first beginner slackline video that isn't made for morons. super helpful, the first tip about the locked knee is what was holding me back. 6th video i've watched on tips and the only one that wasn't just like 'use your arms to balance' and 'balance is important'

This is the best slackline balance tutorial on the web. Or for learning to balance on one leg period. No question. Thank you thank you. Beginners especially in anything should begin with what not to do rather than what to do. Although they are the same, expressed differently. Best to have DO NOT DO THIS mindset and rules in your head. Good teachers often show 1. Wrong way. 2. Right way. 3. Wrong way(s). Repeat

Great video thanks. Do you have a video with reasons for *why* to learn balancing on a slackline? I just discovered there's one not far from where I live and I have the opportunity to practice it, but I'm curious about what kind of benefits you've experienced from doing it, thanks

Where I live the trees all taper in around hip height, so I try to secure the Slackline at knee height but it slides up, so it’s too high to step over.

Sam, consider balancing on your left leg. You are always on your right leg...

Haha, you're totally right! My right leg is the one on which I'm more stable to explain things ^^ When doing tricks I'm trying to be less one-sided... But well, I still am one-sided unfurtunately...

Hi! Your foot should be straight on the line. However, there are slight differences in the anatomy of different people. And on every step you will have your foot position just slightly different. Over all I recommend to not concentrate too much on the exact foot position but rather concentrate on relaxing your toes to not grab the line with them.
