I'm a noob here. This is a damn awesome video. So I just want to confirm that the MC-202 is just sending out sequencer information to your eurorack only? It isn't adding extra VCO's, etc. that are found in those modules? In other words it playing on the mc-202 and its triggering that other equipment at the same time?
tracer690 hey thanks for checking this out! So the 202 has two sequencer tracks. The internal 202 voice plays one of those sequencer tracks. You can flip between which sequencer track the 202 plays with its internal voice. On the back of the 202 there are cv and gate outputs for both sequencer tracks, I've plugged one sequencer track into the elements module and the other track into the DPO. The DPO and 202 voice are playing the sustained bass notes together. And the elements is the melodic line on top. Hope that answers your question, if not let me know :)

Which is why people install mods to bypass this. I'll try and do a video demonstrating that soon too cause I was curious about that. :D
I've used a MIDI -> CV (Paia 9700) to send sequences to the MC-202, and it works fine if you just want to send notes. Portamento seems to not carry through. Using the same module (9700) I was able to put it into a mode that sends start/stop and a tempo pulse, which will allow me to create sequences in the 202 and play them in time with my other machines. It was a game changer.
I'll have to maybe try this with Yarns as a MIDI to CV convertor which is what i've got, I'm borrowing the 202 again and keen to try that out. Thanks for the tip :D
I somehow never knew the MC-202 could send out 2 separate tracks and now I need one even more. It is the best thing Roland ever made in my opinion.
I mean, I have one and I sweat the shit out of it, but best thing Roland made? I dunno, I would love a Jupiter 4 or SH5 or VP330 or Promars....

I dont have any modular, except the mother 32. I hope I can get something going on the 202 with a kenton converter.
