    Do you use cheek implants over fat transfer?

    Hi Dr Prasad,
    Thank you for your informative and thorough video. I see your response to a fellow viewer about injectables and their migration. I was wondering the same, but I see you said it’s about the placement, not the filler, that causes such an occurrence. My question is then if it doesn’t migrate and filler doesn’t dissolve why would you need to return in a year for more? Apologies if this comment sounds ignorant I’m just opposed to fillers because of a Kylie Jenner like pillow face that happens over time. I’m in my twenties so it’s a concern to see how it’d age on my face.
    Thank you!

      Hi Emily E,
      The reason why hyaluronic acid fillers are commonly used is because hyaluronic acid is naturally in the body, so they are safe to use. Natural hyaluronic acid is metabolized constantly by the body by natural hyaluronidase. Therefore, hyaluronic acid fillers are gradually and safely metabolized by the body, so they do need reapplication as the volume diminishes. If you want these fillers, or the stay longer than expected due to encapsulation preventing metabolization, then they are dissolved using injectable hyaluronidase. I hope this clarifies things for you.

      Hi Gloria Golemboski,
      Eating collagen doesn't necessarily mean you will produce more collagen. Your body synthesizes collagen from the various foods you eat, and treatments of controlled injury such as laser, microneedling, PRP, and surgery triggers the body's collagen response. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    I really didn't understand what you were saying about collagen powder or pills. Are you saying the body doesn't use it until it is necessary as through treatment or injury. Sorry?

      Hi Gloria Golemboski,Eating collagen does not mean you have more collagen in your body. Your body synthesizes its own collagen from all the food you eat. Your body produces collagen as it's used for injury and wound healing, but collagen is a protein also needed for skin and tissue health. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    How much filler did u use to add volume in her cheeks

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  5 років тому

      Hi Angela Rice,
      Amount of filler volume needed varies with patients, but we can add more filler using the Structural Volumizing/ Y Lift technique as the bone and muscle layer are far stronger holding filler volume than the dermis or the fat/soft tissue layer of traditional filler placement. I hope this clarifies things for you.

    don’t facial fillers migrate?

    • @AmiyaPrasadMD
      @AmiyaPrasadMD  4 роки тому +1

      Hi Anastasia Rose,
      The migration of facial fillers is due to the level of placement, and placement technique, not the filler itself. This video also features placement of filler at the bone level, and held in place by the muscle layer to prevent migration, and also for results to look more defined, structured, and natural. I hope this clarifies things for you.
