@@Lordy212 I’m agreeing with you my friend. I was say it would be fun if they made a multiplayer option for orlog in the Valhalla game I wasn’t talking about the physical game
As soon as I found out the game of Orlog was being made and released, I immediately raced to pre-order... I really wanted that beautiful deluxe edition but gahhh, it was sold out! Either way, I am happy I'll have my very own set. Awesome video showcasing the game, I enjoyed this very much!
Watched about half the video before losing interest. I don't see how this is a 'how to play' video if you're not going to explain how to play. You're just playing. You didn't even tell me what the objective of the game is, not to mention that I can't see what you're actually doing from all the way back here.
tell me about it i found fuck all day on youtube Tutorials in game was shite as well for info I had to teach myself and thank God I learned how to play I’ve got a 5-8 win streak I haven’t lost once now lol my strategy is block everything they throw at you and then attack and take lol
For future stuff you might want to do some overhead views because you were saying "as you can see.." and I couldn't see so it made it more difficult to understand what you were explaining
The rulebook and the way you play it don't seem to match. In the rulebook it's stated that the god's favor card is played and executed before resolving the dice. However you do it the other way round. Which should it be?
Question What if the tokens or life stone run out to give to an player? What rule should apply? Can you still activate the god favor card if nothing is to give?
How to play god: freya's plenty? It says roll additional dice this round. Manual says god card must play before resolution phase. We only have 12 dice in total. So how must i buy extra dices?
I think there is a pretty big problem with the game because you can't really use odin's sacrifice and sacrifice like 10 health counters because that would give you 50 god favor tokens and there are only 50 in the entire pack and there is another god favor that i dont remeber the name of which lets you add upp to 3 dices in the resolution phase but there are only 12 dices in the pack so you cant posibly use it
If you went with the Kickstarter you can opt for extra dice and tokens, it’s what I did as I use of on’s sacrifice a lot. Plus in the Kickstarter they gave out spare tokens and dice hopefully the final release has these spares as well.
quick question about a rule. I wanted to use baldrs invulberability to add helmets and shields just to get rid of tokens so my opponent couldnt steal it. I didnt roll any shield or helmets but i have enough tokens to get the effect so in my opinion i can just buy the effect but my opponent stormed off and said it isnt fair but it states nowhere that you cant do that. Can anyone please clarify who is right or what the official rules are about this.
The in game rule states that you add a shields and helmets for each shield or helmet you roll. I.e. you have 2x helmets and 1x shield and you use 6 tokens to add 2 per die so you end up with 6 helmets and 2 shields.
It's hard to understand where the game is here based on this tutorial. It feels very deterministic. Can I change my dice at all? It seems to be just keep whatever dice you have ed that are good. Just trying to understand.
You can roll your dice 3 times. The first time to start your turn and 2 other times if you're not satisfied with some of your dice. There are 5 different symbols on the dice : an arrow, an axe, a shield, a helmet and a hand. Some faces from the dice also have a golden outline. Whatever the symbol is, these give you tokens. The arrow and the axe allow you to target the other player's life points. They can be repelled respectively by the shield and the helmet. The hand allows you to steal some of the other player's tokens. When you have enough tokens, you can exchange them for God Favors. They have a variety of effects depending on which 3 you choose at the beginning of the game. It can go from targeting you opponent's health to enhancing the power of your dice and even affect the other player's game.
I really wanted to have an Örlög game at home, so I made one myself, wich was fun. xD One technical question: Do I choose my three god cards in the beginning or do I get them randomly?
You choose them! In the game and in the tabletop, you have more than three God Favor tokens so you have to choose which three you bring with you into the match!
She's actually in the forefront all the ads for the Kickstarter, which is why she's dressed up. As for the guy, he's representing the company/project, not Valhalla, and looks more genuine, which better pushes having people back a project. The also don't want to break character by having Freya speak. Makes sense to me!
I actually enjoyed orlog more than the fking game lol I can’t even get myself to play the game without just being bored out of my mind so far assassin creed with alexios and Alexandra is the best
Got my copy today and, apart from the lies about the bowls being Wooden (they're 100% plastic and not wooden as the Kickstarter assured us) and the rulebook being terrible (awfully explained rules and text so small we need to squint to read anything) it's an ok game.
That's exactly what we said. 2:16 we point put that shields are needed for the arrow attacks. If you're talking about the part of the video at 4:35, we accidentally say shield but if you look at the dice, they are helmet. At other points in the game, we also explain arrows vs shields and axes vs helmets.
It looks like a beautiful game but damn that box cover is a sin. Who the hell would want a video game character on their shelf like that. Pure cringe to pull that out to introduce someone new to the board game
Not to mention that it's the wrong character, they put the antagonist (Havi/Odin) instead of the protagonist (Eivor). It's so irrelevant to include a character at all. Orlog had nothing to do with any of the characters in Valhalla.
So, in this you take turns rolling. In the actual game it's your turn until you roll all 3 rolls or have all your dice out. Since you can't react in this phase taking rolling turns doesn't actually make sense lol
TAVERN EDITION should include a wooden box not cardboard, it should also include the Valhalla dice set, not everybody wants the glow-in-dark feature. For $250 a different box and valhalla dice set should've been included.
I like the inside of the box, it's very well organized. But I hate the front cover art for it... Instead of adding Odin/Havi on the left side, they should've added different game pieces instead. A more aesthetic look and style this way, clean and modern. Also, characters are irrelevant to Orlog. (At the very least, put Eivor, the actual female protagonist of the game, not her Antagonist... SMH) EDIT: I agree about the dice; the additional Valhalla dice set should've been included with the Tavern Edition. Can't believe they're charging $25 for the dice alone. It's DICE! As for the Glow In The Dark dice set, I found those utterly pointless, as probably no one will play Orlog in the dark, if ever.
I'm kinda behind in this comment, but it IS Eivor on the box cover, just the male; Havi is a male God, so you revert to generic male Eivor if you play as a female, but if you play as male, you stay the exact same (my Eivor is a male with black hair/beard and loaded with tattoos, so that's what Havi looks like). As for the box and dice, this is the box that was approved by Ubisoft and it can't be changed, while the excessive cost of the dice could be considered the cost of the exclusivity. No person outside of the Kickstarter will have them. I'm super excited 💕
This video is part of a our Kickstarter main video and was intended to be an introduction to the game. Have no fear, the game itself will come with full instructions!

This made me cringe the whole time, not the game, the dude. He made me cringe firstly because after saying freyja the first time, he then switches to just calling her Frey and it’s so annoying because that’s not Frey, that’s freyja her brothers name is Frey. And secondly, he didn’t even roll the dice, he just picked them up and dropped them. I’m also Norse pagan so I suppose it just got my nerve switching 🤣
We're particularly fond of Freyja, so we affectionately call her Frey, she has no issue with this. Also, for the sake of audio and your ears, we asked Dan to reduce the intensity of the dice rolls. We recommend you thicken your blood with some mead to settle your nerves ;) Hope you enjoy your Orlog!!
