Cool mod. I love all the references to Pelinal Whitestrake, the most famous elf killer in all of Tamriel who has a lot of lore and fan theories surrounding him and his real identity.
I LOVE this place. It does remind me of the Dawnguard Castle somewhat. For the most part I think the castle is just grand, the kitchen definitely needs some clutter, the blacksmith shop needed weapon racks and the general vender needs some shelving! I do agree with you though that the time and effort that has been put into this place makes clutter lots lower on the list!! The Skyrim hoarder in me was crying YES, to every room in the Vault and the Armory, oh my goodness, it’s the Armory of my dreams!!! It’s probably not on Xbox so I’ll go cry myself to sleep now!! Thank you Feb for such an amazing showcase!!
Well, glade for others to see why I love this castles armory. The room is ok, my knights are all stuck in the inn lol must be having a drinking contest. Either that or i might need a npc tweak mod. Would love to see more updates to this. More character dialogue, and more cool management areas to add more things or deduct.
It feels a bit like a place where people are still in the process of moving in: most of the big furniture’s there, and some of the small stuff you carried with you, but lots of the little decor stuff has either not arrived yet, or just hasn’t been unpacked and put up. So perhaps they were just getting the bones done, and updates will add decor; like you said, this is an insane amount of work already, clutter was probly the last thing on their mind 😂 I really like all the unique armor/weapon/artifact storage.. most mods I’ve seen only cover a selection of things, but this looks like it has a spot for *everything*, and what decor there is is fab. I don’t like how spread out it all is tho, and how easy it is to get turned around (or lost completely; those little carriages are a concession to how lost you can get, I think). I think if it were more linear that would help a lot. Which applies to the whole place, not just the armory. That Arkay skill point thing is cool, though it almost feels a bit cheaty? Just go kill some draugr and level up your skills a whole point, on top of whatever xp you earned? Not bad for those of us who’ve played a zillion hours and just want to goof off a bit I guess, and this house/castle definitely wasn’t built with the beginner in mind, so I suppose that’s alright. I use a mod called Ring of Peace, if you put on this ring it disables all aggro in people/creatures/animals around you, so I’m definitely not anti-cheaty mods lol It’s an incredible amount of work, and I’m super impressed, but I don’t think it’s a home I’d use. Gorgeous, but too confusing. However, if there are any stellar mod authors out there reading this, I do have ideas for a fancy linear home that could contain a similar amount of items without being so twisty, feel free to hit me up 😂
Hi Feb!! Huge place, I know that I would get lost every single time that I would want to find somewhere in particular. So, having those little fast travel clickies would be a necessity for me. I think a wonderful job was done with the place and covers just about everything that you would want in a castle/keep. But, you know, I really prefer slightly smaller places myself. I am sure many people will fall in love with it. For myself, I would love to see what you would design!!! Lots of luv hun!
Looks ideal for Sir Aethelstane, my Breton knight. Savior of the realms, Knight of the Rose, the Sword and the Crown. Protector of women any- and everywhere. Nonchalant avatar of chivalry. And ... eh... usually penniless. Which explains why there is no clutter. He sold it all. Sir Aethelstane doeseth wonder, why there is a chain to open the portcullis from the outside... But, shall gracefully ignore that smallish design error of this beautiful burg.
Not sure what happened to my first comment I was about to edit it then I couldn't find it lol anyway I just wanted to thank you for showing us this mod because I found something that's almost the same mod on my Xbox just with more decorations and I just wanted to thank you for showing this mod so I ended up looking for it and found something just as nice so thanks
I knew it was only a matter of time before you got lost in there! And yes, it is too empty in there. I would've expected the vendors to have stock on display, instead of empty stores! Still a great video Feb!
As a matter of fact, I totally got lost in there. I can only remember the master bedroom. Which is on the first floor to the left of the entrance. It's a good thing I have PVAS along with It's just SMIM, so I know the door it is for my room.
Oh my slaying, stealing Skyrim heart would have a field day filling this place….. specially, in the bling bling dragon room😂😂😂😂. The potential with this mod is limitless.
Wow, it’s so big. Needs more furnishings and bits and pieces. Rugs and tapestries are beautiful! Love the armory! Very interesting! That travel thing is a must in there. Getting lost is no fun. I have a hard enough time in caves and dungeons. Always getting lost!
the amount of love and faithfulness that goes into player home mods is absolutely phenomenal! do you know of a player home that's oriented towards blacksmith-type characters? Especially if the home itself is situated in a mine or near some rich ores. Eagle's Nest is one of them, but I'm looking for a others too. thanks!
I can't think of any specifically but the first one that popped to mind was this one:- www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/8472 - it also has a really nice house and a settlement and a mine!
Reminds me of a castle from Cyradiil. The statue of Queen Alessia, the human woman who started the rebellion against the High Elves, and freed the human slaves.
Oh Feb, have you done the citadel- ayleid citadel by skyrimlazz??? That one is uber top of home mods, valkyriehomes by pitner is great but well - I just had to ask if you have done a vid on it?
It is underdecorated but I give it a pass because it appears to be inspired by Knights of the Nine and a certain air of austerity and stoicism is expected. I'm impressed the mod author maintains the theme throughout and still manages to make the space fairly useful for regular gameplay. Great video as usual Feb.
Interesting choice in armor with the Pelinal look. I kinda like it! Shame it is AE only though, means i cannot use it on Skyrim VR. Oh... the curious statue is I believe supposed to be Alessia, as in the Alessian Empire, when Pelinal was around (first Era).

