Big projects like this are a relief to finish but it's also like saying goodby to a dear friend after spending so many hours together. You both are very talented and skilled artists. Nice video, spread of engaging commentary and play by play tactile progress. And personally a big fan of the humour. Not that the video needs humour to be enjoyable, but you have fun with it, so there's little things to enjoy. Less Gunpla related it's adorable the way you check in and say 'are you okay', I think that's just simple and sweet.

    I've just finished my very first resin kit. It's a dress up kit for MG Geara Doga. To me the kit itself was simple enough but it drained off all of my patience. Then I see this Nightingale... better go to bed.
    P/S: Mr Hobby usually suggests that the pump's PSI should be 15, but most of Korean builders that I watch set the PSI >20. Personally I set PSI at ~22.

      @@frostedsnow yeah, I had coffee with a new friend who is also a gunpla builder, and he set PSI at 25 too. BTW, how can oversea builder like me buy Line Master chisels? I broke my BMC 0.15mm and I was so shock that I literally couldn't utter any sound.

    • @frostedsnow
      @frostedsnow  4 роки тому +1

      @@dykatran Not sure about Line Master... Kughee says it's not as smooth as BMC though, so I think any cheaper alternative would be okay. I haven't used it yet since we bought it so can't say exactly. He has! but it's not super common in Korean cafes yet. He had it at a very small cafe :)

    • @dykatran
      @dykatran 4 роки тому

      @@frostedsnow oh I see. I'm trying 0.15mm chisel from Taiwanese Madworks, feeling is good enough, it has the shape of Olfa's typical blade so the length is almost the same as BMC, to me this is an essential factor because it helps me feel comfortable enough, I did try a shorter chisel from Funtec but feel too awkward and couldn't engrave a smooth line. The price of Madworks chisel seems reasonable too, the handle costs about 20000 won, the chisel costs about 15400 won.

      Thanks so much Strike (just gonna call you that XD). Do you mean should you top coat before? or after? panel line and decals? You don't need to top coat before any detail work (unless you plan to weather and need an adhesive surface) though some ppl do cuz they are super sensitive and feel if their color paint is matte, panel line doesn't flow as well. You do need to top coat over water slides as they can fall off even with Mark Fit.

      There is never me gonna be an MG Jag'd Doga.l, as there is already an RE/100. I could see Nightingale getting an HGUC some day, but it could literally be a decade from now, especially with how few HGUC kits have been coming out lately (that aren't P-Bandai).

      @@RiskyBRiskyB I KNOW THIS, but am sad, along with many mecha fans... the RE Jagd Doga is actually pretty legit if you detail it. I got some 3rd party fx parts for the funnels and it looks badass with just panel lining and matte topcoat... just dissappointed in seeing nonsense designs get MG vs ICONIC designs left to rot in the Zeon 2nd class lol

    Hi just wondering, when you and Kughee airbrush, do you spray the paint (the colour paint, not primer) all in one go? or do a layer then leave to dry and spray again? In your videos it seems that yall spray in one go, but i believe that if you do that, you will cause pooling? Pls advice a noob :)
