    *I love it **enjoyable.fishing** recommend I’m using it for my 1.0 Crankbaits and small Jerkbait. Paired with my Assassin. Works great, feels great. Would definitely recommend this setup.*

    Great episode. What did you replace the downrigger wire with? Braid? Are the what is the rod setup for the rods? Mono? Braid? For trolling with bait. What speed for trolling ballyhoo bait?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  2 роки тому

      Yes, braid rather than cable. Rods are rigged with 20 or 30 lb mono. Trolling speed varies but for rigged ballyhoo 4-5 knots. Please join my new streaming channel. 300+ instructional videos, no UA-cam ads, 24/7 fishing helpline. Please visit www.FSFTV.com now! - Capt Mike

    I just got a pair of cannon down riggers. I want to get rid of the wire they came with and put braid,any recommendations what pound braid is best. Thanks.

      Sorry for the late response, go with 130 lb or 150 lb. braid. You only need 100 yards on top of the wire so no need to fill the entire spool. Also, I have made a couple modifications to my Cannons. Call me and I will explain. 954.942.7261 - Capt Mike

    *We tried this out finally yesterday and it worked awesome! **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it’s we put it on our 16 foot aluminum boat and trolled with it. We didn’t catch anything but it was still fun and worked awesome! Can’t wait to use this baby again and hopefully reel in a big ole fish! Very easy to install and set up.*

    Did you have the downrigger reeled up right after the fish hit?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  7 років тому

      Yes we usually reel the down rigger up and out of the way once a fish is hooked. - Capt Mike

    What is the rod (type/length/rating)/reel/line combo that you are using for the live trolling?

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  10 років тому

      2020Veritas Chaos 7'0" KC 15-30. It is a composite rod rated for 15-30 lb line. We fish this rod when kite fishing, slow trolling, bottom fishing, etc. Great all around stick! - Capt Mike

      Look for big kings in 100-200 ft and wahoo from 100-300 ft. Live gigs and runners will get you hooked up! - Capt Mike

    My name is Patrick Bradley I am 13 years old and I was wondering what the best bait for dolphin is when trolling and what color skirt or chugger ect thank u for listing

    • @FloridaSportFishing
      @FloridaSportFishing  10 років тому

      Its hard to beat a rigged ballyhoo under an Illander type of lure. You can also pull various chuggers and small feathers. Pink, blue/white and orange/black are always productive colors. - Capt Mike

    • @williamseale
      @williamseale 8 років тому

      The color doesn't matter. It the fish are biting a dolphin will hit a piece of tree bark with a hook in it

    • @tomharrell1954
      @tomharrell1954 9 років тому

      Jason Luongo If you are looking for an all around. Try a spoon. Jig it. Troll it. Cast it. Put a piece of bait on it. The old time spoon will catch everything. They are cheep too.
