Yes, he did other things, but Linkin Park was his first love- he said so himself, that aside from his family, LP is the thing that matters to him most in life. Without them, he would have died a lot sooner (again, he said that himself, I'm not making anything up).
The reason he's dancing here and not in LP stuff is because the focus in LP was at the band as a whole, it was a conscious decision they made, which is why there were rarely ever solos or show offs by any of the band members. Hin dancing like that would have made everyone only look at him.

I ask myself, when Chester sang with other bands, what did Linkin Park think about it, and what would they feel, fear of losing it or pride in having it ...
The Linkin Park guys always supported guys in the band doing stuff outside of it.
It showed itself most when Chester sang with Stone Temple Pilots, they were really excited for him, and apparently Mike even offered production services to them for their EP (according to what STP guitarist Dean DeLeo said in an interview)
Brad delson theur guitarist stated he always feels so lucky for having one of thr most versatile and best rock singer in history
