Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
Love you’re work Josh I enjoy watching you and the ole man fish together. I fish with my son and grandson and that means more too me than actually catching fish. 🎣Al
Terrific video again Josh! Cherish the times you get to spend fishing with your dad....... Loved everything about this video mate, the videoing, the conversation, the fishing, action, bloopers, scenery and surroundings! All the best for you, your channel, and you and your family's health!
That’s some of the coolest fishing. Light casting rod just flipping around the mangroves. Also quite and calm. Just amazing. I also love fishing overcast Great video man!
G'day young fella. You certainly find some bloody nice spots to drown some lure's and even catch a fish or 2. You must be pretty chuffed to have your dad come out with you. It's great to see you both having a good time.
So many wonderful times shared fishing with Dad in my youth…..nowadays, I share more recent memories with my son and grandchildren. Some quality fish for the table also. Josh, I would like to see you include how you “set up” the bait caster outfit to lessen the instance of overrun etc. Another great video and production Josh. The bloopers are excellent.
Hey there young fella. Its really great to see you out with the old man casting a line. Takes me back 60 years ago when my Dad spent most of our fishing time untangling my line, but at least he enjoyed the time we spent together, here in South Oz mainly catching a feed of Tommy Ruffs and the odd bream if they didn't wrap your line around the pylons of the wharf jetty. Mate, I sent you a message regarding old rods and reels etc recently after your donut session and you said it would be great to do a vid using old tackle. Please check back as I've an old Jarvis Walker rod (never used) and an old Bakelite reel I'm happy to forward to you at no cost as your vids provide me with so many memories of 50 to 60 years ago. Take care and stay well young fella. It is soooo great seeing a young bloke enjoying the Same things we did over 550 years ago. Best wishes to Dad, you have a great old man and he has a great lad. Hope Mum enjoyed her dinner of fresh whiting ? Cheers sunshine. M T wrap
Oh ian mate how’s this message. Put a smile on my face just reading it. I remember being a little boy and getting snagged and tangled and always asking dad to help me cast out. Now I’ve taught my dad everything he knows about lures. What lures work in certain situations and also how to use the certain lure. And yeah I’d be more than keen to make a video on the old rod and reel. What’s the best way I can contact you👍🏼
Yeah 550 was a typo. I turn 73 in April mate and unfortunately my arthritis in my fingers prevents me from being able to do fiddly things with fishing lines etc so I get the fun watching and learning from you. Cheers mate
@@iantonkin1143 To Mr Tonkin, Josh didn`t make the comment about your age .It was me, just to be clear .please accept my apology. my respect to you Sir .Some of my best times have been the times I`ve spent fishing with my son who is about the same age as Josh is .To any Dads reading this ,take your kids fishing it certainly creates strong bonds ,as Ian has said and is evident with Josh and his Dad. Thanks for your comments but I wasn't offended, I also laughed out loud when I say my typo ..... will blame my arthritic fingers instead of my average keyboard skills LOL. Though I have to admit, I at times do feel 550. Stay well and safe Cheers Ian
I think that a feed at your place of freshly caught fish would be a top mung session, Josh! Great fishing and cinematography - you could easily shoot a cinema-quality film IMHO.
Great video. Josh I only started watching you at the beginning of the week and have managed to watch every video you have uploaded. Your giving me so many ideas and inspiration. I will be hanging out for the next video to learn more from you. Keep doing what your doing! 🎣🐟🐠Your editing is great and I love the bloopers at the end 🤣
Really liked the slomo topwater shots in this one, just a tip if keeping more to eat, a brain spike and ice goes a long way. I'd love to know how they tasted from that far up the system, ive only ever eaten from the surf👍

Hey josh just started a channel of my own wondering if you have any tips also what camera settings do use on your go pro cause I can’t find a good setting. Keep up the great content Josh👍🎣
I'm genuinely blown away. This is a good a production as anything I've seen on UA-cam or commercial TV and you do it all yourself.
