- This is a blues guitar lesson more aimed at the beginner level and covers a standard blues rhythm (blues in A) along with combining the A minor blues scale in it's "box 1" shape.
This is a great way that you can improve on a lot of skills: learning the 12 bar blues chord progression and keeping track in your own head of where you are at any given time, counting and keeping good time on your own, mixing together blues chords and licks together.

how can you get through 12 bars without changing into a D pentatonic then an E pentatonic position or are all the notes you need locked up in that fifth fret box?
Yes, I think... the simplest approach to a blues is to use nothing but I (in this case A) minor pentatonic through all 3 chords.
What blues scale do you use for blues in A MINOR?

This is great but the strings sounding against the fretboard is quite off-putting
time is to music as to what your heart beat is to life if you cant keep time and play solid rythym all those scales and technique is nothing more than noise
