I just got my traditional 3-year visa on my US passport. I am trying to figure out how I will access Russia this mid May (2024). I am thinking of flying either to Helsinki, Finland, or Tallinn, Estonia, or Riga, Latvia, and then going to the Russian border by land. But this area seems tense right now. Or to Astana, Kazakhstan and then Omsk, Russia, by land. Is there a reliable and updated website that lists the open frontiers? Does anyone know the border situation, please? As far as I know Finland's land borders with Russia are closed, while Estonia and Latvia's are open for now, but could be closed soon. Another option is to pass through Georgia, which has an open land border to Vladikavkaz.
