Almost every track published by Jinjer is somewhere between great and excellent. "Vortex" is one of the most amazing tracks, especially for those of us with mental health struggles. It really hits the mark. The track is both therapeutic and transformative for me.
Great reaction as always , The first time I saw this video that shocked me in a great way is his she changes from harsh vocals to the beautiful sweet voice in a fraction of a second … no woman or man in earth does it better than Ratiana
Also his badass she is but also such a lovely girly girl at the end when she thanks the crowd with that beautiful smile .

I have a number of favorite bands and I tend to gravitate towards bands who speak to me on some level, usually these bands have female lead singers. Here are some of my favorite bands Jinjer of course at the top of my list, Ignea is another female lead Ukrainian band they have more of an exotic middle eastern metal vibe, Butcher Babies, Archenemy, The Warning, Épica.

Tatiana had dreadlocks, which I think she cut off in around 2014. In the “Sit, stay, roll over” video she still has them. By the “I speak astronomy” video she had a short bob and in the “Pisces” video it had grown longer. By the time of this video it was long again.
After that time you have to look at her tattoos. The more she has the later the performance.
Thank God she cut off those nasty ass dreads....they are so dirty and nasty...
She still had her dreads on September 7, 2015 (JINJER - When Two Empires Collide (Respublica 2015)), but had short hair similar to in the "I Speak Astronomy" video by October 10, 2015 (Jinjer - Sit stay roll over & when two empires collide (live in Kiev at MonteRay LS)).
@@hemlock399 - Yeah, definitely not 2014. She still had them even in their 2016 tour vlogs. There's one thing that has always confused me, though: in the "Just Another" OMV she already had short hair but the drummer was still Dmitry Kim. 🤔
@module79l28 We have a mystery here - she definitely has short hair in the October 2015 video.

Perennial, so good. My fav is still "Teacher Teacher". Jinjer uses so many different styles, so much more engaging.

Over the course in this column I’ve mentioned a fair number of artists: Floor Jansen of Nightwish (and the rest of the band), Jinjer, the wonderfully inventive band from Ukraine featuring their extraordinary singer Tatiana Schmaylyuk, Angelina Jordan, who is now signed to and working with Republic Records, and Cortney Hadwin, who seems to be lying a bit low these days. A couple of years ago I also mentioned and recommended Diana Ankudinova, the Russian prodigy.
There are many good singers, fewer great singers, and a very small number who are unique singers. Diana is a natural dramatic contralto. This is the lowest range for a female singer. She is also polyphonic. Roughly, this means that when she sings she often sounds like more than one person singing at once. As you can imagine, the combination is extraordinary. So too is her full range.
Diana is more akin to a force of nature. One of the most common descriptions of her performances is “shamanistic.” Some of this has to do with the remarkable timbre of her voice, some with the sheer intensity of her performing. In this she is closer to Floor Jansen. With both women you can see as well as hear the intensity, the emotion, contained with both the lyrics and the music. A duet between the two would be something magical.

This is probably my favourite Jinjer song and performance! I think you like them so I will suggest another band you will probably like, Spiritbox - they’re a Canadian band and their singer Courtney is quite similar to Tatiana but not the same. A good start would be Circle with me, it’s 😎
She has one of the most surprising current gutturals, over time you get used to the gutturals and you will like them more and more, in fact "floor" also makes gutturals, What happens is that "floor" is an extremely dynamic singer, she can sing you anything, If you want other jinjer suggestions, listen to these

You should listen to the song "Home Back" from them as it is their memories of the war that started in 2014 and has been going on for 10 years now and it doesn't start in 2022 when it was more on the media in the west.
You should check out another band they toured with in 2018 in Europe "Arch Enemy" it's a band that was created in the 90's and is a group from Sweden but which song then they are probably "handshake with hellvetet" which is a good song to begin with

Nice reaction!! If you like this style, I suggest you give a listen to Spiritbox. I think that you'd particularly appreciate one out of Circle with Me (the one take performance is exceptional), Jaded, Blessed Be or Rules of Nine, although all of their songs are worth listening to.

I love Perennial and this performance of it is so fantastic! I wasn't into metal as a kid, but I had a friend who lent me a tape (yes I'm that old) of Megadeth or Queensryche and it had an acoustic guitar song that sounded like either classical music or flamenco and I remember thinking the juxtaposition of that song in the middle of all these heavy metal songs was wonderful!
