I’m currently a licensed Optician in NJ. I’m 57 and have doing this for 33yrs. I am so sick of it and people are mean every day. I start Phlebotomy School next week. I hope my old ass brain can retain😂 and succeed. Thank you for sharing your journey💗
I’m new here, hey girl hey!!! I just got accepted to the medical assistant program (they teach phlebotomy as well) the program starts in Aug, I’m in summer school knocking out some classes because in 3/4 semesters I’ll have my certificate and associates 🎉 with about 4 more classes I will be able to apply for the RN, BSN program. At the tender age of 36 I’m so proud to see more POC in the medical field 💪🏽

This is something I made the decision of this year to start as far as my journey. 😌 thank you for sharing the honest brutal truth that you had multiple interviews when coming straight out of school. 🫶🏽 I appreciate that, so it doesn’t give me the chance to be depressed or down. So, but let me get back to this video. 😊
Hi dear.i loved your content. Just a small question if you dont mind. Does phlebotomist course need maths or not? I want to do certification course on phlebotomy so wanted to know how hard is the course?
Anyone heard of the bootcamp one day phlebotomy course? Its normally a few weeks from my research. So hard to believe in one day you can learn everything..
Hello, any tips or advices on how to draw blood like the correct way? And when you stick someone and it's hard to get there blood how do you go about doing that?
Hi! When a pt comes in with a hard draw I make sure my tourniquet is tight and make sure I’m checking both arms if it’s available for me to do a draw on , I never stick a pt until I’m absolutely sure that I’m feeling a vein, most pt with hard draws have amazing hand veins so that’s my go to spot if I have no luck on the arms and I always palpate across never going up or down because that’s a very easy way to miss a vein that you can’t see but can feel ..
I’m currently taking classes can’t wait to be finished and take the state test. Hopefully it won’t take long for me to find a job as a tech phlebotomy technician
