This video is super motivating! I've already got a motivation bug in me right now and this is really inspiring. Would love to some day be a Certified Instructor. Just a white belt now but right now in my life that is my goal.
A great certification to have, especially if you have a dojo that only offers striking classes. With just a blue belt you are able to teach the 36 basic techinques of Gracie combatives. A great investment any way you look at it.
@TheSupernegern Hey your muscle mass depends on what age and shape you are in, how old are you? As long as you eat enough protein and overall calories, as long as lifting heavy weights a 2-3 times a week you wont lose any muscle...ive been doing jiu jitsu for over 3 months and lifting weights and have actually been able to gain a few pounds of muscle. Also, for your choke question, yes they will pass out before they die..and remeber the chocke isnt the only thing their are many other joint locks
Random off Topic question about BJJ: does somebody know a sweep that can be performed after the transition triangle into an armbar (when your opponent stands up from the armbar) ?
Could you briefly highlight 141, why it didn't go to the ground and what could've been done to get it there? .... thus enabling the incorporation of JJ. Overeem Lesnar
@TheSupernegern I don't know man, I don't live in the USA so I don't know any gyms. But always make sure you find more then 1 gym, get a trial lesson an pick the gym that you liked the most, sometimes a gym got a style that you wont like.
Notice hener and ryron's foot positioning while walking on the rope...The foot is turned out toward the pinky toe with every step, olymic gymnastics balance beam style son!
@TheSupernegern From personal experience i would like to give you a few more underrated but very important tips. 1. Drink a ton of water, if you are dehydrated you can lose up to 15% of your strength, thats a ton when lifting weights. Also make sure to have whey protein after your workout. Lastly, start BJJ. Its really fun and though your already in good shape i garuntee it will get you in better shape...you will gain muscular endurance and learn a very valuable self defense. Best Wishes :)
@TheSupernegern yea, i go to both jiu-jitsu and gym, you have to really pick which is more important to you though, like i go to the gym to help my jiu-jitsu
i am a fan. But i would also like to see your "struggle" your "goals" your "steps". Don't get this wrong, but i got the impression, that these videos get a little self-praising. This is no criticism just a way of feedback.
@k00lkane from what ive seen over the last 15 yrs training,hardly any bjj school outside the academy and miami and its affiliates teach self defense with strikes in every class and in sparring.If you dont do that its not self defense.
I know that smoking weed is definitely a huge no no for him, but I would really like to share a bong with this guy. Once or twice isn't gonna kill you Rener, what do you say???
i dont know how well he would do. jiu jitsu is a very important part of ufc, but so is striking, wich i dont think he practises enough in. if got in the ring with someone who was good at boxing and good at bjj, he would have a very large disadvantage only being good at bjj.
When's a. New season coming back. All the episodes are two years ago I noticed. They have been great. Would luv to see a new season.

The brown belt guy towards the end of the video spoke very well, great video all in all, i enjoyed it, thank you.
When I see people doing things like the blind guy trying to be an instructor, it really inspires me
Nice video! Is there going to be a Gracie breakdown from the last UFC!?
I got my cashflow together after Christmas and I will be starting the ICP in 2 weeks.
See you in July for the next ICP:)

I am really thankful this has nothing to do with the Insane Clown Posse. lol
@scarred10 Dude just cos you dont learn strikes it doesnt mean its not slef defense? The gracies dont teach strikes..
@bjapan96 i'd love to take her back :D
@GuruBreed Haha!

@bigrock123 Dave Chappelle? :)
@FedeC27 Nahh... He's too good for that. His techniques would have to be watered down.
I know that smoking weed is definitely a huge no no for him, but I would really like to share a bong with this guy. Once or twice isn't gonna kill you Rener, what do you say???
im not gonna lie, my black belt IS transferable to go kart racing
