You know what’s super helpful? When you played through the rhythm chords and put the chord names up! Now I don’t have to struggle to figure out how to play that sweet song.
It’s the same chord progression throughout with different approaches to solo over it. If I may suggest: 1. Write the progression down 2. Play the progression over metronome or a 6/8 drum loop for a few times until you can internalise it 3. Then practice the soloing ideas outlined in this wonderful lesson I find it easier if I can sort of hear the progression in my head; get a good idea of the movements of the chords; and, being able to anticipate/be ready for what’s coming
Fantastic lesson! I love that you’ve got two levels of study in here. One, building the confidence to see what you’re doing throughout, to be able to follow it and recognize the intervals and arpeggios that give birth to those singing notes and then the second stage, sitting down and trying to actually play along! Love it!
Subscribed. You're awesome and very good at explaining things. I feel since i improved my technique and knowledge of the intervals i can start working on phrasing since i have a long way to go!
Beautiful stuff brother. Hey i have an i35 too. Mine has the lollar imperials.…Wondering if yours does or throwbaks? And whats your sig path…your tone on both the harmonic and melodic stuff is just killin! Incredible playing and teaching as well! Duh.

Another amazing lesson! I have a question if you have time (or anyone else in the chat). What exactly constitutes 'gospel changes'? Thanks again Jack!

Awesome lesson. Definitely going to spend some time learning this. I noticed it’s not on Patreon. Are you going to be posting the tabs/backing track?
