Awesome, over here we have everything covered! :D My precious little treasured indoor only earth angel just got spayed two days ago and she has been doing nothing but wanting to rest, sleep, and cuddle on my lap daily. She always has demanded that she sleeps on my lap from the very 4 days after we brought her home to live in her forever home. Now this home belongs to her as we are quite pleased with it! Im not saying everyone who owns an indoor pet should have this mentality, but for us me and my grown children we have a blast with this concept that our Queen Mango F5 Bengal 8-month-old kitten rules the universe hahaha. She is the size of a full-grown house cat already, so this will be exciting to see her size when she reaches a full year old in March. She has her cat tree dual kitty condo fully carpeted with several scratching post that runs up and down several of the poles and has platforms she can perch on and two huge sleep-in dens on two different layers where the platform reaches up to 74 inches in height. We have it parked next to the window so she can see out at different levels like you would on tree branches while it has two fun dangling toys to bat her paws at from two different layers on the cat tree condo. She has a huge litterbox that gets cleaned daily and i like to pour the entire box in it. She loves it that way because she loves to dig as deep as she can so after she goes, she feels better about herself when she can cover everything she left behind under massive deep layers. She loves spending time inside her litter box that has a roof and sides with a flap door. We have that deluxe luxury litter box placed inside a pet playpen that has a net mesh all around and on the top. We keep the sides entirely closed and allow the top to be partially unzipped so she can go inside from the top and our other beloved house companion our mini doxie cannot go in and cause a mess and she can have her privacy all to herself. She absolutely loves the set up for her that way. Since her mini surgery for getting spayed, i moved her bathroom into my bedroom to prevent the mini doxie getting near her during her recovery time. So now i closed up the top and opened the base doorway so she does not have to jump over to use her bathroom. She figured that out right away, she is that smart and she showed me her approval with tons of purrs , head bunts , tail posture and eye contact while smiling. She is literally sleeping on my lap right now as i text and she always enjoys grooming herself while right next to me or directly on my lap lol , i have no idea why, because if it were me i would want a little bit of personal space while primping up a bit lol. I will admit she truly boosts my ego haha. We plan on doing far more indoor stuff for her fun adventure and comfort but in the mean time we have all her wants and needs fully met, even down to her being chipped so she has that extra layer of protection.
I cannot leave my house for 15 minutes unless my cat becomes terribly unsure of himself. He has separation anxiety so bad. I tried bringing in another cat that did not work. Do you have any suggestions??
i have no idea if this will work for you but with mine i would leave for small intervals and slowly increase the time of separation until it just became routine and my cat no longer gets concerned. Leaving your shirt on your bed with your bodily scent on it will help, also play time where you exhaust your cat to where your cat will take a nap while you are gone and won't be so upset when you leave. Get a cat wheel and a cat tree so they can play , and put hidden treats all over the place so they find a new treat each time while playing. It will drive them crazy but in a fun and good way , and along with that sprinkle different forms of cat nip throughout your living space and various of furniture, cat tunnels, and cat tree. Most like to use tiny stuffed animals to put the cat nip in so the cat can go wild with bighting and scratching it and it won't make a mess AND you can remove those for a few days so the cats will forget about those toys so it will be like new when you bring those back out. All these things will help reduce their separation anxiety. Also an auto feeder and a water fountain will help so they have a healthy but steady access to food that helps reduce their survival concerns. It helps to have two forms of kitten tv in the home. One is the window that they have a sit in window option to peer outside on a daily basis to sunbathe and have a look around the great outdoors AND indoors if you can, have a safe screen of fun kitty tv from online channels that you know your cats would enjoy watching and interacting with the touch screen. those things will keep them occupied while you are away. Then while you are home spend that special time with your cat that makes them feel safe and they will eventually adapt to the routine you present to them they will accept it as a part of their lives. If that doesn't work , maybe talk with your vet about possible short term medications that help induce calm and tranquil mentality through the use of Benadryl or other safe forms of medicines that can start the calming process in your cat that over time won't be needed once your cat catches on to your daily routine. I hope this helps.
@@alwaznokiss9859 that is a drug given to humans and it is poison to animals. maybe double check what you are giving to your pet? i to have misread medicines in bottles at times. i do see it is given to certain animals in small doses under different brand names but it is very rare , but hey if you trust your vet and you get solid good results then awesome.
@@alwaznokiss9859 I appreciate that information but my cat will not take any kind of medication. And believe me I have tried everything. If you manage to get it down his throat he will cough and hat until he is able to regurgitate it I tried which does not change the taste of the water but he sure knew it was in there and he didn't see me put it in there either I think he would rather starve to death or become so dehydrated that he would die. I have to say that he is the most intelligent cat that I have ever come across. He is extremely intelligent. But not when it comes to knowing what is good for him such as a medication.
Hey Julia Hyatt! 😊 I think there’s a little mix-up about the video. We’re not talking about keeping cats indoors; we’re actually focusing on some mistakes to avoid to keep our furry friends happy inside the house. In point #9, we highlight how important it is to take your cat outside and let them enjoy the outdoors! Hope this clears things up! 🐾
Julia Hyatt, People have different reasons on not letting their cats out. Let’s not judge. There are some alternatives, like building a catio, putting them on a leash, I have seen outdoor tents, too. I have some friends, who keep their cat indoors because the cat will run away and get lost. Some people live on busy streets. Some people live in dangerous areas.

all but 1 no way to have outside
Excellent ❤
What breed is the cat that they show when brushing their hair?

Our vet prescribed my kitty gabapentin to take during times of stress.

I can understand the need for solitary time but WHY under the bed???
He's getting chonky and must do the Marine belly crawl to get under it.
Cats shouldn't be imprisoned. It's so cruel. If you can't let them out, don't have it. Don't like this, so I'm not going to watch.

I live on a busy interstate. I can't let her out alone, can't let her go to far.
I live in town and we have lots of issues with coyotes, opossum and raccoons that will kill our cats. My cats stay inside and alive.
