    Always feels harder than it looks. Really nice presentation. For all levels too.

    Great stuff man! Real quick, I'm going to re-pr my back squat soon and right now it's at 370lb. My 90% would be 335lb. If I were to go for a 1RM from there, do you think a 50lb increase from there would be too much? Thanks man!

    Very useful! Assume the same principles apply to deadlifts?

    Fair play Fergus, you’ve a good bit left in the tank by the looks of it.

    If you plan on doing a PR how many days is best to rest the legs before the day of PR?

    • @beetraham
      @beetraham 2 місяці тому +1

      I'd guess it pretty much depends on what the preceding routines have been - i.e. having prepared for a competition 1RM list or just for a casual 1RM PR in the midst of a training season. In the latter case I'd keep min. of three (3) rest days - and on the other hand max (5) days rest - for the legs before any serious squat 1RM PR attempts. But for sure there might be different opinions out there - the approach has served well for me, whilst having 1RM PM around 220-230kg atm.

    Newby lifter question: how tight should the belt be ?

    • @ferguscrawley95
      @ferguscrawley95  2 роки тому

      Tight enough for you to brace into through breathing into your belly, best guess is you can fit 2 fingers (snugly) between belt and stomach when not braced.

    looking wonky there, your left side is 1 inch or so lower. Is this an imbalance somewhere? old injury? or just the camera angle?

    • @ferguscrawley95
      @ferguscrawley95  2 роки тому +1

      Camera angle I think! No Issue on top sets, so might just have been a tightness that opened up having got off the train + plane!
