I saw Wet Willie and Atlanta Rhythm Section at Western Carolina Univ sometime around 1978 or so. This song was a big hit then. Remember the concert well. Great song!
I know this post is 8 months old, but that's cool! I attended WCU then as well (lived in Harrill Hall dorm). I didn't see Wet Willie there, but I did see them when they opened for Styx in Charlotte in March of '78. I was lucky enough to meet Jimmy Hall at a show in Shelby, NC 5 years ago. He was so gracious and humble. BTW, side note, drove up to WCU last August and didn't recognize the place. It has grown so much.
@@einy2crikey I actually was a student at UNC-A and drove from Asheville to Cullowhee with a couple of my buddies for the concert. Street Corner Serenade was a big hit at the time. The concert was at the old Reed Gym, which wasn't much bigger than a high school gym. But the place was packed and the show was great as I recall
Snowbound in Chicago during the January Blizzard of '78, when I first got to hear Jimmy and the band play this one live in concert -- fresh off the release of their latest album "Manorisms." Still have that fine LP in my collection.
I saw Jimmy Hall back in the day with Wet Willie at the Fillmore East. They did an amazing show. And this video is even better. Such a great genuine phenomenal talent.
Jimmy has had phenomenal stage presence for decades (probably since he was born) and always capturers Live audiences heart & soul….immediately…his performances are amazing with driving the sax ta vocals to harmonica and back…all while move’in & groove’in with perfect rhythm and timing !
Van Morrison is taking down notes...how did this guy eclipse me live? Jimmy Hall is a force of Nature. Check out "It gets us all in the end" with Jeff Beck...case dismissed.
The most underrated multi-talented guy there ever was. Jimmy can do it all
What an enthusiastic happy entertainer! Talent runs DEEP!! GO JIMMY!
This man has no words that can describe him but great 😊😊😊
This man is amazing and a true entertainer! His band is as spot on as it gets.
