- Welcome back! I'm Jessica and today we are starting week 3 of the Nona quilt along. This week we are cutting the fabric for our quilt.
This video walks you step-by-step in cutting out all of the fabric needed for the quilt.

My biggest challenge is color coordination. I usually ask a complete stranger in the fabric shop of their opinion on color choices and they are sweet to offer to help. I guess that is why I love scrappy quilts...you just throw it together😊😊. Thank you for this video..😊😊
You're welcome! Color coordination is tricky I think and takes time to get comfortable with it.
Jessica I just recently started watching you. I’m starting a quilt with lots of 21/2” squares. I always try my best lining them up. Because, I know if you’re off at first it only gets worse! I would sew, iron, pin which was hit and miss with the seams! So I noticed you sewing by feeling the seam together then iron the finished square! Wow it worked out so good and fast!!😊 Thanks so much for your help!! Love your channel!

Hi Jessica. Loved the tutorial. You give such clear instructions and I'm so glad you don't put music in the background. I have a problem when I cut long fabric cuts.I seem to veer off to the right with my rotary cutter. I use a 5 lb weight to help hold the ruler down but that doesn't seem to help with my cutting the fabric. lol Do you have any tips to help me and maybe others with this problem. I got three of your books last week from amazon and the Red and White Quilts 2 book that has your pattern in it. Love your designs.

Hello Jessica I am a beginner at quilting and I started watching your videos and I love them, but I cannot seem to find the charm pack that you are using to make this beautiful quilt. I want to do it just like you did it because I do not know how to match colors Thank you keep up the good work
You won't find this exact charm pack because it is older and the sell out. But it is designed by Lori Holt. She comes out with new fabric a few times a year and you'll be able to find other charm packs from her. Thanks!

It is called Prairie by Lori Holt.
Im concerned that the bottom edge is not straight. I line up at the front because I can see it better.

Yes, but I’m always not secure of cutting any fabrics🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
I think it's mostly practice. I'd try cutting one layer at a time, going slowly, and perhaps using a quilting ruler handle.
