- It has been a bit of a journey to return to the guitar and creating again. I want to thank everyone for your patience and support. This song means a lot to me, and I recorded it in one of my favorite places where Cherry and I spent a lot of time with Maple. I put my whole heart into working on this video, and I hope that it may provide you with some comfort ❤️

As someone who had to mourn a lost friend recently (my sister's doggo), it's tough. I'm absolutely faithless, but the thought of the rainbow bridge makes everything a bit warmer.

with almost every person that you meet and form a bond with, either they have to suffer your death at some point or you have to suffer theirs. but it would be silly to close yourself off and never make connections with other people because you fear that you might lose them someday.

My brother used to show me your videos and we named you as " guitarist who get attention with his cute dogs " He passed away last year on feb fighting through cancer and it took me awhile to take over his guitar and started practicing and suddenly i found your videos it makes me nostalgia every time i see your videos specially cherry and maple 💞.

I was crying like a baby when I learned of Maples passing. And - even though I'm four months late - today I cried again looking at Cherry as she seems to understand what her "job" in this world is right now.
It's good to see you again, Trench. Your music, your videos and your love for your pupper have been dearly missed.
Maple seems present in the atmosphere, the trees, the sky, and the wind and Cherry is absolutely aware of Maple's presence. I enjoyed the company of two brother cats who were incredibly close. They talked to each other in silence and sat side by side for years after their other family members passed. I think of them all everyday and know they are with me still and I with them. Cherry definitely is in sync with Maple still. Hope you get another dog soon to keep Cherry company.

The way Cherry girl looks up at Trench as he plays just tells me that she is the perfect pup to help him with the loss of Maple. Both pups are such good girls.
I lost my best friend of 16.5 years suddenly in my arms 3 months ago and it feels eternal💔 I cry every day, see her in my dreams and feel here in my home and the paths we once took together. Every car ride, song we sang, and minute that passes in time. Sugar was a gift only God could make and she shared His gift with the world. May the peace of God be with you and may you find joy in the love you once knew with your best fur-iend ❤ 🐶
It’s gonna get better but you’ll remember her forever. I am a suicide loss survivor and although it’s been two years and he was my friend.mentor and colleague of over 6 years, I still miss him.
Looking at random people who look like him - makes me think about him.
I am doing better now. I think about him. I still cry. But I know he’s with me forever.
And this is as good as it’s going to get. The memories have fainted and I don’t remember him as often I used to - but it feels really nice when the gush of memories comes rushing and places in my mind like a movie.

My cat just got diagnosed with inoperable large cell lymphoma and hypothyroidism. We are devastated. Please help us pray for Belly so her chemo works and we can then get her treatment for hypothyroidism. She’s the Baby Belly as we call her and is a fighter but only can do so much herself. We need prayers for our Belly! Please help us pray.

That's what makes these videos so incredibly endearing. The entire presentation. It would be very easy to make a similar video with a cute dog and a talented fingerstyle player. But it's that extra effort that gives these videos that magic.
The cinematography, subtle edits, crisp audio in a quiet background and cool locations. Even something as simple as a quick b role shot of the dog adds a lot.
That attention to detail gives it emotion. It's more art and less of just another nice UA-cam cover.
Also would like to note they are sitting in a Maple forest ❤ theres way more than whats on the surface
13th of Dec 2023, was talking to SOMEONE I love a week after the last day of college (7th Dec). I cried that day.
I rec. this song on guitar 10 days before the 13th of Dec for that Person.
It was the first Prelim Exam. Had a WHOLESOME Conversation and somehow plugged that I recorded 'Somewhere only we Know'.
Came back home and saw this, welled up with tears to see Acoustic Trench post after such a long time.

There's something so nostalgic yet sad too about the song, I can really feel your pain and tell you put your heart into it. I'm afraid I'm a newcomer to this channel, this is actually the first video I've watched, but I know what it's like to lose a beloved pet and I wish you and Cherry the best in spite of your grieving. Beautiful cover. Repose En Paix Maple. My own dog Arya passed away not too long ago. In fact, she died the day before this video came out. I still miss her, but I'm happy for all the times we had together. May Maple, Arya, and our other animal friends be resting and playing well in heaven.

This song hit really close to home for me. I lost my best 4 legged friend just over three years ago, November 30th was 3 years. This song made all the memories of him come flooding back to me all at once, and I started bawling. Thank you for sharing this wonderful, but in my eyes, sad, piece. This also reminded me of Maple’s escapades with you and all the beautiful music you played together, and then their passing. Never change, Trench. When my first dog, Lara, an eight-year german shepherd, died from cancer, I was listening to Hopes And Fears nonstop. Lara and this album are forever linked in my mind. I've been missing her every day for the past twelve years.
This channel lives deep in the hearts of a lot of people. We may not always be watching, but i know (at least for me), it's somewhere i return to. You offer me a melancholy and comfortable loud silence, where i get to enjoy the bond that comes with loving another creature. It's very small, but very big at the same time. I know you understand what you mean to us, and i think it's amazing that you're thinking of yourself first. I'm so glad to see you back, and i'm looking forward to the next. I don't normally comment but after watching this thing's came flooding back and I need to say thank you. I lost my dog to cancer in April 2021, in her last month's I bought a thumb piano to play for her and it very much helped her to relax and unwind. When I saw your saying goodbye video a few months later it brought back a lot of feelings and I cried my eyes out both for me and you. Seeing this video today brought back a lot of upset but also a lot of happiness, the nostalgia & warmth that comes through is all encompassing and the effort you've put in to this is clear to see and shows what Maple still means to you, and of course, Cherry is as adorable as ever. I'm happy to see you're healing, I know we've never met but I feel we've walked the same path at the same time. Your videos became a part of my grieving process, helping me realise that I need to grieve and though I'll never get over losing her I was able to carry on knowing she'll always live on in my heart and soul. Thank you for this, truly, from the bottom of my heart.
