After my initial comments on the short video, you guys have stood up and delivered some cracking highlights, perfect job, exactly what the people wanted.
Watching it live and seeing that sunrise over Mount Panorama at 0:50 made me want to put a visit of this race in my bucket list 🤯 Slim chances it would happen but who knows. Maybe someday.
The fact Picariello's unforced off (after an hour or so of epic car-to-car battling) is only at 30:50 in this 51min video is testament to how much action went on through the whole race. Fantastic highlights cut and some brilliant coverage and comms through the whole race. Cracking race.
This was a great edition of the Bathurst 12h. The insanity at the start, the crazy wrecks at skyline, Marciello's on-the-grass overtake, the different pit strategies in the final hours, and a rare Bathurst 1-2 for Team WRT with 2 racing brothers in the winning car!
I commented this on another video, but I'll post it here so the narrators know they're appreciated: it's awesome to see the commentary, especially in the first 2 minutes of this video. It's like you're in the conversation with them, and hearing them enjoying the battle right at the beginning of the race genuinely made my chuckle and put a smile on my face!
I saw the in race timer at 6 hours remaining, so I figured I was half way done with the video... nope, only 18 minutes in. There is some action to come still. Love this race so much.
Me, my cousin and my cousin's mate were shacked up between Reid and Sulman Park for 11 of the 12 hours and it was definitely the spot to be, that Aston sounded so good
I'm staring down the barrel of an iRacing commitment in a week or so. It'll be a cherry popper for me and I'm suitably terrified. This was an hour well spent.
10 seconds in: poink poink poink 3-wide pinball machine with 4th and 5th car drafting and leaping for turn 2. What a start! Epic shots. It's been amazing! Thanks Bathurst !
Honest to god, Supercars seriously need to consider turning the championship into gt3 format. Yes it’s not what we want but with the failure of gen 3 and what’s likely to come it’s the best route. The racing is far more interesting and all though it would stray from the traditional touring car format it’s the best route foward imo. I had low expectations for this race compared to past editions due to the size of the field but boy did it deliver
nah then it'll be DTM lite. gen3 cars race well we saw that in Melbourne and Adelaide last season for example. What supercars need to do is get a better tyre that allows the drivers to push instead of the fo endurance races they've tried to create with the current stuff.
@@nuztuz903 idk the racing last year I found to be boring, I love touring cars but I think it hasn’t been the same since gen 3 was introduced. I and a lot of people I know have lost interest
Guys, please move this away from Daytona like before. It's costing an iconic event by having such limited cars. This was an amazing race still but it can always be bigger and better!
The Habul and Grove crash was insane......... The insane thing was that Habul thought he could pass over the crest into the Esses.... thats insane. Any chance the world endurence championship could come down and do a 12h or 6h with the Hypercars and GT3???????
That’s super bogus you got sick. Is that the same car as from the European vacation movie? Oh, and did you wear the murder glasses into the catacombs? Can’t wait for what’s on the bench I wanna see this aqua net technique.
I appreciate you guys putting this together but may i suggest a shorter highlight package? Maybe around 10-20mins would be perfect. This vid is almost as long as some sprint races
Why the kerb on exit of turn 10, right before the skyline isnt flat? It's so damn dangerous, you get there at full throttle 4th/5th gear with all the weight of the car on those wheels. If you lose the rear there, you spin and crash at 200 kmh right with your nose on the wall.. I'd like to here some answers/opinions about it.
Motor racing is pathetic these days... no one respects anyone else... at least they often drive that way. The quality of racing driver these days is also far worse than it has ever been from the pint of view of COMMON FRIGGING SENSE.
This is a dang shame you show a 5 placed Porsche on this cover shot instead of the DOMINANT Winner BMW? Why? Your brand has that much control over who your marketshare audience is? People buy more BMW's than 911's on average! FYI...Palisades is gone get a new market!
Then you'd get the complainers about spoilers as they hadn't watched the race yet. Can't keep everyone happy all the time, but you can keep some people happy most of the time. Don't know about you, but the battle between the Porsche and the Ferrari was one of the "Highlights" of the race.
Whoever BoP'd this race failed. How was it allowed, in an endurance race, that 1 manufacturer has not only a speed adv, but also a fuel efficiency advantage? Those 2 things are all you need to dominate in an endurance race. Less time in pits = less time sitting still. It's simple math. The BMWs needed a power cut or a fuel cut. The race was great but once I did the math on their first fuel save, it was a foregone conclusion that they would be way out in front.
Found the person who didn’t bother to look at the lap time data. The two fastest laps of the race were done by Mostert (Ferrari) and Heinrich (Porsche). The BMWs are just far more consistent with their laps, their tire deg, their fuel mileage, their driver lineup and oh yeah, WRT is a metronomic well oiled machine. Cope harder.
BMW is not the only one that pitted late, Engel merc also pitted late, gotz and mostert pushed harder, that's why they run out of fuel early while bmw let ferrari passed to save fuel.
This is how you do an Enduro highlight video. Replays, pit stop narratives, incidents. 10/10 to teh production team.
Only 22 cars showed up and this race still delivered. Mount Panorama is and will always be a goated race track.
Couldn't agree more mate
I’m not even Australian and I say it’s THE goated track
@@toyotaecwbest track to watch live! Especially the v8 Supercars Bathurst 1000
Was worth the watch for Mostert and Lello’s passes alone.
why so few cars? i would've thought it would have a similar entry list for daytona. big track, long and famous tradiiton.
That is one lucky AMG to not have gone over that barrier
Loved it in person. What a day!
Congrats BMW WRT team.

WAY better than last year's 12h. Hope the Bathurst 1000 continues that trend.
Agree.

I was there this weekend, I urge you to come down for either the 12hr or the 1000. It's truly one of most amazing racetracks and experiences.
I recommend the 12 hour over the 1000 just because the 12 hour is a better race to watch
@@aaryanramesh7761 do t forget there's also the 6 hour in April, it's sports cars though if that matters.
Awesome guys, thanks! It takes WEC bloody ages to upload a measly 10 minute highlight video.
Ty for live streaming the race! Much appreciated!!
Thanks for uploading an extended highlights package. Much appreciated.

One of my absolute favorite racetracks in the world. I love watching everything on this track. Sitting in Chicago watching now.

Kinda, but we need bigger grids..

But Rolex 24 Hours race (IMSA) has more better than IndyCar

12 seconds into a 12 hour race, THATS a remarkable start!

Premier race of the year in Australia now. Forget the other rubbish.

Why were there fewer cars this year ?
Guys, please move this away from Daytona like before. It's costing an iconic event by having such limited cars. This was an amazing race still but it can always be bigger and better!
Barely any teams have ever come from Daytona. The issue is how many races are going on in Asia at this time of year.
It's not a Daytona thing, over 20 drivers did both. It's an economic thing. Plus the smaller grid didn't lead to worse racing.
Corvette racing/Pratt Miller racing punching the air right now 😂

What happened to the Lowndes car aside from the flat?
He hit the wall at the dipper which caused the flat and also lost drive. So he could get it back to the pits.

Wait, what happened with the first 8 minutes on the clock? Delayed start?
The time starts once they leave the grid and they always do two laps behind the Safety Car. That's just how it works at Bathurst.

BMW hiring "incidents" to enable perfectly timed pit stops
Its merc drivers fault, they drive like a lunatic.
