Rob Mac is motorcycle royalty. TT racer, 500gp rider, BSB team manager, this boy's done it all. Fierce competitor on track, great bloke off it. Legend 👌😎👍
Thanks lads another great one and we must have a part 3/4 given Robs career. Being an old boy I remember Rob racing and I think the only downside for him given his abilities was racing at a time when so many other riders had a much bigger public profile.
I was too young and thick to appreciate all intricacies going on behind the scene for our British talent favouring the American gods...........but this puts it all into perspective, great hear what the real Lawson was like rather that the guy that we thought he was. "The fat ginger kid" did well, he did amazingly well. He deserves every bit of it. Thanks for that journey.
Just dropped on this, great pod cast that 👍 Happy days, 500cc two strokes rule, my first GP KS won at Donnington on the Pepsi Suzuki which is the best looking bike of all time for me, hooked ever since. And then theres the IOM, love a blast over that mountain. Sports bikes forever ✊
Mate. That was spooky. Just before you mentioned how you were gonna make a lock stop ring I had exactly the same idea. Great minds etc.😂 That blade change on the saw looked like a right faff to do. I was expecting some sliced fingers. It's all coming on very nicely.
Foggy turned up on a shop supplied 888 and beat the factory, and set the longest held lap record of the TT . All those British guys had a harder time getting GP rides just like today
Glad he didn’t manage Hizzy as he gave up on him after a couple of bad results. Trying to belittle 4 times World Champion Foggys achievements just make him and Plater look petty and silly really. Other than that an interesting story and podcast thanks.
Please... I can know the exact point of the conversation where Rob and Steve they "belittle" Foggy ? It's not my controversy, but I'm Italian, and I don't understand the language perfectly. And maybe this: 35:15 Many thanks !
What an absolute class act that man is, my favourite bit was him relating his not going in for his pit stop, had me in bits, a true legend. Loved it.
What a top quality story teller. Rob MaC a gentleman. Cannot wait for his book. 👍🏼

That was awesome boys!! 100 percent ❤
What a great man Rob Mac is, I remember seeing him at Caldwell in the early 80’s, top man.
Brilliant insight into a clever and funny guy
Absolutely loved that. Brought back so many memories. Got to take him up on a part 3.

The best yet. More Rob McElnea please.

'Older' blokes with all the stories. Keep 'em coming lads!
I don’t go to that many short circuits races but I was there when James Whitham took out Rob Mac at Mallory Park.
Get him back! That was ace!!
Excellent interview thanks
Some memories in that one 👍

There should be 10k thumbs on this, c'mon guys, hit that like.
Met Rob at a motocross track in 84 North Somercotes I think. Unassuming gent, a real star.
Parts 1&2 very entertaining, seem to remember not knowing how to pronounce his name, thought they were 3 different people 😂🤣
Fantastic cheers
