I think that the centre propeller is used to create centreline drag (fulcrum) for the "dominant" prop to push against. I'm guessing that without it, the turning would be less responsive.
Love the review! Even though you posted this awhile back, good information! I found one at the park today! While walking the dogs it fell out of a very tall pine tree, spooked Leon who tried to protect me from this blue divebombing birdie! This one didnt have the landing wheels, (might still be in the tree) this one is blue with a removable lipo battery. I have a dozen or so rc planes and familiar with the process. I will try and bind it and see if it will fly!!!
How do you charge it? I lost the instructions. Do you have to turn on both the transmitter and receiver to charge, or leave both off, or one or the other on/off? There's a light on the charge lead and sometimes it is off or on depending on if I have the receiver transmitter turned on or off.
These little planes are pretty nice for the price - the flight times are impressive I always feel a twinge of jealousy every time I see your amazing property - but it was 90 degrees at my place yesterday, so I feel better now
I saw a comment on another video about this plane and it said that it is really hard to keep in the air and that it is hard to fly. Would it be hard for a new rc pilot?
Haha! That front prop looks super funny now man! That really cracked me up :) Excellent review buddy! I like that plane :) It looks cool for what it is... flies different.. Good job on that windy flight! Hmm seems wurth the $$ to me :) Cheers & have a good weekend
I have every Flybear model. They all fly great. I don't attach the landing gear, which makes them tail heavy. So I stick some 3M wall picture mounting putty to get the CG back. I did break the blades off the prop to reduce drag, but keep CG. Absolutely awesome for a first RC flying model. If I had to choose , the 802 is a great glider, but the 808 biplane is too much fun and flies best in wind I found.
If we don't put all 6 batteries in the transmitter, does it still work? It's so annoying to use so many batteries, especially with my coke can car and Bayang X7 car lying around in my home. XD
+Analog JAC I have to diagree on being fragile. I have found it to be one of the thoughest quads I have! I smashed it into the wall on purpose 10 times to test it and nothing happened! Now I am sure if you hit it the right way it will break though ;D
The 3 channel Wltoys Cessna. You can use those electronics to put in this plane. If you ever saw the pictures on bang good they "upgraded it" by hollowing it out.
When you are on the bang good site (I just saw it on bang good) and you are under the piper j-3 product page you can scroll down and find pictures. There will be a title labeled "spare parts" and said it can be upgraded to a 3 ch rudder plane. Then I forget were it said to use the Wltoys 3channel Cessna.
Pretzil295 Hmm, very intersting. I did not even know BG sold it. I looked at it, and it does indeed say that. I don't see how it could be a "good" mod, as you are adding weight for that, as well as all the glue you have to add after to slice the entire thing apart :/
I have landed it easy because i was huge and sat the throttle down and it glided and landed smooth. It's wery good i have drove in winter and in the summer and one time it flyed 40m up and some one found it like one km away

It's not the best flying plane in the world, but kinda hard to damage and easy to learn.

+The QueensConquerer No, it needs the extra voltage to run.
Ohh....
Hi I just bought this . How do u put the wheels on ?
They just pressure fit into a cavity in the body :)
Is it possible to charge the plane with a cell phone charger?
With the adapted that plugs into the wall, yes.
i've never flown a plane. is this good to start with?
+Dillon Ravindu It is not bad. Easy to pilot, and super forgiving in a crash. Very hard to damage.
+The RCAddict this will be my next purchurse :-)

They have it so you can upgrade to a 3channel.
+Pretzil295 Umm, how so?
The 3 channel Wltoys Cessna. You can use those electronics to put in this plane. If you ever saw the pictures on bang good they "upgraded it" by hollowing it out.
Pretzil295 Umm, I have no idea where you are getting this. The WL Toys Cessna is a much larger plane???
