.
Would you say this 770 bass wise is comparable to the MMX300? Because I wouldn't really call that a "bass beast", not by a long shot ... Maybe I'm just not EQing it properly.
The 770 is a bass monster by most metrics. the mmx300 has about 3db less bass/sub bass but a similar response curve. you using the 770 with pleather pads or the velour pads? pleather pads seal and extend deeper. a velour pad on any headphone allows more air to escape.
@@gamingaudioguide9292 Than you for the reply! I will try and get some of those pleather pads, but not sure if they make them for the MMX 330s, I wonder if the ones for the 770/ 880/ 990s will fit, I will try that for sure!
everyone saying if you want to plug into phone or laptop for music listening go for 32 ohms but my question is ..is 32 ohm version good for MUSIC PRODUCTION?
You can't really Tell which Sounds the best Like that. It really Depends which device youre plugging them in...If you want to Plug them Into your Mobile Phone or Laptop, a lower Impedance Like the 32 Ohm Model Sounds way better than a high Impedance model such as the 250 Ohm Version, because they need less Power, so less voltage to Power them. The higher 250 Ohm Model therefore would Sound weird because theres nearly no Sound considering the Low Output Power. For an Audio Interface although, the 250 Ohm Model is great, because it can handle and Power them to get a Clear Sound. But you can also Plug the 80 or 32 Ohm Version in a Audio Interface, but you have to consider keeping it on a Low Volume because they can get Boosted very loudly with an Interface Like that. That's Just how I understood it but If you want more Clearance, i would suggest watching this Video: ua-cam.com/video/9CYmTNc9K14/v-deo.html Hope i could Help :)
@@fastpadder Thank you so much for your help:) but I forgot to mention this, I am going to plug them into my ifi hip dac which will be enough to power the 250 ohms but more then enough to power the 80 ohms, I chose 80 ohms. So my real question is if I did the right choice and if I missing out on a lot of clarity! Don't worry answering thought cause I found it out myself, there is a lot of people that can't hear the difference between the 80 ohms and the 250 ohms, therefore I did a very good choice consedering I can have more volume with the 80 ohms. Still really appreciate your help even though I forgot to mention a few things. Sorry for that!

Laptop Specs: i7 Prozessor 11th Gen, 16 GB RAM
@@fastpadder Your laptop should be able to drive the 80 ohms fine, but you should consider an amp to get them loud enogh! Also it can sound a little bit muddy at times. I can recommend you getting the ifi zen dac/amp or the ifi hip dac/amp. The zen is for desktop use while the hip dac is a portable version of the zen! Which is good if you also wanna connect the headphones to your phone. The zen and hip dac goes for 192 dollars with taxes included in price (it kind of depends where you live) the original price should be at around 130 dollars for the zen and 150 for the hip! A very good thing you can do if you want is to go for the 250 ohms and start with getting the ifi zen dac/amp and then when you have enough money you can buy the zen can, and you have the full combo. You use the zen dac/amp as only a dac and then the can as the amp! You still have the 32 ohm option you know:) which your laptop will definitely be able to power! Thought the 80 ohms version with enough power sound a lot better then the 32 ohm. I recommend you getting the 80 ohms if you have the money for an amp or will have enough in the near future! If not then go for the 32 ohms version rather. Keep in mind if going for a amp/dac the hip dac and zen dac is what to go for! Btw: if you have a macbook, it will be more then enough to power the dt770 pro 80 ohms. You can even you for the 250 ohms but I do not recommend that! Sorry for such a long answer!

@@gamingaudioguide9292 I'm just kinda worried about the 770's piercing highs I'm looking for the best separation and clarity between the instruments. The mx50s are off the table due to the scooped mids . The mx40s seem like a viable option but I'm not sure yet. Anyways thanks for the reply
If it can help I tried this pair from a friend and for bands like Animals as leaders they sound great! Big and precise bass (no beats muddiness here) while retaining a great clarity and a surprisingly good soundstage for closed backs🙂
Which pair have you gotten? I listen to the same stuff that you do and have the same dilemma, like literally those three sets are what I have my eyes on.
I have these! I never wanna listen to them! The midrange sounds like mud. It has only sub bass and treble. The bass is boomy and muddy af, the midrange is so recessed vocals and voices sound like they're in the other room, like somebody's screaming from under a thick blanket, it's god awful, these are so dark because of that. The whole midrange is just so terribly tuned on them. It really kills most of the body of any song. The way to describe it is it sounds like any music you play sounds like it's on speakers in a different room. And they do image well, but the tuning kills me.

do i need a dac and amp on the 32 or 80 ohm version? im gonna use these for music and watching movies, maybe non competitive gaming and streaming. i hope you answer
For the 32 version you dont need an amp, but you need int on the 80 ohm version
@@felp4219 and the 32 Ohm is kinda need an amp to actually drive it to the fullest with phones lol.
@@Gwynsladle yeah on phones you need an amp, but that doesn't actually work. I don't use it with my phone, but you should really get the 16 ohm version if you want to use it on your phone properly. I bought the 80 ohm version and I could use them normally, but I almost used the max sound when I used them normally, so if you're only using them without an amp on your computer you should consider getting nothing higher than 32 ohms
I play guitar in a boss me-70 multi-effect with a headphone output impedance of 44 ohms. Which headphones are suitable 32 80 or 250? with current Akg k271 with 55 ohm impedance they clip terribly thanks
I wasn't able to find the specs of the headphone out on that device. If it is indeed 44 ohms, you want the 250 ohm version. it would be nice to see a power rating spec as well, but I couldn't find it.

