I love this song , it reminds me of my deceased wife a tragic tale , gritty , raw & real . This is song like an aged wine it rings true after living a long life and its bitter & sweet at the same time . The power is not there in the voice but the maturity is & it enhances the original song 50 years ago , it's like light at the end of the tunnel , thanks Joan for all the memories .
I agree with everyone in these comments and I listened to Joan in the 70s...I was young and took things for granted....today I humbly listen again and feel the depth of the words and cords of this amazing artist...then and now even more relevant. Thank you Joan and all my bros and sister's...love&peace☆♡♡☆
The greatest folk singer, activist, talented lady of the 20th Century. Worked with Amnesty International, a brilliant artist and yes her love for Bob Dylan always was a painful memory.
Each time I catch a glimpse of these old-time musicians in their later years performing, I am reminded of how it all catches up to each and every one of us....age! Joan's eyes, her countenance, seems to me unsure; tired, almost desperate, though I also see some confidence here and there while she sings....and then near the very end where she lets out a smile, puts some humor out. She reassured me that she still has it in her which the audience also picked-up on and let her know. So very nice to see and hear this video, my first time watching and hearing. There's hope! Thank you Joan!
It's an amazing thing to listen to her,she has this voice that says so much more than you can hear I guess, it's so incredible, she's mesmerizing, I just dig her

She is not properly appreciated for what she has contributed to music, popular culture, elevating women in the most positive way and a powerful sense of morality and ethics. Truly an inspiration. Her guitar playing is also vastly underated.
Thank yoooou for posting!!! I grew up around the corner from this theatre & spent many a night working there but could not make it to Joan, but this is the song I would have waited to hear=D
There shall never be another absolute iconic beautiful womans voice and guitar. Thank you Jesus for blessing us with her music. Peace of Jesus Christ be with us all.
I fist heard Joan when I was 14, 60 years later, numerous concerts, although she has now officially retired from singing, she still Carrie’s on with her anti war messages and is a brilliant artist. Her latest of President Zalensy is astonishing
42awww You are correct, and don't forget, she introduced him to HER audience, MUCH larger audience than he had amassed at the time. Rock history, but both LEGENDS I saw her 6 yrs ago, front row, the voice coming out of that tiny woman blew me away. I always loved het, but of course was drawn to Dylan, until I actually saw her, she is AMAZING. The voice has took on the years. the range is limited, but I actually prefer the lower register.

This song just breaks my heart every time I hear...from the first time I heard it in 1975. So raw and honest...💜🌻

Thank yoooou for posting!!! I grew up around the corner from this theatre & spent many a night working there but could not make it to Joan, but this is the song I would have waited to hear=D
The cover by Blackmore's Night is amazing. But still... this is how it was supposed to be sung. This is beyond words.
Sin duda la mejor canción de todos los tiempos, nos retrae a nuestros amores de juventud, una obra maestra que no pasara de moda nunca, gracias Joan
What a staunch character - 40 years later not to sound nostalgic but up to date
Calling from a booth in the midwest...beautiful
Diese Frau wird immer schöner, je älter sie wird. Sie ist ein durch und durch authentischer Mensch.
Beautiful as always - love you Joan

If it were not for joan, it is my humble belief we wouldn't have Dylan, at least not the same way. She is lovely
42awww You are correct, and don't forget, she introduced him to HER audience, MUCH larger audience than he had amassed at the time. Rock history, but both LEGENDS

Ok, thank you. He only wrote judas [without the priest] and I did not get the meaning.
Let us enjoy this great song
❤️
All try always just we do
Sorry to say, But judas did a cover of HER song. She wrote it.
He was saying it's her song, Judas Priest made a cover, not the other way round.
JB=soulmate of BD
This song never gets old, and she's added some subtle changes. Not quite the original but great nonetheless. I'll take the diamonds too.
No problem, have a nice week.
nice ending:))
Yes! The last remark is a mature woman's input..not mean..honesty
