I'd almost got through the entire video wondering if this was still viable without the crucible item trees before I saw this comment with the updated PoB, thanks for updating it. Bleed bow snipe was one of my favourite builds from a year or two ago. Getting the timing right when sniping bosses was a lot of fun.
I appreciate you taking the time making this video. I’m new to the game and people have said that bleed bow use to be meta back in the day, and much of the intricacies have not changed. But with the advent of some of the options we have recently, a fresh guide about the build is awesome for me to reference.

For everyone wondering, I will be doing a updated 3.22 League Start Guide for this build, main changes to note are the new skills gems (not sure about values yet) and the removal of the crucible passive tree which means we use Split Arrow instead of Rain of Arrows. This video will still be relevant for the mid to end-game version of the build

Bleed bow gladiator was my very first build. I had never played poe before and it turned out to be that league's (Delerium) meta. Good times.
can't wait to see your 3.22 version.
Btw if you drop 1 cluster or some points and get the ailment avoidance cluster, with the jewel ancestral vision i belive, you can get ailment immune.

Will need to see the numbers on the gems to determine if worth using, from the top of my head I think Sadism could be decent but Volatility might be bit of a troll since our damage range is already really large with a Ryslathas, potentially could free up the belt slot, I'll be posting an update video for the Bleed Bow for 3.22 within the next week on how to league start and level with Bleed Bow

We are going into the realm where no mortals dare tread (but not sure if they stack, would be worth checking out for sure) Edit: Just checked, looks like you can't roll that mod on the helm :(

Pretty cool build! I haven't played bleed bow in many leagues and would love to try this.
Couple questions (1) do you think the clear would still feel good next league without crucible for rain of arrows give your bow 300% mod? (2) do you know if bleed stacks in a party? I always play with one other person in my group and we usually play the same build so we have to avoid ignite because it doesn't stack, but i wasn't sure if bleed did.
1) Clear would still feel fine even without the crucible bleed mod, might just take a bit more investment to reach same comfort levels. 2) Unsure, my assumption is both of you can apply a bleed but the stronger bleed overrides the weaker, so no it wouldn't work, similar to ignite, would need to fact check this
Hey, any thoughts on the upcoming League and doing a new POB for the build when the whole transfigured gems are revealed ? I am tempted to try a BleedBow built this league as a leagustarter and wasnt sure if the changes would impact it negatively so far.

Yep the build should be largely the same for the new league, the only major difference will be swapping Rain of Arrows to Split Arrow as the clearing skill

Do you think with the new league you will still use rain of arrows/split arrow or will you use TS for applying bleeds? (Will you be putting out an updated guide for 3.22?)
I think Split Arrow is still the way to go, much easier to scale and no need for proj speed.

any thoughts on using toxic rain instead of RoA ?
since the crucible tree removes the 60% convert and TR has higher base dmg effectivness / attack damage.
obv it has less clear but it has a slow component and hits twice, which should help with leech and on hit effects etc
Haven't tried it but am sure it's viable, I think once you hit enough bleed Dps you are about clear more than damage
I took an Elegant Hubris but the two nodes you showed on the left are not the same, how can I make sure the one I trade provides Geofri's End on the two left side nodes (where it's nrmally 30 int and dext)?
In Path of Building, there is in-built search engine for Timeless Jewels, you can use it to select where you want your Timeless Jewel to be and you can sort by Bleed DPS to find the best jewel in a Trade Search
what a nice build,im going for this 3.22 but i have a question, i did level a char to test this but for some reason i cant use puncture and snipe its eathier one of them, like they cant be in the same 6 limk for example and idk why honestly
When you equip a Snipe support to any Bow Skill gem, Snipe becomes the skill that triggers the actual Bow Skill (in this case puncture), when you hold down Snipe, a Puncture will begin channeling and then be shot out

Thank you for the comprehensive video, can I ask , how would one league start to build into this?
League start would involve split arrow and puncture +snipe as early as you can grab them, then go gladiator for the bleed explosion and challenger charges, keep upgrading your bow whenever you can with a higher phys one, a lion eyes glare is a good unique bow for early league/league start