hey people im looking to purchase the beyerdynamic dt770 32ohm headphones would you recommend their sound quality and bass?Im only using for music and might use dac.
You should try the 770 pro x version. It has an updated driver with better sub bass and less distortion at high volume.
@tylerthere5832 I brought the 770 pro the sound reproduction I'd fantastic 👌
I want this for music and gaming (ps5), im very used to flat response, i use the Sennheiser HD280Pro it is very flat i guess, the bass is not that present but is very deep, and im good with that, i wana upgrade with these, they have good/decent soundstage right??
Does anyone know if you can buy a set of velour cups for these? I bought the 32 ohms I’d really like it if I could put those nice velour cups.
You can buy the 770V pads direct from Beyerdynamic and often on Amazon.

Will wearing velor pads change the sound signature?
yes, you'll get a little less bass and a little more treble energy
which game is this has played.?
everyone saying if you want to plug into phone or laptop for music listening go for 32 ohms but my question is ..is 32 ohm version good for MUSIC PRODUCTION?
I Would like to know that too
Will the 80 ohms version sound as good as the 250 ohms version?
Btw: what year was these headphones released?
That's Just how I understood it but If you want more Clearance, i would suggest watching this Video:

Hope i could Help :)
@@elliotandersson8302 Sure no Problem, glad you could fix it :) Could you Maybe Help me? Im still trying to figure Out if i should get the 80 Ohm Model If i want to Plug it directly Into my Laptop without an Audio Interface and If it will have the Power to Deliver a loud and bright Sound.
Laptop Specs:
i7 Prozessor 11th Gen, 16 GB RAM
@@elliotandersson8302 Thank you so much for an Detailed answer Like this! :)
I did Not really Plan on buying a Audio Interface, because of all the other Studio gear i still want to buy😅😅 but im definitely considering it now! Hope you have s great day and Thanks again :)
Can i use it straight to the mobo or do i need a sound card
I mean will there be a difference in the sound
depends on what your built in audio solution is. Good chance you do not.
med end to high end mobo already have a decent sound card iirc, but get a sound card just to be safe, and instead get the 80 ohm version for all kinds of activities, 32 ohms are only decent to be used with phones
Is there a way to swap out the pads to the velour pads if you wanted to?
absolutely. the pads pull off and you just work the new pads on with a circular motion on a little track they have. it's a little tricky the first couple tries, but really works pretty well.
@@gamingaudioguide9292 Will wearing velor pads change the sound signature?
Which one has better noise isolation? 32 or 80?
Both same
@@Rami-bi9xj It's not the same. Stop spreading misinformation. Pleather pads on 32 ohm version isolate better than valour pads on 80 ohm version. Also less sound leakage.
@@chrysio7 do u have them both?
Hey, I'm pretty much looking at two headphones. Since I can't decide I'd like to hear your opinion on which headphones i should get. So basically i can't decide between these and the audio technica m50x. I'm mainly getting them for listening to music, but also some mixing once in a while.
Also i forgot to mention that these will be my first pair of good quality headphones and also that currently where i live, the 770 pros are about 175 usd, while the m50x over 200 usd.
If you can EQ them or have a passive filter, the 770. If not, the m50x.
I wish you had mentioned whether there are parts that are metal and where the headphones are made.
Sorry. I try to be thorough but do indeed miss some things from time to time. :) You can find full details on the website, including a .pdf spec sheet at the bottom of the page; north-america.beyerdynamic.com/dt-770-pro-32-ohm.html
I'm on the search for some great headphones for casual home listening. I listen to prog metal and deathcore ( periphery, whitechapel ) so I would like something with a balanced sound profile without shitty overpowering bass I'm currently between the audio technica mx 50,40 and the dt770. I'm open to other recommendations as long as the suggested headphones are reasonably priced and have a low impedance rating
out of those, assuming you aren't using EQ, I would go with the m50x. If you are going to EQ the 770 would be my preference.
I listen to the same stuff that you do and have the same dilemma, like literally those three sets are what I have my eyes on.
hi
looking for accurate combative headphone
i have now ATH-M40x
i can go to 500$ maybe more if its very good for 10 years lol
Do u need a amp for these headphones?
No, these are litterally 32 ohm, amps are required for 300+ ohm headphones
for PC? 32ohm or 80ohm?
80 ohm plug n play, 250ohm if you have sound card. 32ohm is a wasted potential on PC since its mostly used for phone usage.
Can I connect this to a PC without a amp
For 32 ohm version yes
U can plug this to you phone!
A lot of voice actors use these too
💕👍
I got them but icl I dont like them that much
great video! 555th like
I have these! And they do image well, but the tuning kills me.
what would you recommend then? Im looking for 32 ohm headphones
Pass.....
this cans is a bitch to run on phone lmao xD i need amps to drive it correctly, you actually can drive it with Wavelet on android phones to actually feel the bass. i almost sold this cans because i was angry and hopeless to drive this cans correctly until i found the app. xD
