We have traveled extensively in Mexico, but remote areas we have avoided. Did you have any risky situations being a bit remote? Some primitive towns are primitive and sometimes there's petty thieves around.
Thanks for checking it out! Yes we are aware that technically "central America" isn't a continent. It's just an easy way to describe the location, I suppose saying Latin America would be more fitting.
Fantastic video. You provided us with a lot of great information. Thanks! One question I have is how were you able to legally fly your drone in Mexico? The Mexican government web site on drones says that only Mexican citizens can operated a drone in Mexico. How did you guys get around that? Thanks for the great video! ~ Mike
Thanks for taking the time to watch our video and to comment! About the drone.. so we didn't do our due diligence and read any regulations on drones. So we just flew it without thinking, in front of locals as well. No one seemed to care that we either had it or was flying it. Many other travelers (not that that is a reason to do it) were also flying theirs. So certainly use your own discretion in your time down there!
Great video and adventure. Im prepping my jeep for overlanding and will be doing this family style. How is gas and getting it there? And how do you recommend carrying your money or using bank card etc? Thank you.
It would be wise to carry at least one Jerry can with you. There are some large sections with no services, especially if you want to get off the beaten track. You can usually pay with a visa card for gas, we didn't have any trouble. But we always kept a few thousand pesos on board in a locked and hidden compartment
@justtravlin Ahhhh nice, thank you for responding, setup for 5g gas and extra 5g water. Enjoying your content. Thank you kindly from Ventura SO Cal...Not to far away from the border...
Hotel California is not the hotel that the Eagles song is about, actually the Eagles sued The Hotel for claiming that it was about the song. I lived in Todos Santos for eight years…
I'd love to make that trip with my family, but we are too risk adverse. I just read this report from 3/24 regarding crime in Mexico: According to these statistics, four Baja California cities including Tijuana, Rosarito, Mexicali and Ensenada account for 97 percent of all crime in the state. And figures also show Baja California is number one when it comes to car theft in all of Mexico. According to Mexico’s Defense Secretary, 1,008 cars were reported stolen in Baja along with 167 homicides just in the month of January. I had a friend make a trip to the Baja with a group during covid, they spoke fluent Spanish. They had their tent trailer stolen while in a grocery store near the Mexican border, on the US side.
It's definitely important to use caution when traveling to certain parts of Mexico. But keep in mind how large this country is. Mexico is beautiful and the people are so nice. Of all our travels we did, Mexico is the only country we want to go back to and explore more, it's our absolute favorite. Check out the state of Chiapas, our favorite.
@@justtravlinthe weather is beautiful, high 80’s mid 90’s , Fahrenheit. Zero wind wherever you go, the water is warm Everywhere! clear and sunny skies! I have done Baja many many times for several years, all months of the year and for sure , try May or October . Great videos!!! Keep it up and I’ll keep watching for sure!
Haha. Jup! Good looking fish... tasting, not so much. And lots of bones. Anyway, he was probably happy that the stupid foreigners bought it 😂 probably made his day lol
The good thing is, you don't have to. Thank you for pointing out the mistake. We are well aware we said that wrong. We still appreciate you taking the time to write a message and give our video a bump up. Have a lovely day and keep traveling ❤️
Baja is not close to 2000 km long. Sensationalizing how vast, empty and gorgeous somewhere and broadcasting it on UA-cam will only promote to change that. Get a clue please!
Over two months we zig-zagged through the peninsula and drove approximately 2000 kilometers. Also, we are hardly the first people to drive to baja so we will keep doing what we please ☺️ Thanks for checking out our video!

Wow, it was great. The only thing is that Mexico is in North America and not Central America.

Mexico is NORTH AMERICA
You're absolutely right 🤙
What awning do you have on your truck camper. I would like to get one for my truck camper.
👍😍😍😍 Great video!!!
Thank you 🤗
Awesome video. Baja Peninsula is a 4wheeling beachin paradise. Like your Tacoma setup.
Thank you! It really is! We try to travel thoroughly so that we don't have to return. But Baja always stays in the back of our mind ❤️
Love this video!! And I'm jealous. I'm hoping to have my Tacoma set up to travel there for the '24/'25 winter. Travel safe!!
Definitely do so ❤️ it's an experience of a lifetime.
Content epic love the whales , please let the episodes come greetings
We'll keep making them as long as people want them, and we keep enjoying the process 🤙

Thanks for clarifying 👍

Thank you. We are glad you liked it!
Now one of the most expensive places you can go more than the United States.

I like the video but one thing Mexico is not Central America Mexico is North America like Canada North America North America start in Mexico
We know that. But thank you for taking the time to write a message and clear this up. Have a lovely day
Nope. If your plan isn’t whale watching, May or October are the best months of the year for Baja .
Maybe next time we'll go then 🤙

Hotel California was not named after any Hotel.
sorry but as you may have found out, the rooster fish is an awful tasting fish.

Mexico is not Central America, its part of North America, Central American starts with Guatemala and Belize south of Mexico

cant continue to view with you calling Mexico Central America WTF

Oh no. Why is that man wearing the lsraeI soldier uniform at the end of the video? Unsubscribe.
There are no Isreali soldiers in this video. Only us and the wonderful Mexican citizens of Baja 🤙
Be careful things are changing down here. We have a new government and don't look good.
So we heard. Thank you for your comment ❤️
Baja California is not Central America it is North America, get your facts straight
You are right! A mistake is easily made. We just happen to not be perfect, just like everyone else.
