I’m quite sure many famous guitarists can’t do what she did at the end with such precision. Her right hand technique is out of this world. I think intermediate students shouldn’t expect anything faster than 90 bpm.
huh? the study is for intermediate students. i think getting the dynamic to fluctuate in one measure no less is more demanding than raw speed which will come in time.
@@lunarlight3131 this piece is not for intermediate students this piece is for advanced I am learning classical for three years but I cant reach this speed yet
At the desired tempo, it sounds so beautiful. And I want to cry because I’m practicing it at snail speed and it sounds nothing like what it’s supposed to sound like.
I recommend you learning Mauro Giuliani- 'Allegro in A minor' before learning this one (if you have not succeeded by chance). It's much more easier (and sounds really cool) :)
The reversal of the P-I-M-A-M-I to P-A-M-I-M-A I a great way to train . With this you can start to remember your left hand positions a lot easier. My instructor at college ( 1971-1973), from Russia, showed me this approach also.
I have practiced variations of this and just to make sure I was getting it right I would occasionally get help from various music teachers who would reply, "I dont teach that"! It's a refreshing and helpful approach. You are truly inspiring.
Your playing is incredible, I have never done this piece justice but it is still one I play. Thanks for sharing your valuable time to give us older players a master class. I am not a master but I enjoy the Classical Guitar all my life since age 20. It's fun to get those arpeggio's perfect. This is what you do and I love to hear you play it!
Thank You! I am so very happy to have found your video. I played around with this Etude many years ago and was just getting good enough at it to really have fun with it. This will help me catch up after my years of not playing much at all.
I am a guitar student and am working on this song right now (it's called Study in E Minor in the book I have) and I play it about 3 times slower! It sounds really cool at that speed!
YES INDEED!!!! Thanks Gohar for opening my Eyes and Ears!!! I've been playing this piece about a year now, and never thought to reverse the order of the arpeggio sequence.. or even displace the time. The Giuliani studies has a couple of instances where the arpeggios are reversed. This is excellent for Right hand dexterity!!!! Hmmmm...take Etude 1 by Villa Lobos, reverse the arpeggio sequence? GOTTA TRY IT!!! Thanks a lot for such "ILLUMINATING INSIGHT"
The lesson is very good and great for arpeggios speed but the balance is a little off especially in the bass notes. Remember, the composer was a virtuoso cello player and played in one of beethoven symphony. Beethoven from listening to Giuliani guitar music said the guitar is a miniature orchestra. We have to look at the piece as a study in orchestration in voice balance and dynamic and the bass as a cello.
Very helpful-thank you! In addition to the righthand work, I am having trouble with loud squeaks in the LH in this piece. I am trying to lift up slightly during the upward shifts, but such a quick movement is needed, I'm not having much luck. Do you have any suggestions?

Arpeggio study is a MUST for all level of guitarists on daily basis and it is a basic foundation or elementary skill for all finger style playing including the acoustic guitarist can use and flamenco guitarists need this type of exercises. More difficult exercise for arpeggio is the different adjacent strings arpeggio..example ...play i on 4th string and m on 2nd string and a on 1st string...like Etude No. 1 by HV Lobos. it is for advance level of professional guitarists to practice up to speed.

how much time we need to learn this study completely
Hi, gohar, thank you so much for this. Do we need to accent the melody notes, or do all the notes be struck with the same accents?
what about practicing planting in this kind of arpeggio for practice?
I assume once you can play this etude at this speed, tremolo will easily be achieved as well?

You could just lift the fingers on the bass strings and not the ones on the first three strings.
gohar, who taught you how to play classical, or where did you study?
144. . . . ermm. . . that's fast. Thankfully it sounds better at 120!
she actually played it "allegro" somwhere between 130- 135. and that is the tempo Giuliani wrote this
@vihuelamig.... Agreed. Playing it fast like that has no feel, emotion, or musicality--- which is the overall goal of all pieces, and etudes.

why are some people calling this number 6?
probably cause they are using Eythor Thorlaksson score and it has that mistake

How many years before getting to half the speed? That 144 bpm.Faster than a sewing machine....It must be fake.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is too slow... try it just a bit faster please...
sirdanik 🤣
So faster
Diatonics rise in chords need dynamics change
Not a beginners lesson😎
Great speed, but not much musical emotion.
it´s an etude, the point is to work hard on the right hand
@@shiroumxm2052 Etudes are "also" used to practice musicality--- which is the overall goal.

Технически очень хорошо .
Но акценты расставлены неправильно и музыкально абсолютно бездарно.

Technically excellent, musically not great - far too fast - needs to be played so the individual arpeggios can be heard properly and interpreted.

the musical effect of this type of arpeggios only starts to show itself at around 112-120 bpm. It’s a special effect like tremolo.
stupified
Very good technically but really poor from melodic point of view .
Sounds like mechanical exercise but not as a music .
