This is the first time since 1948 that there has been a Royal Navy ship called Queen Elizabeth and one of Cunard Line as well. The battleship HMS Queen Elizabeth of 33,500 tons displacement served from 1915 to 1948, while the first Queen Elizabeth of Cunard Line was a liner of 83,763 grt and it flew the Cunard houseflag from 1940 to 1968.
The cruise liner, in its natural habitat, circles the aircraft carrier to cut it off from escape. Once encircled, the cruiser initiates a discouraging attack signal, which continues to grow ever louder as it moves in for the final strike.
MS QE: Who are you? HMS QE: I'm *Her Majesty Ship* Queen Elizabeth, who are you? MS QE: I'm *Majesty Ship* Queen Elizabeth. HMS QE: .............. I must point out there can't be two Queens in the Mighty Seas. MS QE: Well your *Majesty* I carry the tourists, the families and honoured crew around the world. What can you do must I ask? HMS QE: Well your *Royalty* I carry the fighting force of her *Majesty* , defending her waters and airspace against our common enemy that threatens our existence. With her finest serving crew, pilots hoping to bring peace to our doorstep. MS QE: I take it were Sisters, one that travels around the world visiting peace and the other travels around the world to war. HMS QE: I agree to your terms, were both shall we say big ladies of the seas. MS QE: Two big girls with two happy fleets of the *United Kingdom.* HMS QE: I must say that's a blessing dress you're wearing, White Black and Red. MS QE: I shall say the same to you, your *Majesty* Grey and Black matching the horizons of the magnificent ocean.
The caption at 0:05 is actually incorrect. HMS Queen Elizabeth does not share the namesake with MS Queen Elizabeth. The Royal Navy vessel is named after Queen Elizabeth I, while the Cunard line vessel is named after Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother.
I'm with you on that, yes we blame Russian for everything "but this ship is UK pride, at least give us that". But i'll tell you this, i think this is the most beautiful aircraft carrier i've ever seen......
I'm impatient to watch HMS Queen Elizabeth pass through the channel. I shall organise a beach party and we will toast her as she passes, even if this happens in winter. I'd like to send up a maroon, but I don't think the CG would like it ;-[] The last carrier I watched could be tracked by the smoke she made.
Checked the numbers on wikipedia. MS Queen Elizabeth is heavier and longer while HMS Queen Elizabeth is more spritely being lighter and faster with more powerful engines, but she also sits a little deeper in the water and has wider hips thanks to those sponsons.
God of War, why would an aircraft carrier be bigger than a cruise ship? You don't house 6,000 passengers in shoeboxes if you want to call it luxury....
Which HMS Queen Elizabeth? I tried to search this on Wikipedia but it gave me a list of options that I couldn’t tell which one was about the one in the video.
[Probably late but...] The most recent HMS Queen Elizabeth is an aircraft carrier (the one in the video). The other HMS Queen Elizabeth was a battleship that served during WWI and WWII.
Queen Elizabeth I was a Tudor, the Tudors are originally Welsh-French ancestry. Technically the modern line of Prince of Wales aren't Welsh, but just given the princely title as a matter of tradition as the English, now United Kingdom's heir, and the original use of the feathers was from the Black Prince's jousting colours, not the Welsh flag colours.
Both of the Queen Elizabeth's together magnificent

Love it!
Russian trolls won't spoil my enjoyment. I'm sure it was a fun moment for both crews.

Russia's just jealous cos it takes a week to start up there top battle ship 🤣🤣

Very cool!
Awesome!
When I saw the ramp I thought somebody was going to use a motorcycle in jump over the Queen Mary
I wish there was a bird eye view. To see the sizes of both. I bet the HMS Queen Elizabeth is much bigger.
God of War there's plenty of photos. . is hard to tell from the views though. cruise ship is probably a bit larger, I don't know tbh lol
Checked the numbers on wikipedia.

I would think that both are small compared to a large oil carrier............................

The Symphony of the Seas is 1188 feet long and the USS Gerald R. Ford is 1106.
Lovely.

Technically she isn't yet 'HMS' as she's not yet a commissioned warship. That's why she doesn't fly the White Ensign.
I wonder what they're saying to each other.
English greatness!
Cool
Just curious, but why is HMS Queen Elizabeth wearing the Blue Ensign rather than the White Ensign? I thought she was already in commission.
she had her commissioning ceremony in December 2017, After the 2 queens had met, ua-cam.com/video/dk27oKppoas/v-deo.html here it is in full
Technically MS Queen Elizabeth is an Ocean Liner not a Cruise Ship.
Wrong, MS Queen Elizabeth is a Cruise Ship. Queen Mary 2 is the only Ocean Liner.
QUEEN ELIZEBETH TWINS
Sounds like somet out of war of the worlds
Snap!!
SNAP!
In rosyth
I know which is quickest
It is dumb how The HMS Queen Liz has Welsh colours and Prince Of Wales has English, wtf
Its meant to be like that.
