@Daniel Freeman-Rayner Because the dicussion of belief is not appropriate in an environment like this. This comment section is so pure, we dont need to poison it with debates which god is the best. Lets just enjoy the music.
@Daniel Freeman-Rayner 'God Bless' is an idiom so widely used that it doesnt need to have religious connotations. Also, I feel like, asking which god he means is pretty much asking for a lengthy and heated debate about with god we should or shouldnt believe in, which, in my opinion, is really not necessary in this comment section. So, again, why does it matter which god he means?
@Daniel Freeman-Rayner I get that you want a debate of some sort. But I think that "God Bless" in this context should just be interpreted as "May luck/bliss/happiness/.. be upon you" and nothing religious. Many originally religious phrases have been adapted into language and lost their religious routes, e.g. "Oh my God", "Jesus!" (When sth really surprising happened) or "God Bless". Whether these terms really have religious meaning purely depend on the person who said them. Just imagine someone on the streets saying "Oh my god!" and then someone else asking "Which god do you mean exactly?". That would be rather confusing and unnecessary, pretty much like in this case.
He and Maple never forgot about us... they were just waiting for the time when we needed them the most to appear and make us forget about our worries..

So I wrote a song for Maple to the tune of Hallelujah, with heavy influence+some lines from the song itself and the Lmanburg version though I don't know if anyone will see it, but yeah here's the lyrics, sing it or anything y'all would like
I lost my dog - my best friend - Sam (named after Samwise Gamgee from The Lord of the Rings) four days ago due to a heart condition that he had. His health really deteriorated the last couple of months resulting in his lungs filling up with water to a point where he couldn't breath. Fortunately my mom made it to the vet somewhat in time, but he passed out when they arrived. The vet was able to give him some drugs which I sincerely hope eased his pain before he was put down a few minutes later. Unfortunately, even though I tried, I wasn't able to make it to the vet in time thus not being able to say my final goodbye. These last days have been really difficult; it breaks my heart that he was suffering so much (without even so much as making a sound) and that I was such a lousy friend not being by his side right there at the end when he needed me the most. Seeing this video makes me think of all the things we didn't get to see and to do together. But in some sense it also made me hopeful that he is some place where the setting is just as beautiful as in the video, where he is free from all the pain and suffering, doing all the things he enjoyed. At least I hope so. Thank you for your beautiful video. Edit: I am overwhelmed and deeply humbled by the messages each and everyone of you has left. I’m very grateful for everyone who has taken their time to comment and for all those who’ve shared their story. I usually I don’t comment on UA-cam, and my comment was in some sense trying to make sense of the situation. Getting all these comments really made my day.

So sad for you. I think that these beautifully tender videos featuring Maple (and Cherry in some) just seem to represent everything that dog lovers can relate to. And for those who have lost their "best friends", it's a bittersweet sight, isn't it? I hope that your broken heart is healing, that the pain is softening and that your memories of your beloved dog are accompanied with fewer tears and more smiles.
"Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass..." Goodbye, Maple. I hope we will all see you again some day.
This is probably the 4h time I've seen this incredibly moving and loving video. Today I woke up to the bitter sweet memory of my own beloved little dog Baby Girl, that we raised from a pup. She died many years ago, but the sting of her loss remains. She was and remains my heart. I too am a musician/fingerstylist for 33+ years now and understand the healing power of music only too well. Today I needed healing and hearing Leanard Cohen's Hallelujah played so beautifully and seeing Maple and her loving soul through her eyes helped that healing process continue on. I broke down and I am not ashamed to say I wept until I couldn't cry anymore. If there is a heaven for dogs and I believe there is, this would be it. Thank you Trench for your incredible healing and loving vision. Love you Maple. Peace. ❤
I still cry watching these videos of Maple over a year after her passing. Feelings of peace, joy and sadness wash over me. She was so special. I hope this is what heaven is like.
RIP maple.. sometimes when i'm watching this channel i thought... one day this dog will be passed away and it will make every one so sad... yes it is.. millions of people will remember maple forever.
The end clip of this video is perfection. Maple might be gone, but you know she'll always be following along with you, listening to every note you play. ♥
@@Paulo-c3n still the same thing, btw. Dogs can live as long as humans even if humans live a lot less longer. In any case, if I take this innocent sentiment and analyse it, this seemingly small change would be disastrous, from an evolutionary perspective as well as its effect on ecological and faunal balance.
This man is a legend. He has his adorable dog in his videos, he is extremely talented with his guitar and harp, and his cinematography skills are amazing.
I discovered this video last year and it made me very nostalgic. A few days ago the family dog died and watching this video again reminded me of him. After 20 years, fate decided that it was his time to leave. Very sick, without eating, lying in bed and crying in pain, that was no longer life for him. So it was time for him to go to rest. Thanks for everything my little friend. We miss you so much 😢