@@FebrithDarkstar to be honest Feb, I've attempted it myself and gave up 3 hours in with a shell of a house and a headache. Mad respect to those that can do it.

Okey it's a fantasy game but please never ivy inside of a home. there you have flowers and plants but never ivy, - okey rants over. _ damn nice mod. . LOL
That one feels a bit like oblivion town. Oh ofc it's the armour of the nine from oblivion, so clearly it's oblivion inspired mod. So my dear you needd to have a run in oblivion to just get a reminder on what is what and where, i see a lot of mods uses some of that way of looking from oblivion now a days, maybe from CC inspired mods . . . Well can't hurt to do a weeks run on oblivion - what i loved about it is the colour brightness and different colours in different cities. So much better then skyrim in colour usage. But the stonework in walls and such is more like on the dawnguard fort, besides it have the fort dawnguard basis but hugely expanded. The statue on roof at 11 min in it's the one from oblivion and it was saint something alyssia or whatever, i am sure someone wathcing can tell the correct name.
FWIW, 90% of Monty Python was poor. Once every two or three episodes they had a 5 minute skit that was bangers, and those are what get quoted. And a handful of silly stuff (like the Knights who say Ni) that were dumb but easy to repeat and remember. Lovely place, though. I love places that have their own custom banners and heraldry stuff. I don't really want to run around in armor with the thief guild sign on it. 🙂 Too much Starfield for me, though: I keep seeing the balconies that overlook the outside world and thinking "I could reach that with a boost pack."
Now unless ive missed read something or simply just stupid, it says in the description you can have your adopted kids there but it doesn't work for me😅😂
This is like looking at a massive painting hanging in the Louvre of a man or woman. He/she is a small centerpiece of the painting. But the problem is the artist left the background empty...void. So, while the castle itself is the massive centerpiece of the mod, its rather...empty...and boring inside. Frankly, the mod seems as if it wasn't completed. And the size of this castle, while impressive, will no doubt put off players, myself included. I am certainly not one to have to run a half mile from the front door to the forge and then to the enchantment/alchemy room and out the front door again.
This is huge, but to spread out, you know valkyrie manor or outpost is way better sinse it has it all but notso spread out, even the estate, and the one from skyrimlazz dwemer something not to far from ivarstead is better. Ofc this one is very good but to far spread out. Way big over top isn't better.

The decor- bedspreads, lace hanging, column thing outside are all straight from Oblivion, incl the Knights of the Nine armor
