The singer wrote this song to honor the parents who gave their life for their son, she also adopted the orphaned. She actually called Dimash the day he was performing this song on a Chinese TV show called The Singer and rooted for him. Dimash was sick during that performance and his throat was in a lot of pain, but he was able to bring out the emotions. If you compare it to this one you can tell how much healthier his vocals sound here.
Dimash was more than sick, he had laryngitis! Its amazing that he sounded as good as he did. Even on his worst day he's better than many top tier singers.

@@despicable6545 No problem dear, I understand. Although, he does get sick quite a bit. He was sick at his London concert and didn't sound up to par. No doubt with all the travel he does and crowds he attracts. I'm always glad to see him wearing a mask and not touching anyone as much as possible. You can love your fans, but you don't want to ruin your throat for a few days either. Dimash is as perfectly technical as you can get, but as much as we think he's an alien surprise surprise he's a normal guy. :)

There are some lovely Dears that organise hotel etc, very good deals, and do it out of the kindness of their hearts. It just depends where he is performing and where you are from in relation to visas. Getting concert tickets is an easy process I found. Where are you based Dear? 👍😘

"Daybreak" is one that she wrote that is based on a true story about a cable car accident. At the moment that a cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old survived, while the parents both died. Han later adopted the child. She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six. Seeing Dimash raise his hand at the end always brings tears to my eyes.
No, Dimash did not compose or write this song. He was 10 years old when this song was made by a singer named Han Hong. This was the first Chinese song that Dimash ever heard and it impacted him greatly. You guys should probably listen to this song again (on your own time, of course) with lyrics so you truly understand what the song is about. You can feel the emotions that Dimash wants to convey for sure, but there is no context if one doesn't know what the lyrics say.

Agree!Unfortunately his BG label in China only promotes him in China since its a closed society so that doesn't help him at all.Hopefully he gets away from Chinese influence and goes to a Western label where they will promote him more to the world and not just in China.
They don't have access to almost any western media except thru VPN and usually only people that have money or influence can afford it,thats why there are so FEW comments written in Chinese on his songs since they don't have access...
Thanks guys, you bring up a good point, why is he not more well known. I think part of the problem is the way Americans consume music and the corporate machines behind US artists. Dimash does not fit into a neat box, girl pop, nope, boy band, nope, hop hop, nope, etc. We have to remember that he is popular in the largest country in the world, 1.2 billion Chinese potential fans and he doesn't really need the US market. Look back at the 50's and 60's, the only way to hear new music was either on radio or TV (Hit Parade in the 50's) and all the music shows i n the 60's that featured new bands. That drove a lot of what we listened to back then. Today you don't see that same environment. Now we have Spotify, iTune, etc. and radio is controlled for the most part by one company (may they suffer in hell forever) and it's all Top 40 pop. There's basically no place where he fits. YT is the place that I found him through reactions and without these reactions it's likely that I would never have found him. My hope is that someone for the late night shows knows about him and his upcoming performance in Dec. and books him one of the shows.

Dimash is working on his English . It's a big disadvantage for an artist from countries that don't learn english at school as they have a very steep uphill battle if they want to make it big outside their own part of the world. They also have their own special kind of music that has a hard time to get popular in the western world. If Dimash gets his english to a near flawless level there is absolutly nothing that can stop him from making it big and become a global superstar.

Han Hong has written a number of popular songs for other singers. "Daybreak" is one that she wrote that is based on a true story about a cable car accident. At the moment that a cable car fell and crashed, the father tried his best to hold his son high. The two-year-old survived, while the parents both died. Han later adopted the child. She said she feels empathy with the boy, more than others, since she herself lost her father at the age of six. Seeing Dimash raise his hand at the end always brings tears to my eyes.

No, Dimash did not compose or write this song. He was 10 years old when this song was made by a singer named Han Hong. This was the first Chinese song that Dimash ever heard and it impacted him greatly. You guys should probably listen to this song again (on your own time, of course) with lyrics so you truly understand what the song is about. You can feel the emotions that Dimash wants to convey for sure, but there is no context if one doesn't know what the lyrics say.

Before they did, the dad put his son on his shoulders and pushed him to safety. The person who wrote and performed this song ended up adopting the child.

Agree!Unfortunately his BG label in China only promotes him in China since its a closed society so that doesn't help him at all.Hopefully he gets away from Chinese influence and goes to a Western label where they will promote him more to the world and not just in China.
They don't have access to almost any western media except thru VPN and usually only people that have money or influence can afford it,thats why there are so FEW comments written in Chinese on his songs since they don't have access...

Thanks guys, you bring up a good point, why is he not more well known. I think part of the problem is the way Americans consume music and the corporate machines behind US artists. Dimash does not fit into a neat box, girl pop, nope, boy band, nope, hop hop, nope, etc. We have to remember that he is popular in the largest country in the world, 1.2 billion Chinese potential fans and he doesn't really need the US market. Look back at the 50's and 60's, the only way to hear new music was either on radio or TV (Hit Parade in the 50's) and all the music shows i n the 60's that featured new bands. That drove a lot of what we listened to back then. Today you don't see that same environment. Now we have Spotify, iTune, etc. and radio is controlled for the most part by one company (may they suffer in hell forever) and it's all Top 40 pop. There's basically no place where he fits. YT is the place that I found him through reactions and without these reactions it's likely that I would never have found him. My hope is that someone for the late night shows knows about him and his upcoming performance in Dec. and books him one of the shows.

Dimash is working on his English . It's a big disadvantage for an artist from countries that don't learn english at school as they have a very steep uphill battle if they want to make it big outside their own part of the world. They also have their own special kind of music that has a hard time to get popular in the western world. If Dimash gets his english to a near flawless level there is absolutly nothing that can stop him from making it big and become a global superstar.
