Obviously you did this pretty quickly... but with time, effort and attention to detail you could make some great armour that would have great use and application. It's a fantastic material to find alternate uses for, but you need to be good at fabrication to make it worth while.
I really like your design of what you built i hope you do a update video on this because I would really like to see it full detailed. But still amazing work and thank you for the inspiration because i want to make my own. One thing you can actually do to make a change is maybe change out the tire for the shoulder and maybe replace it with a bike tire or even a motorcycle tire something a little smaller like that might work and still be lore friendly.
I have a idea for another set of armor that is more wearable but the tire armor is now long gone. it was too heavy and uncomfortable to wear for more than a pic or two. thanks for the comment.

i've just started making my own set of armour, as an educational project on the impact of littering and climate change (I pulled the tyres from a local river which i voluneer to clean up)
The weight is one of the big downsides, as it gets towards what you envision it becomes uncomfortably heavy, not so much that you couldn't wear it but over time it would exhaust you to walk around in it. I appluade your efforts though and would love to see the finished Armour of a eco-warrior. good luck to you.
@@heartsdelightexports I am aware it will be heavy, however its still about the same weight (if not only slightly heavier) as combat body armor worn by soldiers
@@DavidSmith-yv2vb I wish you well in the endeavor. For me it was a idea I needed to explore, the weight was a factor in its comfort of wear but other factors meant that for simple cosplay it wasnt worth it. I would love to see how yours turns out.

I was trying to do something similar over the summer but i couldn't cut through the tire with what I had. My idea though was just to make an insert for my tactical vest, and maybe even add a few ceramic tiles to up the chances of stopping a bullet.
I used a jigsaw blade designed for cutting metal but still had trouble cutting across the steel belts. The effectiveness of this as armor is pretty low and was only intended for Cosplay, making anything effective is out of my league. Thanks for commenting and subscribing.
perhaps if it was fabricated differently it could be made to be more comfortable, but I have no idea how at the moment. would probably be too stiff for animal handling gloves but its a great thought.
@@heartsdelightexports thank you thank you thank you I thought I was in many ways the only person who saw the flaws in the fallout 4 raider armor (and just raider armor in general). I'm a raider at heart (sadly fallout 4 lacks real bad guys) and I love raider armors not that fallout 4 bs though that's weird, I always found it strange that their was an over abundant source of tires, street signs littered throughout the commonwealth and Bethesda being who they are seem to have the minds of babies because they couldn't make practical armor. I mean the stop signs are one thing bang a street sign battle axe and or sword or shield but nope that's not in their. Lots of tires... nop just scrap metal strapped to scrap metal welded to you guessed it SCRAP METAL. Honestly you'd thing that for all the resources in the commonwealth someone would have the bright idea to make new stuff. But yeah stop signs and signs in general, tire armor would be cool to see as well and is only seen on the male equivalent of the blast master raider gear from fo3. I mean this is why mods exist but no one ever touches on that subject no new raider armors made from street signs and car tires. I like what your doing here and I recently just found you so I like that your open to the thought and see fallout 4s armor problem for what it is.

I have a idea I am going to try in a future video to make cool looking scrap metal armor. wanna bet it looks better than whats in the game?? just wait and see.
Car tire armory is a very underrated concept considering how resistant car tires actually are, and how they are available pretty much anywhere

Getting through the seal at the beginning is the hardest part once you get through its not so bad but deffinitley helps to have spare blades
I’m planing a cosplay replica tire armour based on the amour in demolition man
put metal plating between between the rubber , watch most bullets bounce right off if it is angled and tiled

It's a fun project.. cut it into small pieces and somehow male a batman suit.

Wasn't wireless. just a regular old tire. I used a jigsaw blade designed to cut metal. if not for that I would have had a much harder time with it.