I have a question, assuming the crucible trees are gone next league, would you still play this build and woud you play it with split arrow or roa?
I'll most likely make this my league starter next league if nothing drastic changes, I used split arrow for about 80% of this character and only switch to RoA after I got the crucible mod, I would play it either way Split Arrow or RoA depending on the league mechanic and what I'm doing (bosses vs mapping)
Hello, can you help please, what skill gems can I use instead of rain of arrows and split arrow? And is it build good for farming legion because I really want to farm it? I see crusible tree nod "25% chance for Bleeding inflicted with Cobra Lash or Venom Gyre to deal 100% more Damage" is bleeding usable with venom gyre?
I think Split Arrow with Awakened Chain on a Glad or a Champ with Bleed Explosions would farm Legion quite nicely, I have not looked into Cobra Lash or Venom Gyre, I'm not sure how well they scale since theyre not bow skills, you would have to go melee and the tree/build would look different
Is it possible to reach DOT cap withour the 300 more damage with bleeding? Looks so fun!
The 300% more damage with bleeding is for our clearing set-up, our Single Target setup reaches DoT cap without the Crucible Tree
I've built this and have had fun but I'm still on the gladiator tree and I cant figure out where you're getting endurance charges from...
My champ version doesn't generate endurance charges, on the glad version, you can go enduring cry or run a daresso defiance as a chest piece to generate endurance charges

I personally would change the leveling tree a bit. taking the dot multi nodes over chance to bleed on hit sucks early on.
I also like chance to flee support on my RoA untill you damage is good enough to kill packs that do not move.
It provides huge QoL and defense - really underrated
I haven't tried chance to flee on RoA but it sounds like an interesting idea! I leveled with split arrow mainly, didn't really notice the bleed chance since I had the glad ascendancy and a chance to bleed gem but tree could always be tweaked to fit player preference :)
hey jay i really like your passion about this build. i really could use some help since i lost almost all my motivation to play poe since my goal was to experience the end game ( at least to finish red map) but its just not working and i really don't know why even tho i spend soooo much for this build...
side information about me: i tried out poe 2 1/2 years ago as a deadeye bleed bow but didn't finish the campagne. i wanted to try poe again with a bb build and noticed that a glad would be the way to go. i used UmeChrono build guide and even tho a friend of mine donated like 100 divines to make this build work (i guess he saw that i choose a stupid league starter and wanted me to continue playing poe he wanted to help me out with currency) but it's still not working out for me. I have imo such good gear which i would never be able to farm by myself but still i cant progress even through red maps. that combined with the fact that i die that much and don't really progress level wise i lost all the motivation to play poe which makes me a bit sad because my goal was to experience the end game.
as a noob like me its really frustrating to be lucky enough to get a sugar daddy friend and be able to spend so much currency for this niche build and don't get it to work. it feels like there is no way to farm myself that much and be able to progress and the question arises if its even worth playing.
what i noticed comparing your guide to umechromo's guide is that you and other bb builds play with spell suppression but even with umechromo's build who has no spell suppression his effective hit pool reached 80k like yours where i am there with just 9k. sure i'm lacking damage when comparing my build to yours but i think the biggest thing that blocks me from progressing is the survivability.
could you please assist me on making my build work? i'm open to all feedback and will try out everything to get it to work.

Hey! I'm really happy you tried PoE and even went with a Bleed Bow build as one of your first builds, its definitely a bit more of a challenge to get going than other builds. I've had a look at your PoB and realized there's a lot of changes to the build that will need to be made, I was thinking that I could make it into a video to teach newer and even older players alike on how to build a good character. With your permission, I'd like to go over your build in that video and suggest the changes for your build from Passive Tree, Skill Gems and Gearing, if not, I'll be happy to just send over a revised PoB and give you some notes on how to improve the build :)

