If you dont want a po box, or for some reason you travel/move a significant amount but want ur address to stay consistent, get an online address/po box, its a subscription service where you have a professional address. They manage ur mail, sort out spam, scan documents, and will also forward ur mail to wherever you are if you are in a different area. You could realistically never have to go there if you felt you didnt want to, but most cities have at least a few locations in them where you can just show up in person as well. Theres also ones that cost more upfront but overall are set up to save you money on international shipping.

Just keep at it. Took me a whole month to get my first sale. I'm at the 6 month mark and have had 24 sales. My products are completely different from stickers but I've heard stickers are great sellers.

If you want to make one sticker pack, just make a list for every step. Like 1. Find paper 2. Ink 3. Am I cutting or using a machine 4. How much would I want to sell this for? GIRL. I haaaaaate the post office. There is absolutely nothing cute about it lol. I usually print labels from home and then schedule online to have my packages picked up by my regular mailperson who delivers my mail. I definitely need to get a P.O. box though, that's good advice!

I want to start my business but mostly afraid and overwhelmed of the spendings such as for the labels, and P.O. Box Can’t you just write the people’s address or do you need a label?
You can absolutely just write people's names in, and then either weigh them on a scale and use stamps, or take them to the post office and have them price the envelopes there. The label maker is only to quicken the process and make it more convenient!! :)

The only downside is that sometimes you "waste" money that way... say if stamps are $0.55 a piece and your shipping cost is $0.80, you have to use two stamps and in turn wasted $0.30 (0.55+0.55= $1.10, minus 0.80 = $0.30) rather than if you'd have taken it to the post office or had used a label for the exact amount. I hope that made sense.

Wow! I have reordered from shops with cute packaging because it tells me the business owner is a step above the rest. If they care that much about packaging, then I know my stickers are top notch.
I think the reason for the cute packaging is to impress the buyer and I could understand. That's why i'm going to do that. 😊💞 Don't worry I got the money saved for the packaging but, it's just an envelope and ribbon. Nothing special! :)
Lucinda Windsor Wexler most of the cute packing is waste. You’re not gonna keep shredded tissue paper or confetti. Branded packaging is a different thing imo. But I get it for accessories or lip gloss. For stickers it’s more about packaging them so they don’t get damaged in transit

I live in Malta, a small island in Europe, where there's not a single shop here that sells Cricut, would you recommend to order it online or shall I maybe look for an alternative in the shops here? how long have you had the HP printer? is it sill working good for you? I looked at the reviews and comments and it seems to be "if its good its spectacular. But if its bad, it is completely awful." I bought this paper and it doesn't show what side is the sticker side. It's just plain white on both sides. Making it harder for me to identify. How did you identify?
So when I bought my paper (from online labels.com) I opened the package and took out the first sheet, peeled it to confirm which side was down and which was up, then noted that for when I put new stacks in my printer. 🤷🏽♀️ also, over time, you just get used to the feel of the paper and can tell which side is which. I just know which side is more smooth and which is more matte.

I really love how you broke down so many basic things that running a business requires and not all the frill that comes with a lot of the other shop channels. Planner Stuff hey, so the cricut doesn’t contain ink, it doesn’t print. They have a feature called “print and cut”, but it just means print it out in your regular printer, then use the cricut to cut. It would be cool if it was an all-in-one, but it would be way over $400. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! ♥️♥️

Sheena, watching your sticker vids has inspired me to make a sticker shop! I used to have an etsy shop like 8 years ago, we had some small success but it wasn't sustainable because we made all homemade accessories which take a lot of time. So eventually we had to close it up. Ive been looking for a new etsy shop idea to open that was more sustainable and the startup costs weren't very high. I recently bought a new graphics tablet and have started working on some designs. The main reason I want to have a sticker shop is to "create more from start to finish". Im a student so often find it hard to find time to create and produce art between the constant stress of exams and classes. Being creative and artistic is my passion and I don't feel as much like myself without it. So Im excited that this will be the thing to keep me moving forward creatively while still being able to balance school as well. Thanks for all the information! P.S. Quick question, Im still watching the vid so not sure if you have this info in there, but is it possible to make vinyl stickers at home? I want to make stickers that will go well on laptops, phones, water bottles, etc stuff like that that will get alot of wear and need longevity.

I generally hate the post office too. But I have a street mailbox next to my grocery store so I just put the orders in a bag put them in the mailbox and there's never anything in there so I can put in as much as I like and when I'm done I use the bag to put my groceries in

I have a few Etsy shops and have been curious to branch out to increase income. You are very intelligent and I agree with so much you said. I have yet to click on your Etsy shop, but I know from watching this video you have easily heavily multiplied your gross income. I do have one tip for you! Dymo thermal printers are very expensive to maintain. Labels are extremely expensive and honestly, there is no need. I recommend you go on amazon and buy a Rollo or Zebra asap. Search around amazon and you will find bundles that work just as well and way cheaper. It is all about cutting cost everywhere without sacrificing quality. This is small, but the small things add up quick!

