      Well to be honest I don't really no because we don't really know Steve like that other than TV but he given one good pointer. That's definitely the way to do it but there's a whole lot more to it than just that. Just that amount you probably be dead before you can do anything $10 these days ain't hit nothing.

    My "friend" from high school said he's going to Florida State for business management, I told him I'm gonna detail cars. He laughs and says "I feel bad for you". I've been detailing cars for 7 months now $50-$100 per vehicle, with about 7-13 vehicles per day. Yesterday he reaches out to me hoping to find someone who can relate to financial struggle instead I enlightened him on how just about everyone owns a car and in the city people drive luxury cars who like to keep them spotless and explained the same math to him. Imn addition he's failing 2 classes and has all C's. First semester isn't even over....I told him "I feel bad for you"

    No matter how much someone tries to help others, there is always going to be the pessimist who live quiet lives of desperation and try to be negative because they don't have the balls to do it, so they tell others they can't because they fear you may succeed and accomplish the very thing they wanted but allowed their fear to prevent them for getting it.. This is awesome and revolutionize my e-commerce business

Steve's theory is still great when you understand that in order to serve people efficiently, you have to do it in a certain way-

      @Hersh Z buddy speaking from experience? I am. You’re not wrong in that if you have a big salary you have extra money to invest and grow you money and then the more you invest the more you make. This is true. But to think the ones of us who made a million were somehow “special” isn’t true. One thing we all have in common is the right attitude.

    You people miss the point. He's talking about the idea of "If there is a will there is a way" so if you have a 10$ idea, you would find a resource or platform in order to duplicate and expand your efforts in order to improve the quantity produced by your work. He doesnt mean wash 1000000 cars a day or mow 100000 lawns, he means finding a resource, another person, some type of way to get others to follow you and help your duplicate your efforts, therefore your 10$ idea will be mass produced and increase the money you get. If you don't understand this concept then you either are immature or don't understand business lol

So that $10 profit is now $2 and you have to find another 100K people to sell the crap for $10 and supplies and c.o.g and shipping come to play. Some people can't see the forest for the trees.

      You missed the point. This is a comedian who certainly didn't get rich and famous selling an hour of his labor for $10, and then just doing it 100,000 more times (never mind time limitations, or living expenses-he assumes the entire price is profit), advising others to take that unworkable formula and run with it.
      In case you think I'm seeing negative in everything; that is false; there is very good business advice out there, and very good comedy; check out Jay Abraham if you want real workable business advice; Steve Harvey if you want comedy. I doubt Abraham could make it in comedy, but he is a $50k a day consultant for businesses, many of whom are millions richer for it. Jay Abraham should probably stay out of comedy as a profession, and by the same token, Steve Harvey should stay out of the business advice game.
      Every time anyone criticizes anything, you could say "there's always people seeing negative...", but that is a silly thing to say without giving any reason why the criticism is ill founded. In this case, it is very well founded; there is simply no business information in this video; just daydreaming.

    • @JohnGrayFinance

      Greg Vinson actually that is precisely what Steve did, he didn't start out selling his comedy routines, he did it mostly for free in the beginning. That's the point. He built the idea and then he could charge more for his labor, the same way someone charging 10 bucks for something now can charge 100 bucks for that service when they build a client base and have a reputation that the market is willing to pay for

      Once you've made it, you're in a position to use the same tools, asset protection strategies, and tax advantages that everyone in that income bracket is afforded... Eventually if you can duplicate you process like he says and employ legal asset protection strategies, you can become $1M Liquid....
      Someone making $20k a year will give you 100 reasons you can't make $1M dollars a year; But someone who's made $1M dollars.....WHOSE ACTUALLY WORKED A SUCCESSFUL PROCESS... can give you 200 reasons you CAN make $1M dollars a year.

      The problem is you start getting diminishing returns.(in terms of liability) Because as soon as you get big and one of your employees hurts themselves you loose a million dollars where before you can just tell the judge that you only have a few hundred grand and they will settle for that. I think that's one of the big reasons these companies tend to have no more than 20 or 30 crew members.(it's enough to get rich on but not enough to loose your businesses profitability)

    • @TGPtrev
      @TGPtrev 8 років тому +3

      The problem with your diminishing returns statement is that Steve is talking about MAKING one million, not growing capacity or gross/net returns. If you make one million, but spend one million, buddy, you have earned one million dollars. That's all he's saying.

    • @calebgardner5524

      Trevor Pickens Liability is a cost of operating almost any business and should be factored into the business plan. This is why insurance is so prevalent in almost every sector. If he said take your $1,000 from haircuts and open up a hair salon and employ other people then that would be compounding. You would be leveraging your current wealth to earn wealth at a greater rate. Doing the same thing 100,000 times is not leveraging any of your previous gains, you will not likely find people with $900,000 who started off cutting hair and are still cutting hair.

