My family had one of these Zetor K-25 tractors in the 80s. After we bought it, my dad completely restored it. I was there the whole time. I was about 12 years old. We used it for years after that, I got to drive it a lot. Plowing, tilling, shipping. It was a great experience as a kid. It was a very interesting tractor.
To be honest I rather have -5C then +1C when working in the forest. When it’s warmer anything you touch with snow on melts and you get wet and subsequently really cold. Bellow -5C the snow keeps being frozen and you stay dry. But somewhere between -15 and -20C it’s starts to become increasingly miserable.
I was looking forward to this! Your survival series are so well made. Good content, no annoying music, effects or silly screaming like many other UA-camrs do. Just the story and your calm voice. So relaxing...
the Porsche Junior would fit perfectly in this mini series i know its only available through the modle kit and 3rd party sites but it is an other beautiful vintage tractor (those same sites also have super strength ;P )
Would be neat if you could sell these shorter logs to more local stores instead like for firewood, but i guess maybe the lumber-mil could be / probably is processing it into cords of firewood This is exactly how I would wanna start playing this game! After the basic tutorials & scenarios of course, wouldnt wanna go into this game almost totally blind lol. Watching your most current Survival Challenge Multiplayer on No Mans Land has *Fully* convinced me to add this to my wishlist, and at a higher priority!
Love that Zetor. Forestry on Erlengrat mountains is challenging even with modern equipment. Always struggling with grip, trailer tips if you're not careful all the time, logs roll far away if you fell them in wrong direction. One of my favorite things in FS19.
Hi lm 10 years old my name is David love your videos you made me want to be a UA-camr thank you you are the best you are flying through eps l want to make videos with you one day when lm a UA-camr keep it up keep safe see you in the next episode
Not sure how but I managed to binge watch all your FS 22 videos in 2 days. Also, I find it funny that while you and everybody else is here playing FS 22 I’m over in my house playing the OG, FS 17…
I think that Erlengrat is probably my favorite map that Giants added into the game (the two new ones are really nice though. Been focusing on Elm Creek personally). I am glad it got the FS22 treatment. Looking forward to this series!
The antics of getting a vintage tractor down the hill and having the trailer pushing you was enough to get me excited for this series. :) Also the sound of the Zetor reminds me of the vintage tractors that I saw at tractor shows with my dad when I was a kid.
Just when I think your videos couldn’t possibly get any better, booom! This episode was absolutely amazing. Forget a mini series build this up and keep it going! Intro was FANTASTIC!!! Great job Dagg
I had been couple of times in forrest to assist with logging. Cables as thick as two thumbs are hooked for couple of big logs and pulled out from thick forrest (how many logs are pulled out depends of tractor power - I was in forrest when guys came with IMT 539 and Zetor 7711). Guy with Zetor started to pull out some logs, his front part of tractor went up for 1 meter. Just frigging unbelivable. You cannot belive how hard work that is. When logs are pulled out from forrest, then they are cut to 1 meter lenght. And 1 cubic metre of mixture of oak and hornbeam costs in between 40-50 euros. Black locust, or pines are cheaper because they are not as good for heating as oak. Amazing, but really hard working job.
FS22: Homeless challenge You own a crappy pickup truck, and the clothes on you back. You can start in the spring if you want, so you can do contracts, but you need to do it in hard mode.
Also as a FYI for anyone who need to make a fire to survive DON'T use green wood (aka freshly chopped wood) if you can help it because it will be extremely difficult to light due to how much moisture will be stored in the wood, you will be better with wood from trees that are dead (but not rotten) because they will have a much lower moisture content and be easier to catch on fire but once you get a decent fire going then you can introduce wet/green wood but it will take longer to burn and catch on fire.
Also the structure of the way one has/adds the logs makes a massive difference on how easy it is to light the fire and how well it burns and how likely the fire is to go out due to either wind, not enough oxygen, or running out of fuel because of being incapable to ignite other material as a result of the structure.
I love the look of the snow, it makes me miss home❄️🚜. By the way I have a friend that wear's shorts in the snow, crazy 🙄. Thanks for starting a new series.
The zetor and the Porsche tractor are cool but I would love to see more old American tractors like an international pack or an old John Deere pack I would love that
I love how you do a little bit of role play in your series "How are these people out without coats they must be freezing *burr* crikey he's wearing shorts!" 🤣😂 Love it!
FYI, when in manual transmission mode, space bar changes the transmission to reverse. This way you don't have to hit the key several times. This also works to go from reverse to forwards and keeps the same gear you were in.
I love the Survival series from you, Now i wonder when we get the next video in this serie. I hope it comes weekly so we don't have to wait too long for the next one.
A good trick is to put rocks near the fire to heat up and take them into the shed to radiate heat through the night. In case you need another night in the shed.
sassy opening mr fancy pants. love that classsic Zetor 25. picked one up for myself. my granny taught me a little german toast (you know germans and their toast)..goes like this. Lasst euch nicht lumpen, hoch mit dem Humpen..wir sind wie Shits Creek in den Hügeln, and with no paddle either..used that to light the fire. loll. Happy Holiday folks.
That "cabin" looks very uncomfortable to sleep in. Its like 1mx1m Also should work out a way to start with some debt, you did obtain the land and equipment after all ;)
You said "tonight we have some raisins" and then you panned down to look at your seat in first person, I was thinking you're going to say "and some nuts", but then I chuckled, realizing where you were pointing the camera 🤣😅
soon as I click on this video, insta-like click. been waiting for the first episode of survival on fs22! daggerwin you're awesome my dude, keep up the great work! I look forward to the next episode!
I don't think the economy is actually harder.. It's just because you automatically start with seasons it slows down the progress of being able to sow, harvest and re-till in 1 day
You should probably turn the tractor and trailer around so it faces the road before you load it with logs, that way you don't struggle on the snow and ice.
You are very brave to do a playthrough like this I along with multiple others have run into a nasty texture bug cutting down trees. The trees have a chance to break their textures stretching into HUGE triangles and squares blocking huge chunks of your view. I tried everything to fix it but had to basically abandon the save because of it.
I've had that too, especially when cutting down american elm's. You can still cut them, hand lift them onto a low loader to sell & get rid of. Also, the forestry mulcher can help & make them disappear. Don't quit your save game you can get rid of them with a bit of patience.
@@SweetBolin Not on my save no matter how much I tried to mulch them wouldn't work and I couldn't find the base of the log because the actual trunk broke into pieces visually.
@@SweetBolin I also noticed something else on a side note in case anyone takes the time to read this. I didn't even notice the seasonal price graph option as a result sold a huge amount of produce off at below optimal price and lost out. I can't stress this enough unless you are flat broke WAIT for seasonal price increases on goods.
@@catrionasloanei6847 yep I've started making furniture in my factory & noticed now is not the time to sell, suits me I have an addiction to storing pallets on shelves lol. Seasons for me is a waste of time, so seasons off, snow off, 1 day a month settings, I just ignore what month it is and plant what I want when I want. Price fluctuations are still in effect though.

An actual survival mode in this game where you had to take care of your health would actually be pretty cool

Find some big rocks to warm by the fire then before bed put them in the shed. At least it will be warm to get to sleep.
