If this ever gets rebuilt, we will arrange a venue for it to do some Demo runs and make a proper Video Feature. This is a personal ALL TIME FAVOURITE of ours 🤌
I remember reading a series of episodes on CCC on this car and how it was taken as the blueprint for your next creation with all the lessons learned being applied.
I'm in love with that car!! Ive always been a fan of the boxy arched X pack fords, RS2000 and Capri etc as well as all the boxy arched group B rally cars and the wide arched Jaguar Broadspeed coupe (aka Steed's Jaguar from The New Avengers) Wow what a collection that would be. All i need is a lottery win............ !!!😭😭😭
The Alfa / Ferrari is a part of Rallying History. The precursor to the Peugeot/Cosworth with the 2.5 V6 as used by Opel in the DTM. Hopefully thIS Car will be restored to its former Glory.
I remember seeing photo's of this car, or one just like it, in a European car magazine back in the mid 80's. Very cool. I love it. Glad to see that it's an all Italian hot rod. I'd love to see it restored. Thank you.
Not just rally: Pretty ANY racing series ... AND everyday traffic out there!!!! I had fun following car development like every kid of the 80ies, but in the 2000s cars became ... powerful, pretty fast, often overengineered, some of them maybe quite perfect, but overall designed after 3-5 visual templates, soulless, boring, lacking character and barely worth remembering.
Was this car ever dark blue? I recall pushing a dark blue alfasud sprint with a ferrari mid/rear engine across the time control in a mid 1980's (1986?) Wyedean when it broke a halfshaft about 100m short of the stage finish. I was marshalling the time control and there were no spectators so it was just me and another marshal pushing but got it over the line to get a time recorded! Maybe it was red and my memory has faded!!
Thank you to the algorithm for bringing this to my attention, absolutely excellent.

I live just up the road from Andy Burton & remember the alfa & the Peugeot pug being tested around his fields, what a sound
What a trip down memory lane!! Great to see this again.
A huge promise, never realized. Please make that beauty live again!
Thank you!!!!
Spent too much of my youth lusting after that car.
Happy Days
Beautiful car and need to be restored
Remember seeing this car on the woodpecker stages rally , early 1990s , had an Alfasud Sprint 1.5 Veloce at time so of particular interest to me.
oh my goodness, I think this thing is beautiful in spirit and in flesh. Lucky bugger!! More on this car, PLEASE!!!
God that looks good, it needs to go to production ASAP!
That is unnaturally unexplainably gorgeous ❤ love it 😂
Fantastic creation
Andy Burton won the Wyedean more than once in this car , it was awesome, local rally to me I saw it in action many times
I am feeling quite ancient when you mention the age of the car. I remember magazine articles on this cars build, back when it was new!
It looks amazing, very menacing, would love to have seen it in action.

Andy Burton is an absolute legend in motorsport. I have very fond memories of his Peugeot cosworth roaring through the stages !
What an incredible pilot Andy was .
That thing is beautiful!
This V8 would sound amazing ❤🔥
Was it featured in an Car and Car conversions? I remember lusting after it back in the day

Remember watching that car on the Somerset stages bloody awesome
Beautiful
Un bellissimo mostro... di cui non ero a conoscenza
Grazie 👍
I wonder does he still have the MENTAL Peugeot Cosworth
Probably rotting under a stack of Potato's somewhere. Wow. Shocked he still has that bus sitting.
I'm told it still exists
I remember Car & Car Conversions magazine did a really good article on this car way back in about '88.
Good wash and polish ……👍

Absolute legend….
Seeing this car again… it’s like I’ve seen a ghost.
I remember seeing that for the first time at the 1985 or 86 RAC rally parked up near a service area. That was before the arches and spoilers.
I also remember seeing that Andy had made his own special cool car trailer to transport this car . Great to see this again.
I used to love to hear it coming through the forest of Dean 👍
It looks great (spec and looks). Restore!
I remember seeing this car (towed off stage!) at Builth Wells RallyFest in the early 1990s (approx 1991 to 1994). What year would this have been?
😎👍
So...i can put a Ferrari engine into my Sprint! 😊🎉 Not a worst idea 😂🎉

Wanted my dad to buy an alfa sprint from Roger Clarke porsche in Narborough Leicester. @1980 bought a Honda prelude instead. Lol.
Only in the UK 🙂
God I wish rally still allowed cool creations

Come and watch some comp safari events - space frame mid engine 350+hp 4wd cars
There’s still a few fun ones on a national level.
BELLA MACCHİNA
The Manta Hood is the special gag on this.
It looks a treat doesn't it 😍
