As a West Chester student, I'd go to that .all during this era and it would be dead during the week, and not crowded on th weekend. Boscov's was the only anchor store back then.
I go by this mall almost evey week cause I'm local..its amazing to see its growth. Back in the 90's the mall wasnt super busy like it was today. Plymouth Meeting Mall was a ghost town, but Granite Run and Springfield malls were both thriving.
Thank you for posting this! I grew up going to KOP and it’s hard to remember what it looked like before all the renovations. My cousin and I used to race up and down that ramp by Wanamakers when we were little 😁
Lived in kop in 80 and 81 . I moved there from Chicago and lived in an old wooden house on the corner of 202@ 363 I've been back a lot but sometimes I wish I had moved back since I made so many friends. Including a lady I met at fanfair who I should have married I think. I remember this mall not the monstrousity it is now. I lived to eat at ground round and bought a newspaper every morning at the newstand out front
1:49 That's definitely a Babbage's Software store during the height of the 16-bit era! Man, I tried so hard to identify anything in there but alas it's just too blurry aside from the Sega header.
What were the names of the 90s restaurants on the top parking deck of the KOP Mall? You had to walk over a bridge to get to 1. My parents used to get stuffed mushrooms and a particular alcoholic drink with a toy whale on it
Miss that spiral ramp (awesome, by the way) and trees inside malls. Thanks for this time capsule!
Oh gosh, my childhood mall! I remember the layout and all of the stores. Wow.
Now we need old footage of the Exton Square Mall! The oldest one I could find is from 2009, though there wasn't a "tour" video until 2012.
2012 link?

This video brought back memories for me at KoP. Wee Three Records and Wall to Wall Sound & Video, all of these stores I shopped in!
Besides the individual stores, the layout of that mall’s section hasn’t changed at all since 1993

Miss the old mall it's too expensive nowadays
Depends what you are looking for. H&M. Hot Topic. Primark are not expensive.
This was awesome!
Lol none of these stores around anymore
JC penny is still around and in the mall.