Its really good for the community to really learn about poe in order to really enjoy the game. It's really important to get enough knowledge that one can see what the problems are because if one doesn't see what the problems there is just frustrating instead of a goal and a challenge. Me and my friends who started poe with me all feel the same, we all are trying and spending so much time to researching, watching, getting to know third party tools in order to navigate and progress through poe but are still unsuccessful :(
We often feel that many of the guides and video's are made by veterans for veterans. Even guides for beginners are using language and concepts which are unknown to a beginner and are not explained. I guess so many things are very obvious to a veteran that they don't even realize that its not for a beginner^^

nice guide. hopefully they bump up the low end of bleed a bit because with those numbers it looks like running split arrow instead of the 300% more RoA would be pretty painful. Snipe gem single target seems plenty though without sacrificing gear which is a nice buff. manaforged is great as well
one thing i was considering for snipe was trying to fit some sort of temporary attack speed buff to pop before you start channeling, but im not sure what the best option there would be
In most of my videos/showcases, you'll see me using a Silver Flask with Increased Attack Speed on it, alternatively you can manually proc an Adrenaline before the fight starts with a corrupting fever set-up on a weapon swap, I prefer to have Adrenaline pop naturally during the fight when I need in case I need a sudden life boost
I'm running a similar setup but with split arrow and glad. Split arrow+chain feels eextremely good for map clearing and I run a puncture setup without snipe for general mapping (bout 12-14m puncture dps without snipe). It also means you can get a better bow since you dont need to worry about getting the roa crucible node (maim/extra quality/etc.).
just switch in snipe for pinnacle bosses and you gucchi (honestly dont really need it for that either. 36m dps is way overkill outside of ubers)

How do I get that specific timeless jewel? I bought on that looked exactly like yours but it gave minion and spell damage block nodes....
There's a timeless jewel search function on PoB that lets you filter for jewels that are best for your build, I might make video on it in future if ppl want a explanation on how it works but other PoE UA-camrs might have covered it already

Do you think the new physical mastery that gives 6% bleed dps per impale is good? With ROA its so easy to maintain max stacks or just manaforged frenzy with impale support
Haven't really looked into it, I think getting the impale chance is a bit annoying for the damage it gives, unless you're speccing into a hybrid impale and bleed based build (which I wouldn't recommend) don't think the mastery is worth it over other points you can get
@@JayTX so i run the build with totems, i love the taunt they provide so i can line up my puncture in peace. I have capped my dps on puncture. I was thinking of tossing impale support on a totem or mana arrow. Siege totems clear just fine for me in juiced maps. I switch to roa for blights

@@Vulgaels I think ultimately it comes down to your personal preference and playstyle, personally I never really got used to the totem playstyle so if I could automate my utility with mana-forged that was ideal, I like Rain of Arrows more than Split Arrow and it does more damage too so it was a no brainer for me (I run utility on my RoA for Uber fights i.e. Maim, Culling Strike)
Why not crimson dance and use snipe with rain of arrows for single target as well?
Wouldn't that be even more pinnacle boss dps and most likely easier to use as it's an AOE?
Potentially it would be higher dps, but that would mean multiple channels of snipe to achieve same dps, also puncture's bleed duration is much longer than RoA so you would need to constantly be stacking bleeds with crimson dance to get the full effect, I feel like Crimson Dance with RoA is definitely the way to go for Simulacrum waves and 100% deli maps but might make the uber fights a bit clunky having to manage both your bleed stacks and channeling snipe

Use the Timeless Jewel finder in Path of Building, its on the Passive Tree page at the bottom

Absolutely you can play this with Mageblood, it will skyrocket your speed and defenses, you'll lose out on some damage that Ryslatha's gives you but you can make up for it in your tree with more damage since you won't need to invest as much into defense :)

Yep timeless is the higher priority, you can grab the clusters if you want more damage, otherwise I'd save up for the Forbidden Jewels

Haven't theory-crafted a Deadeye but the damage will definitely be there, you will be trading off a lot of defenses however but you do get a lot of speed in return.

