Looks like a Clifford Essex Paragon model, English made from the 1920's or thereabouts, which is what Barney played for many years, though latterly he also used an Irish made Clareen, not sure which model. You will see Clifford Essex Paragons from time time to time on Ebay and some specialist banjo retailers on internet......they make good money, expect to pay from at least £1500 upwards

Nematoda he didn’t switch to a Clareen after his paragon he switched to a Dave Boyle banjo.
