Beautiful!!! From experience, wait 2-3 years to finish the basement. Ideally you want to wait for the house to settle..you're going to slowly start to see lines on the walls etc. Finishing the basement could void your warranty as well. Check with Tarion or your Guarantee plan in Quebec! Happy decorating!! ❤️❤️

Hi Toni, I love your home so far, I am at the closet portion and when you said one of the globes of the light fixture broke my brain went into fix it mode. I just seen on tiktok that you can actually take a picture of the item you are looking for and search it on amazon and it will find you the exact replica or very similar item for a much cheaper price. I figured you would be able to purchase another fixture to replace the broken part and still have extras for another time if something happens again.

You can have custom baby gates made with the same material you built with. You may not need now but they are so nice to have especially if the dog gets brave. The gates can be removable with minimal latching.

You don’t have to paint them! In my last condo I didn’t and it looked great! I only painted them because there was only primer on my doors and it looked almost blue 😊