mbx's builds aren't necessarily bad but they are hard to follow sometimes due to his gearing choices, he might have some of the most powerful gear possible for a build on a character but that doesn't mean the build is balanced, you can spend a lot less and do a lot more most of the time with the same budget he gives to most of his builds, hes been around in the community forever and is a great content creator :)
I have around 50div. Can it clear all league and is deadeye doable? Too tired running new character 😢
I think for a Deadeye your damage will be fine with the Rupture Ascendancy and you'll be a speed demon too, but your defenses will take a big hit so you won't be anywhere near as tanky unless you invest heavily into damage conversion/divine flesh, the power of bleed is that once you cap out the DoT DPS cap, you can focus entirely on defense knowing you're doing the max damage possible. Deadeye your damage will be fine, just don't get hit as much as I do ;)

That'll be plenty to start off the build as the Gladiator Variant, when you save enough to buy the Forbidden Jewels for Gratuitous Violence, you can make the swap to Champion and pick up some clusters

@@cedric_v I started this character as my league-starter, you'll want to grab a good phys bow while leveling and keep trying to upgrade your bow with a higher phys roll whenever possible, I leveled with split arrow and puncture + snipe as soon as I could get them, I also recommend using a Lioneyes Glare as a early unique for a big dps upgrade

is there a pob with leveling skills/items or a budget pob with less expensive items?
I've only got the skill tree unfortunately for leveling, for budget wise the only important piece of gear is your bow which I would recommend a Lioneye's Glare as a budget unique to get the build rolling, all the other gear is very flexible since its rare and self-crafted, the only other unique would be a Ryslathas Coil which you can grab for pretty cheap too (even if its a bad roll it still boosts damage by a significant chunk)
For leveling, RoA or Split Arrows are both fine, and running a Puncture/Snipe set-up early helps a lot with single target, you'll also want to keep upgrading your bow whenever you can looking for a higher phys roll from rares you pick up, hope this helps :)

@@nilsgrundstrom8071 That crucible mod only really matters when youre doing end-game content like 100% Crucibles, Simulacrum, high-delirium maps, RoA by itself is still fine for general mapping, you'll just need to hit tanky rares/uniques with a puncture if you dont have the crucible mod
@@JayTX which farming strat / league mechanic would work best for this build i was personally thinking of blight since the explode from the gladiator Ascendancy alongside the aoe from rain of arrows would delete all of the blight monsters since they are so close to each other and so many of them. which farming strat did you use with this build?
@@nilsgrundstrom8071 Expedition and Logbooks early on, I considered doing Uber Blights too since the speed of your build won't matter, otherwise I started doing boss farming (The Formed, Uber Shaper)

I think the single-target will remain unchanged, your clear skill would probably be Split Arrow since you won't have the triple damage on Rain of Arrows without crucible

Nope, the Crucible Tree only made it so you could use Rain of Arrows as a clear skill, you would just use Split Arrow instead like normal, your main Single-Target is the Puncture/Snipe and that isn't affected by the Crucible Tree

I followed a bad guide... and thus I'm Gladiator lvl 74 with a skill tree similar to your champion version... That would cost me a lot to revert to your Glad tree (35 orbs). Is there a way for me to continue? :/ (playing SSF...:/)
If you dont have access to Haemophillia, your clear will feel very underwhelming (not sure if you found a pair in SSF), I would recommend trying to switch to glad for the Ascendancies since it'll feel like night and day, you can also get refunds through the act campaigns and you can convert chances --> scour --> regrets
@@JayTX I'm already Glad, did 2 labs. My concern is that my skill tree is very different from the one you recommend as a Glad. Mine looks actually like the one you recommend as a Champion.

I yoinked it for 1 Divine on Day 2 of the league, definitely daylight robbery :) but no cap. To get a fat bow now it'll cost between 15 to 30 divs depending on how high you want the pdps to be or you can roll it yourself

BLeed bow needs atleast 30-40 divs investment to clear T16 maps.
I played this as my league starter from Day 1, I was doing T16 maps on day 3 with a budget of around less than 10 divs, getting a good phys bow is the most important part, the rest of the choices are really affordable especially if you're starting with Gladiator
40 minute video without a a showcase of an actual uber boss fight is utter garbage.
