I am from Beirut Lebanon, I am an Armenian, I now reside in Los Angeles since 1978. However; in my childhood days my father use to own a record store in Lebanon in the early 70's and I use to sell your cassettes and listen to your songs among many other famous artists as well. The whole community loved you and still do of course. I still continue listening to your songs live on you tube, from your early days and compare your pitch of the same songs after 50 years and incredibly you have kept it the same, not many singers can do that. My father was also a very famous Armenian singer unfortunately he passed away 9 months ago, he was the pioneer in Armenian Pop genre and the Armenian community sometimes called him the Engelbert or Elvis of the Armenians. His name Adiss Harmandian and he started singing in 1960's till 2018. God bless you Sir Engelbert Humperdinck, we will always cherish your songs. This is a great idea, please continue to entertain us during this challenging times.

Wanted to share a story with you: once you were in Palm Springs to sign one of your books. I stood in line for a long time with my husband in the heat and at one point I fainted from the sun. I did not make it to you inside the building as the ambulance came to get me, to bring me to hospital… When you heard one of your fans had fainted you came out where I was, heading into the ambulance, and held my hand and also signed me your book which I still have today by my side. I was born on the last day of The Last Waltz being No 1 in the UK. I played the single on my fathers record player not realising this song was being played all the time by my mother towards the end of her pregnancy. You explained that you had a concert the evening before, and came out to edge of city to get a good nights sleep... not to be bothered. I traveled 46 states for a publishing co., what a lovely way to start my day. You were such a gentleman to a 20 yr. old young lady. I later promoted grand ole opry shows, met many famous people. I am 67 and remember you...you stood out, very handsome, soft spoken and a gentle- man.

I have seen Engelbert many times in upstate New York and took my son when he was 8 years old. Today my son at 23 years old came home from work early to sit and watch the Live show with me. Today is a day I will not for get! God bless you Enge your forever in our family:)

Aproximadamente en el año 1968 escuché por primera vez el hermoso tema " Reléase Me" y quedé cautivado por tan bonita voz, por tan bonita interpretación, aunque no sabía realmente la historia, pues yo no entendía lo que decía la letra en inglés. La escuché en una estación de radio de la Ciudad de México, de nombre Radio 6.20, con un Slogan tan atinado...el cual decía... "Radio 6.20 La Música Que Llegó Para Quedarse, y así es éste tema llegó para quedarse. Al poco tiempo se dió a conocer en la radio el tema "Los Recuerdos de Tu Amor" del Compositor y cantante Patrizio de nacionalidad Italiana, cantada en español. Quiero agregar que desde entonces he Sido un fiel seguidor de su exitosa carrera artística y he tenido la suerte de adquirir algunos Cd,s de sus conciertos. Por último...acabo de ver su trabajo " Engelbert Humperdinck Live y lo felicito por la entereza con la cual sigue Usted interpretando magistralmente las melodías que ya son " Clásicas" y que nos hacen revivir momentos de nuestra vida. It is almost like getting ready to go to your live concert with a front row seat; looking forward to you walking out on stage, praying I will catch one of your wonderful keep sake handkerchiefs and a hand shake; to me this is just as exciting. How many of those handkerchiefs do you have? I only have one but, it was so special! I was lucky to have been one of 2 girls he picked to sing to on stage. "You don't have to be a star, baby, to be in my show!" It was awesome and the kiss I got about halfway through it made my knees weak! That was back when kisses weren't dangerous! I didn't wash the handkerchief for weeks not wanting to lose the smell of his cologne! Such and incredible voice, so tall, and SO handsome!!
When I was 16 years old I listened to Enge. I wore out an album I had in college. My mother and I love Engelbert’s voice so much. Although Engelbert was around a lot earlier than I was, I've been a fan of his for awhile. He is a legendary performer who has affected many generations and generations to come. With my own children they know who he is because of the music I play daily and his concerts where I was fortunate enough to see two times and both being successful in getting autographs from him. I think you are the greatest performer ever and a very inspirational person. I always look forward to hearing your Tuesday Musedays...they make my week. I was under age 10 when The Last Waltz came out & knocked The Beatles off #1 and then came Winter World of Love in late 1969. 2 of his best hits and I was there when they were on the charts. Great voice that has stood the test of time. He still has it big time.

