To overcome the storage issue, in one video I watched, she connected the marker to a refill cartridge of the same color. I thought that was really clever!
They look great but, and there is a big but, they are sooo expensive.. I'm not a lover of the chisel nib, but now and again i need one, so to purchase 128brush +128chisel = $1000, not sure what the duty will be to import to the UK. if you stay with the brush you have the phaf continually pairing up or adding adapters. I'm not normally too concerned about the cost of a particular art supply, but in this case its a deal breaker. Shame they really do look fantastic.

These definitely need to be good, they’re priced in a similar bracket to Copic Sketch. Reminds me of an alcoholic Molotow Sketcher regarding the functionality. Will have to give them a go.
Hullo Harry, I was blown away by this review! This is my third attempt to leave a comment, here’s hoping that it goes through! I am excited for the promise of these new technology alcohol markers! You have shown these markers to be quite wonderful. I am most excited about the handles and I believe that might be the way to go for quite a few artists too! I recently purchased the 320 Ohuhu Honolulu brush nib markers for my wife to have her own marker set! She liked them so much better than my Copic’s and since she received the set I have used the Ohuhu markers too, I believe that they are definitely a better deal than any Copic sets! I have even called them a Copic Killer! Now it looks like you have decided that you prefer this new OLO marker! I hope you keep us informed about these markers as you continue to create and use them to create your artworks! I am looking forward to an update video. Perhaps you can do a comparison video using the different marker papers? I have a lot of the Strathmore 400 marker pads from a canceled class that I was preparing for just before Covid slammed into everyone! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions about these new markers! I hope you start feeling better and figure out your meds. I know personally that it is very difficult to keep going when you have other factors complicating your art creation. Please take care, be safe and we will see you next video.
Thank you for such an in-depth review I’m now considering buying olo for my first marker set Copic is just way too expensive and I’ve just gotten into marker art and they look like fun. Thank you ❤
Thank you so much for the review! I really love alcohol markers and colored pencils too, it's also one of my absolute favorite media to use. I think it was due to me searching for reviews on alcohol markers and colored pencils years ago that I stumbled upon your channel, actually, and I've always been so happy every time you put a review up on anything because I love learning about everything to do with art supplies. You've helped me expand and dip my toe into lots of things, and also saved me money because I realized that maybe something's not for me. The OLO markers look amazing. I have about 100 Copic markers that I'd gotten over the years (I chose each individual color instead of buying a set), as well as a similar amount of Ohuhu from some smaller sets they put out. To be honest, because of the way Copic's been price-gouging, I haven't been buying more of their markers or inks in good while. That, and the fact that a few of my Copic markers have become either way too juicy (the ink gushes out) or way too dry. A few months ago I was feeling the urge to buy the biggest Ohuhu set (kept seeing the 320 set or however many, in various videos on UA-cam). I haven't bought them yet because I saw so many other brands coming out with new sets and such, and as with anything, I like to watch and see how they all compare and think about which one would be the right fit for me. (Plus I had a few watercolor and gouache colors to use!) Now OLO is in the mix, and for sure they're the most exciting to me. Especially because of what you said about the consistent ink flow! I was actually quite surprised to see that OLO is pretty readily available in various local art shops. Seems OLO's pushing distribution quite well. It's nice to know that the OLO paper provided for the swatches was really good. I do hope the company takes your suggestion of using it to create OLO brand sketchbooks seriously. It makes me think about the paper that some companies give for swatches and I'm always amazed when those tend not to be great, because it's odd to me that they wouldn't want to showcase their colors as best as possible -- and it's not just alcohol markers either, there are some watercolor sets that would come with a swatch card, where the paper just was not great for watercolor because it was full on paper pulp and would pill up or not show the full watercolor qualities of the pigments, and I always thought it was weird that the company didn't use 100% cotton in order to showcase their colors to the best they could be. Also, I just wanted to say, I'm really sorry to hear that you're in pain at the moment, more so than usual. It makes me sad to know you're hurting. I hope the meds work better, or you find a combination that works, and that you feel better soon. All the best.
I like the shape of the connectable handles - they seem very ergonomic and brush-like. Also that the nibs are readily available. I like my ShinHan Touch but the nibs are impossible to get here in the UK!
It would be really expensive to ship Olo markers to the UK too. I went to their website and put one item in the basket just so I could get a shipping calculation at the checkout. It's over $30, so that's a no go for me. Unfortunate, because these are the first set of markers that have made me genuinely trying consider instead of the Winsor & Newton Promarkers that I always use. I did Google and find one site that sold small 8 sets, but it has no ink replacements or open stock. Hopefully one day Olo will be retailed in the UK, because the price for what you get is pretty darn good.
I have been trying to watch videos for these markers for a while now so I was really pleased to see you had a review too. On their website OLO does have marker pads but they are sold out right now. Thanks for the review, I hope your meds are an improvement & you feel better soon.
You never know how cruel high end brands can be with their/our money. Stop giving away your hard earned money to billionaire corporations! A celebrity stylist admitted that many celebrities wear kislux products. This is neither new nor strange.

Definitely the BEST way to go with these brush + refill

Nice review Harry, I’ve been considering these markers. As I have no experience with markers this was very helpful. Take care.

@paigeme886 To make it easier for people to donate money to him obviously. I am not sure what use your comment has though. 🤷♀️

Absolutely love the artwork, although I’m partial to the minions. Thank you for the review and the very fun artwork.
so sorry to hear about your pain and issues with new meds at the moment - hope things get better for you very soon, Harry

Great Review. Your artwork is impeccable!
is there a chance that these pens may be more likely to leak if for example taken on a plane?
I have been trying to watch videos for these markers for a while now so I was really pleased to see you had a review too.

Thank you for the review. The cost is outrageous!
