Since you introduced us to Zen golf mechanics, I don't watch any other golf channels apart from yours. I pretty sure I'm addicted to Marcus's teachings!
You may have gotten into a few bad habits but since you had your lessons with Marcus, your swing has looked so much more natural and powerful. Love it!
Great follow up lesson Guys, especially for the numerous Golfers who are accustomed to playing with an open clubface and then wondering why we can't hit a draw. Closing the clubface and then swinging right is hard to grasp, but once the brain is reprogrammed it produces such a powerful draw!
“ Let’s twist again like you did in the UAE “. Great stuff Liam, working on something similar myself. Keep up your great work with GOLF MATES. Love it. 👍👍
I think that that your such a strong personality that your trying to tell Marcus that you’ve got it instead of letting him Gide you .it was just great to see you playing well in Dubai clear head and play like you can you know you have in yourself play well Liam we love it when you do golf mate 👍⛳️
@@GolfMates not a criticism just an observation just love the result after first lesson, just love the videos even more when you play like you can sorry ⛳️
Hi Liam, I was taught a drill to draw the ball. I put 2 golf balls in front of my golf ball I am hitting . One on the target line and one on the line I swing the golf club/head path and opposite behind the ball. Then swing though the golf club / head though the space or the "goal posts"(Reverse it if you want a fade.) * / * / * / * * You want to roll your hands over for the draw and don't let hands roll over for the fade. after a little training works like a charm
I've got the right swing path but like you I'm dragging through the swing with the face open so at best it pushes right, at worst it starts rights and then slices from there. Stronger grip is helping but I'm really fighting the club drag. Great stuff again, loving this golf channel as its real stuff for non golfers like us Liam 😉
Good show Liam and Marcus. Good to see you back for another session. Be patient. Stick with it. It takes time, and lots of correct repetitions to break the old habits.
Excellent video! Love the twist device to improve the rotation and the momentum that snaps on the follow thru. Great stuff.!! Keep up the good work Liam - you are our inspiration.
It's all about changing old habits and re-setting when you can feel they are getting off track again, I have had to do this in the past couple of years after my lessons that I have had, it feels awkward which is why we tend to go back to what we were doing, but it's a matter of sticking it out on the new feelings until they are part of your new swing. Keep it up mate and you will be hitting it like you were in UAE
I had my lesson with Marcus last October - experience is transformational and gets you working with what you have not bogging you down with traditional confusing teachings
Yet another great vlog Liam. At the moment I am working on my driving swing. Since returning to golf this part of my game is out of sink. This vlog has come out just at the right time. Cheers
Nice video Liam, hope you are getting the swing into gear. “Daniel Son” Gavins had a great 3rd round in Austria today, and is in solo 4th place with the final round tomorrow. C’mon Dan, we are all pulling for you!!
I’ve actually started raising my left heel off the ground in the backswing and slamming it down to commence the downswing in an effort to regain the correct momentum and it works fine which is what you were learning to feel on the balance board there Liam. Good luck - it will come back to you I’m sure 👍🏻
I have seen Zen golf before on your channel and also Robin Matthews-Williams channel .Once again get vlog to watch and teaches us that we need to have a reset in golf from time to time.
Liam, what a brilliant golf lesson video. Zen golf is a awesome way to swing the golf club and body together👍👍 Liam, Golf Mates I will need some Zen in my golf. It’s a sad day for golfers in Ontario Canada as we are now in a stay at home lockdown. All golf courses are now closed until May 20th. 😫😫😫🇨🇦
Nunnery Golf ... back to wearing old habits. Very brilliant of Marcus to point out what can trigger the return of old swing movements. Be interesting how you can look at Chorlton with the freshness of new course, so it keeps the freedom feel. Might have to invest in GFRi from Zen. Although pretty sure your new bar can create some of those moments we witnessed in the video they may not be as effective for your golf swing. 😂👍
Really interesting. Could see rite away on the first discs how Marcus chest was rotating all the way thru to target and yours Liam was getting halfway so makes perfect sense ball gets pushed right and you feel like you need to 'force' the draw. I'd say I'm very similar. Really cool to see it like that. Thanks for sharing that buddy and best ó luck with it👍
Sometimes you need another set of eyes to see what you are doing wrong. Good instructional video Liam. Greetings from a fellow GolfMate from across the big pond.

Hi Chris hope you're well and don't mind me contacting you. I am just curious to see how the Zen experience is going for you how has the golf been since the lesson?
Looks like Zen golf is getting attention from a lot of golfers. Quite right too this guy makes a lot of sense, Metaphysics not just physics. I'd love to hear him on Moe Norman, and why his unique swing worked so well
The problem you have with trying to swing so much to the right is your sequence and going too early - because immediately you take away to the inside and then try to replicate that swing path through the ball but you end up going over the top - so a inside swing path on the take away becomes an out to in on the downswing. The exercise with the hoop - you need to try with a little loop to exaggerate - so take the club away to the outside and bring it back on the inside (a less exaggerated version of Matthew Wolff or even try his). So when your arms reach 45 degrees on the backswing try and have the club head outside your wrists ie further away or outside the line. If you turn too early the club head will be level with your wrists or even already behind at 45 deg which then becomes an over the top.
When the swing is off, first thing I look at is the grip, to see if the club is starting to move away from the base of the fingers of the lead hand (left) and starting to creep into the palm. Also, have to look at how the club is being held, perhaps a bit too strong or weak, due to distractions.
Great stuff Liam!!! I’m hooked on Zen golf since your first video with him. Did you build your own bang board yet? I figure you have extra timber from the shed build.
Liam I think you was chucking some good moves and the board's I think you could go on dancing on Ice ??🕺🕺 you and Mr Barlow? he's already got the moves with his scoopy whoopy? Another good veido learnt a lot from it thanks liam

@@GolfMates Liam, just an idea to support Daniel “Son” Gavins. Most Golfmates have an idea how much it costs to play on the European tour. I don’t know Daniels personal financial/sponsor situation but I’m sure any help would be appreciated. Even if we could purchase his Fennex apparel for the season. Could the Golfmates not help him by raising money to help with his costs for him to play & thus easing the financial burden on him & hopefully his golf would then flourish. Distance, I've somehow ended up in a position I cant swing anywhere near 100% usually about 80% without losing control. I'm a club, and a half shorter than I was when I started playing a few years ago, I appreciate people lose distance but I'm 26! 😂 I'm physically fitter and stronger now then when I started so can't fathom what the issue is within the swing. I've recorded myself but can't see any differences from the 80% swing to a full swing that would cause the issue

OK. WHy do you want to hit a draw shot? You get more accuracy with a fade ie the ball runs out more with a draw swing and lands more softly with a fade.
