I don't know why so many people are upset about the Tahr being the new great one. It was a species that has been requested highly in the past. It's different. With their natural variations in fur, the long, fluffy nature and diverse horns, there is potential for it to have various awesome looks (fur types/horn combos). The picture they showed I think was one of the more subtle great one furs, and I don't even think those were great one horns (they'll save all the great stuff for the official great one reveal stream). But I like it, it's kind of shaved, with a huge mane like a lion, battle scars, rough-around-the-edges just like some great, old, alpha, battle-scarred goat. I'm excited to see the other ones. Plus, if they do not have drink zones, it's going to be a heck of a challenging grind~
yeah remember when they wernt added to silver ridge peaks ! people went crazy. then it was said it wasnt possible and the team has made it possible and made them a new great one tahr. cant wait to hunt them.
@@Vladislav-mu1nz I did too. And it will happen I'm sure. There's likely still a lot of great ones in the future, and everyone is not always going to love every single one of them. But it is good that they mixed it up as well as finally branched out of only base-game great ones.
just glad theres another water buffalo map but they should definitely backfill the tahr to te awaroa since they had that tahr track on the map years ago
Thanks for sharing this. I'm just having an issue where all new animal species are level 1 only. And their weights are glitched - like they are showing as -44lbs to 35lbs. Not sure how an animal has a negative weight! Anyone else having issues?
I'd like to know if it can be mounted with a scope ... but if it's an elephant gun like the double rifle then it's likely not gonna get more than a red dot ...just another wall hanger !
Sir Jaxy said there would be no backfilling this update. So maybe in the future. Personally I have always been FOR backfilling but it tends to mess up existing maps. So I’d rather see new maps with said particular animals on that instead of backfilling. 😉👍
Sorry Ron the rifle does nothing for me. It's just a wall decoration for me. But they have lot of cool thing come. The great ones do nothing for me. I don't grind .

I like thoes older guns, even with no scope, it could be really fun hunting yak and the nilgai with it. Cant wait to try it out.

martini henry's are usually chambered in 577/450 (or 577 martini henry) which is a pretty big round so i wouldn't be surprised if its even 5-9.

yeah nice to have water buffalo on another map. id love tahr backfilled too as long as it doesnt effect other species.

Thinking of getting COTW already got way of the hunter but getting bored of it, are they similar to play and are they similar controls etc?
way of the hunter is more focused on realism call of the wild is more casual. depends what you like. i like both.

yeah the last species is not known. we know one of the two species to be announced is a goose.