@@SheMeetsCity Not maintain as in repairs, I mean extra cost in labels. Getting rollo or zebra opens up a new market in labels that cost much less! I purchase them 5-6 times a year in bulk orders of 15,000 and they cost less than a penny per label. they have smaller bundles too if you wouldn't need 15,000! Definitely something to look into.
what's your cheapest/best 100-sheets of glossy, 8.5" x 11" sticker paper you're using? ... what are you buying now? ... btw .. my total expense is about 9-cents per 2"x3" oval sticker and i sell them at 18-cents per in sets of 80 unique stickers [$14.40 per set]

I love the way you explained everything you just seem so genuine compared to a lot of etsy users out there who try to look like they're helping but purposely leave out important things. I want to start my own sticker shop too but I'm feeling overwhelmed and anxious :( theres just so much to do and get it's hard to figure out what to do😢

You can absolutely just write people's names in, and then either weigh them on a scale and use stamps, or take them to the post office and have them price the envelopes there. The label maker is only to quicken the process and make it more convenient!! :)

@@simplybyjess5963 Nope, stamps work just perfectly!! The only downside is that sometimes you "waste" money that way... say if stamps are $0.55 a piece and your shipping cost is $0.80, you have to use two stamps and in turn wasted $0.30 (0.55+0.55= $1.10, minus 0.80 = $0.30) rather than if you'd have taken it to the post office or had used a label for the exact amount. I hope that made sense.

Wow! I have reordered from shops with cute packaging because it tells me the business owner is a step above the rest. If they care that much about packaging, then I know my stickers are top notch.
I think the reason for the cute packaging is to impress the buyer and I could understand. That's why i'm going to do that. 😊💞

Lucinda Windsor Wexler most of the cute packing is waste. You’re not gonna keep shredded tissue paper or confetti. Branded packaging is a different thing imo. But I get it for accessories or lip gloss. For stickers it’s more about packaging them so they don’t get damaged in transit

I'm watching your video with great interes as I'm planning on opening my own sticker shop online.. I live in Malta, a small island in Europe, where there's not a single shop here that sells Cricut, would you recommend to order it online or shall I maybe look for an alternative in the shops here? how long have you had the HP printer? is it sill working good for you? I looked at the reviews and comments and it seems to be "if its good its spectacular. But if its bad, it is completely awful." However I see more 5 stars than 1 stars. I'm just worried about purchasing something like that and not getting my money's s worth.🤷♀️

I bought this paper and it doesn't show what side is the sticker side. It's just plain white on both sides. Making it harder for me to identify. How did you identify?
So when I bought my paper (from online labels.com) I opened the package and took out the first sheet, peeled it to confirm which side was down and which was up, then noted that for when I put new stacks in my printer. 🤷🏽♀️ also, over time, you just get used to the feel of the paper and can tell which side is which. I just know which side is more smooth and which is more matte.

Planner Stuff hey, so the cricut doesn’t contain ink, it doesn’t print. They have a feature called “print and cut”, but it just means print it out in your regular printer, then use the cricut to cut. It would be cool if it was an all-in-one, but it would be way over $400. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! ♥️♥️

Sheena, watching your sticker vids has inspired me to make a sticker shop! I used to have an etsy shop like 8 years ago, we had some small success but it wasn't sustainable because we made all homemade accessories which take a lot of time. So eventually we had to close it up. Ive been looking for a new etsy shop idea to open that was more sustainable and the startup costs weren't very high. I recently bought a new graphics tablet and have started working on some designs. The main reason I want to have a sticker shop is to "create more from start to finish". Im a student so often find it hard to find time to create and produce art between the constant stress of exams and classes. Being creative and artistic is my passion and I don't feel as much like myself without it. So Im excited that this will be the thing to keep me moving forward creatively while still being able to balance school as well. Thanks for all the information!
P.S. Quick question, Im still watching the vid so not sure if you have this info in there, but is it possible to make vinyl stickers at home? I want to make stickers that will go well on laptops, phones, water bottles, etc stuff like that that will get alot of wear and need longevity.

As far as vinyl on other stuff-2 other YTber I watch do vinyl stick-ons to fabric and cups, etc with their Cricut machines and both have video tutorials doing so on their channels (Page Danielle & Belinda Selene)

It sounds like you have the drive and "know-how" so just go for it! Keep your start up costs low and make small batches until you know what your clientele wants to see. Wishing you luck!!
I generally hate the post office too. But I have a street mailbox next to my grocery store so I just put the orders in a bag put them in the mailbox and there's never anything in there so I can put in as much as I like and when I'm done I use the bag to put my groceries in

I have a few Etsy shops and have been curious to branch out to increase income. You are very intelligent and I agree with so much you said. I have yet to click on your Etsy shop, but I know from watching this video you have easily heavily multiplied your gross income. I do have one tip for you! Dymo thermal printers are very expensive to maintain. Labels are extremely expensive and honestly, there is no need. I recommend you go on amazon and buy a Rollo or Zebra asap. Search around amazon and you will find bundles that work just as well and way cheaper. It is all about cutting cost everywhere without sacrificing quality. This is small, but the small things add up quick!
Thanks so much for watching! I honestly don't plan to switch from my Dymo bc it hasn't costed me anything to maintain in the 2 yrs that Ive had it, plus Ive stocked up on labels (off-brand, not from Dymo) Just what works for me, but Ive heard great things about Rollo too!
@@SheMeetsCity Not maintain as in repairs, I mean extra cost in labels. Getting rollo or zebra opens up a new market in labels that cost much less! I purchase them 5-6 times a year in bulk orders of 15,000 and they cost less than a penny per label. they have smaller bundles too if you wouldn't need 15,000! Definitely something to look into.
what's your cheapest/best 100-sheets of glossy, 8.5" x 11" sticker paper you're using? ... what are you buying now? ... btw .. my total expense is about 9-cents per 2"x3" oval sticker and i sell them at 18-cents per in sets of 80 unique stickers [$14.40 per set]