      So
      10x10 =100
      100x10 = 1000
      1000x10 = 10,000

    Most critical point he made was at the beginning. What’s your God given gift, talent, passion, ability. God has already given your everything you need to succeed. Other people want that you can offer them. When you can do it small $10 serving people this will naturally lead to success if you do the work, build a team and stay consistent.

    So many ignorant people. Listen to him the message is clear. Focus your efforts on something you're good at and have a passion for and scale it up. It's not the only way but it's a sure way that's commonly used. I would add to hire or partner with people who fill your weaknesses. Me = close to the mill/year club playing video games in my undies all day.

      Not if you think big & smart.
      Example: What if you sold the square gum out of a .25 twist handle vending machine at a local gas station. Sure that 1 vending machine might make you $20 a month ($240/year) but what if you put that same machine & product in 30 other stores every 6 months.- Now that's $600 a month ($7,200/year) Assuming you could get 60 stores a year, after 5 years you would be making $6,000/month or $72,000/year. When you need to scale again, you add 2 more machines in every store with different product. Wha-la, now you're making $18,000/month or $216,000 a year.
      Even if this was just your gross income and net income was 50% after taxes and hiring someone to fill the machines it would make you a millionaire soon enough with passive income working a handful of hours a week.
      If you have any hustle, that's an achievable long term "example". Many more examples when you consider the power of the internet or online marketing.
      I mean shoot, the fence guy is over here today putting up a wooden fence. He does an awesome job and has been doing it for 15 years. Puts them up 2-3x faster than anyone else and quality work. He's a millionaire. He learned how to put up great fences and has probably done it so many thousands of times over 15+ years.
      It was like my software business that works in the affiliate market area. I got 1 customer who purchased something through eBay and made me $5 once my first customer bought something through our app. Next idea was...hey, well how do I get more customers like this guy and get customers like him to buy over and over again. I talk to my customers, build the product around their ideas and use analytics to find out how people are finding our website. Rinse-Wash-Repeat. Has hundreds of daily users now.
      Of course, think big.
      Don't worry about failing and keep at it and it's a realistic goal for anyone who lives in America with hard work and effort. So many want to create the next facebook, win the lottery or strike it rich all at once. That's not realistic.
      It's hard work it just pays off better in the long run.
      Hope some literal examples might help you realize the value in his concept.
      If not, just remember becoming financially rich isn't for everyone.

    • @DudeRevolution
      @DudeRevolution 7 років тому +1

      NO. The message isn't about focus and effort, it's mathematics. If you do a $10 thing ten times to make a $100, then do it 10 more times, you DO NOT HAVE $1000. YOU have $200.

    • @dustinjones868
      @dustinjones868 7 років тому

      Math is correct if you follow the concept. Consider the $10 X 10 times series "A", where "A" = $100. You're then trying to find a way to scale doing series "A" 10 times. A X 10 = $1,000 (B). Then you find a way to scale B X 10 = $10,000 (C). Both our maths are correct but one will get you to a million much faster. True, the most difficult part is finding a way to scale each series and is actually the most difficult part but hey, he didn't say it's easy. Just giving a realistic concept on an approach to reach the club.

    I remember watching this and hearing people thinking this advice was lame... then I met someone who's likely more wealthy than Steve and they gave advice just as simple as this... moral of the story, it's NOT impossible, and it's NOT easy, but it IS simple. Stick to it, master it, and optimize it. The biggest businesses and wealthiest people you know always started w/ the first sale.

    • @mattnormandrums

      I completely agree with you. One step at a time versus trying to scale a mountain in a few steps. It can be applied to anything that is a large goal.
      Navy Seals crawl from one tree to the next, over and over in Hell Week. They don't focus on graduating BUDS in one or two steps.
      Lastly, from experience, the little steps that it takes to gain are excellent real life lessons and teachings that you cannot find anywhere else. Certainly not in any classroom.
      Be well!!

    • @MortarMike
      @MortarMike 2 роки тому +1

      @@mattnormandrums Respect! As a veteran myself (USMC) I got your analogy, and you're 100% right. We often times only see the end results of someone's hard work publicly, and undercut the actual steps it took to get there. If someone said they ran 10 miles, we can just say "That's a lotta steps, I've never done that before," or we can learn approximately how many "steps" they took to run it, but we can't run 10 miles taking giant leaps and bounds with every step. Our form falters, we get exhausted... the incremental growth is great because it also allows you to scale in a healthy manner, as opposed to quickly and uncontrollably, which is typically unsafe. It's simple, not necessarily easy, but it IS simple.
      Blessings my dude, thanks for replying!

Figuring out a business where you can scale and find enough customers to make that kind of money is the thing to figure out.

    the point being is that if you try to come up with a million dollar idea you will be sitting there forever doing nothing while you could have come up with an idea to make $10 way faster. of course eventually there are only so many hours a day that you will have to hire a worker. eventually you will hire more workers and the revenues as well as people working for you will multiply. this is a much better start to getting to a million dollars rather than doing nothing.