Why do I keep torturing myself, I just end up bawling. Miss you Maple and I didn't even know you Pup. But you were part of the drumming brother/sisterhood girlie...we miss you.
A man who loves his dog this much surely deserved to be loved by such a fur angel. Someone once told me dogs don’t go to heaven...if that’s true, I don’t want to go. I believe dogs are angels sent from heaven to teach us about love ❤️
There is one best place to bury a dog. One place that is best of all. If you bury him/her in this spot, the secret of which you must already have, she will come to you when you call-come to you over the grim, dim frontiers of death, and down the well-remembered path, and to your side again. And though you call a dozen living dogs to heel they should not growl at him/her, nor resent him/her coming, for he/she is yours and she/he belongs there. People may scoff at you, who see no lightest blade of grass bent by his/her footfall, who hear no whimper pitched too fine for mere audition, people who may never really have had a dog. Smile at them then, for you shall know something that is hidden from them, and which is well worth the knowing. The one best place to bury a good dog is in the heart of his/her master. Ben Hur Lampman - Where to Bury A Dog
I've been watching all these videos all over again. For Maple. For the love and comfort she gave me and many others. Rest in love and peace, you little bundle of joy.
Two years since her last smile. I grown up with this powerful couple by my side in my hardest times. Oh, Maple, you gave me my greatest peaces, the calm I often used to need and all those tears, which I could not free without your presence and your easygoing eyes feeling those chords. Now you’re gone, we all miss you so much. Thank you for all these years, we do and we will miss your forever. I think Leonard Cohen composed for twenty years this tune just for you. Thank you both. Loving, until the end of times.
What you are looking at here is the richest man in the world. Music in his soul and a beautiful dog to share his love with. There really isn't much more than this.

Lyrics: I'd heard there was a secret chord That David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? Well, it goes like this The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya She tied you to the kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips, she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well baby, I've been here before I've seen this room and I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew ya And I've seen your flag on the marble arch And love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Well, maybe there's a God above But all I've ever learned from love Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya And it's not a cry that you hear at night It's not somebody who's seen the light It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah

Peace. ❤
Rest easy Maple. You will be dearly missed. You were the goodest girl.
Maple, you were a the most precious gift to the world
I still cry watching these videos of Maple over a year after her passing. Feelings of peace, joy and sadness wash over me. She was so special. I hope this is what heaven is like.
This video just triggered a very long, well deserved cry I desperately needed to let out. Thank you
same here
My tears are still falling too. The good kind.
same, dude. i have no clue how.
No matter how many times I watch it, I bawl like a baby. And actually feel lighter, cleansed whatever after.
Me too, May God comfort you!
the grief of loss is the sign of enduring love within us
RIP maple.. sometimes when i'm watching this channel i thought... one day this dog will be passed away and it will make every one so sad... yes it is.. millions of people will remember maple forever.
The end clip of this video is perfection. Maple might be gone, but you know she'll always be following along with you, listening to every note you play. ♥
How sweet...
I want to live in a world where dogs have the same lifespan as a human.
Me too 🐕
Be careful what you wish for, you know there's two ways to make that happen.
@@summushieremiasclarkson4700 *live as long as humans
@@Paulo-c3n still the same thing, btw. Dogs can live as long as humans even if humans live a lot less longer. In any case, if I take this innocent sentiment and analyse it, this seemingly small change would be disastrous, from an evolutionary perspective as well as its effect on ecological and faunal balance.
@@summushieremiasclarkson4700 eh. Most things in the wild don't die of old age anyway
It’s nice to know that regardless of who we are or where we are. We all come together for Maple ❤️ have a nice day everyone!
I'm so sorry for your loss....Maple was a true angel and we all loved her so much
This man is a legend.
We miss you so much 😢
He gave us the acoustics, not that we deserved... But the ones we needed.
R.I.P Maple 💔 You’ll be forever in our hearts.
Why do I keep torturing myself, I just end up bawling. Miss you Maple and I didn't even know you Pup. But you were part of the drumming brother/sisterhood girlie...we miss you.
Rest in peace little doggy. There was so many times you make me smile with your loving eyes and beautiful smile. I will always remember you Maple.
I now have to contend with a world without Maple in it. It sucks man. Im crying.
A man who loves his dog this much surely deserved to be loved by such a fur angel. Someone once told me dogs don’t go to heaven...if that’s true, I don’t want to go. I believe dogs are angels sent from heaven to teach us about love ❤️
Rest easy Maple... You did what dogs do best, and brought people joy, millions of people in fact. You, like all dogs, are magic. Good girl!

I've been watching all these videos all over again. For Maple. For the love and comfort she gave me and many others. Rest in love and peace, you little bundle of joy.
The cinematography, the music, the feel, the soul... Took me to a different dimension 🙏
This song always makes me cry
What you are looking at here is the richest man in the world. Music in his soul and a beautiful dog to share his love with. There really isn't much more than this.
Rest easy maple. We miss you so much. Thank you for all the smile that you gave us.

Let us smile in the honour of a beautiful dog, I.e. Maple.
Lyrics:
I'd heard there was a secret chord
That David played and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
Well, it goes like this
The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall, the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
She tied you to the kitchen chair
She broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips, she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well baby, I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Well, maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
thank you!!
Apparently he didn't play the full song, because the video ended before I could sing the last verse xD