I am from Beirut Lebanon, I am an Armenian, I now reside in Los Angeles since 1978. However; in my childhood days my father use to own a record store in Lebanon in the early 70's and I use to sell your cassettes and listen to your songs among many other famous artists as well. The whole community loved you and still do of course. I still continue listening to your songs live on you tube, from your early days and compare your pitch of the same songs after 50 years and incredibly you have kept it the same, not many singers can do that. My father was also a very famous Armenian singer unfortunately he passed away 9 months ago, he was the pioneer in Armenian Pop genre and the Armenian community sometimes called him the Engelbert or Elvis of the Armenians. His name Adiss Harmandian and he started singing in 1960's till 2018. God bless you Sir Engelbert Humperdinck, we will always cherish your songs. This is a great idea, please continue to entertain us during this challenging times.

Wanted to share a story with you: once you were in Palm Springs to sign one of your books. I stood in line for a long time with my husband in the heat and at one point I fainted from the sun. I did not make it to you inside the building as the ambulance came to get me, to bring me to hospital… When you heard one of your fans had fainted you came out where I was, heading into the ambulance, and held my hand and also signed me your book which I still have today by my side. I was born on the last day of The Last Waltz being No 1 in the UK. I played the single on my fathers record player not realising this song was being played all the time by my mother towards the end of her pregnancy. Met you in 1971 in Rhode Island. Opened my motel door to a limo in front of me. I looked to my right and you smiled and said, " Well, good morning"! I returned the greeting. You explained that you had a concert the evening before, and came out to edge of city to get a good nights sleep... not to be bothered. I traveled 46 states for a publishing co., what a lovely way to start my day. You were such a gentleman to a 20 yr. old young lady. I later promoted grand ole opry shows, met many famous people. I am 67 and remember you...you stood out, very handsome, soft spoken and a gentle- man.

mobrules29 We saw him at Proctor’s Theater in Schenectady NY and at the Starlite Theater in Latham NY. Great shows. My son still loves watching him and was so happy to see him on UA-cam:) hopefully one day he will come back to our area.

Aproximadamente en el año 1968 escuché por primera vez el hermoso tema " Reléase Me" y quedé cautivado por tan bonita voz, por tan bonita interpretación, aunque no sabía realmente la historia, pues yo no entendía lo que decía la letra en inglés. La escuché en una estación de radio de la Ciudad de México, de nombre Radio 6.20, con un Slogan tan atinado...el cual decía... "Radio 6.20 La Música Que Llegó Para Quedarse, y así es éste tema llegó para quedarse. Al poco tiempo se dió a conocer en la radio el tema "Los Recuerdos de Tu Amor" del Compositor y cantante Patrizio de nacionalidad Italiana, cantada en español. Quiero agregar que desde entonces he Sido un fiel seguidor de su exitosa carrera artística y he tenido la suerte de adquirir algunos Cd,s de sus conciertos. Por último...acabo de ver su trabajo " Engelbert Humperdinck Live y lo felicito por la entereza con la cual sigue Usted interpretando magistralmente las melodías que ya son " Clásicas" y que nos hacen revivir momentos de nuestra vida.

Dear Engelbert, I am so excited. It is almost like getting ready to go to your live concert with a front row seat; looking forward to you walking out on stage, praying I will catch one of your wonderful keep sake handkerchiefs and a hand shake; to me this is just as exciting. I will be in my library with a big sign on the door DO NOT DISTURB FOR TWO HOURS as I will need the extra time to get my composure back. Thank you Sir for doing this for us. How many of those handkerchiefs do you have? I only have one but, it was so special! I was lucky to have been one of 2 girls he picked to sing to on stage. "You don't have to be a star, baby, to be in my show!" It was awesome and the kiss I got about halfway through it made my knees weak! That was back when kisses weren't dangerous! I didn't wash the handkerchief for weeks not wanting to lose the smell of his cologne! Such and incredible voice, so tall, and SO handsome!!

When I was 16 years old I listened to Enge. I wore out an album I had in college. My mother and I love Engelbert’s voice so much. Mother is in heaven now but I’ve rediscovered Enge and I’m enjoying all the beautiful music. Thanks Enge for all the memories and for your strength and longevity. You are amazing!!!!!!! Although Engelbert was around a lot earlier than I was, I've been a fan of his for awhile. He is a legendary performer who has affected many generations and generations to come. With my own children they know who he is because of the music I play daily and his concerts where I was fortunate enough to see two times and both being successful in getting autographs from him. I think you are the greatest performer ever and a very inspirational person. I always look forward to hearing your Tuesday Musedays...they make my week. I can't wait to be able to talk and listen to your concert tomorrow. Yay!

I was under age 10 when The Last Waltz came out & knocked The Beatles off #1 and then came Winter World of Love in late 1969. 2 of his best hits and I was there when they were on the charts. Great voice that has stood the test of time. He still has it big time.
