Not really, Obito went against Rin’s wishes. Obito destroyed Konoha, despite Rin sacrifice to protect it and Obito didn’t become Hokage like Rin wanted him too. Rin would never agree with what Obito is doing and Obito knows it. The war was for peace because Obito doesn’t believe mankind will allow themselves to maintain peace, and Obito wants to be the one to lead mankind to salvation.

Phantomlord the hidden beast well they have chemistry unlike sakura and naruto and rin showed some type of affection to obito in the series even when obito was a child she supported her i don't see that type of support comming from sakura so no they are not the same
To all the people who think the war was started just because Rim died. He didn't do it just because Rin died, Sure Rin dying played a huge role in it, but you got to remember Obito never knew his parents like Naruto and unlike Sakura Rin was Obitos hope/light in his world the reason he wanted to live everyday. So when Rin died he lost his reason to continue living and since Madara planted the curse tag on Obito that didn't allow him to kill himself he couldn't just end it all. How would you feel if your childhood friend/crush/light and hope was killed in front of your eyes, you would probably feel like your in hell as Obito stated. From there he saw the world as a corrupt place that only has pain and suffering and he believed the only way to give everyone peace and himself peace was to start a new world, one where the people you love can be with you forever, which is why he didn't care when Minato and Kushina died because they were gonna be in his new world anyway.
