To be fair, since the dinosaurs in Jurassic park/world were genetically engineered, the engineered T-Rex could have been engineered specifically so it's sight was based on movement, it would be a beneficial thing for recapturing the T-Rex if she escaped
@Dr. Cool In the novels, the dinosaurs aren't even dinosaurs at all. Hammand straight up admitted he was lying to everyone and just created creatures that vaguely resembled dinosaurs but hardly had any kind of accuracy at all
@@Wylie288 I've read the novels and don't remember that? I remember than wu goes to Hammonds house (on the island) and proposes making "slower, better looking dinosaurs" to be more entertaining for the public, and Hammond gets angry because all the dinosaurs in JP are real, and wu says none of them are real bc of gene splicing and science. That's what I remember but if he does come to that conclusion let me know what chapter, I'm thinking of re-reading the books. (Infact I'm halfway through book 1 which is why I remember Hammond and wus talk)
So about the "Vision attracted to movement" thing ( and I'm probably not the first one to clarify ) it actually comes from the original novel where every dinos had this issue. It wasn't that they couldn't see unmoving things but they quickly lost interest in them. It was something about the frog DNA that was causing this issue. Why they only kept it for the T-rex in the movies? I don't know but there you go. This was your unscheduled Dino-Trivia.
What if, knowing how dangerous a tyrannosaurus could be, they tweaked its genes to give it the motion based sight? As a safety measure in case it got loose.
If there is one thing watching VR game play I have learned is more developers need to include wearable hats. Be it Wolf, or Benjo, or just about any other youtuber I've seen everyone try's to wear the hats heh. Should almost be the new rule #1. If there is a hat in your game let the player where it. Thanks for all the great videos!
The JP trex actually do only see movement, the movies just didn't explain why, but I think in the book grant figured it out because he remembered that they used frog DNA, so it is accurate for that specific trex, since I don't think it's the same with the 5 others on Isla sorna
T-Rex: Oh hi wolf. Wolf: Hi. T-Rex: I would want to invite you to dinner with me. Wolf: Oh, Cool. But whats for dinner. T-Rex: Well, If you wont come there will be nothing.(after this T-Rex ate Wolf). FIN
9:13 True, but this is the Jurassic Park T-Rex. It’s blood isn’t pure, which is why it’s vision is bad. Also, I could see trees and stuff, it’s just if you’re not moving it thinks you’re part of the environment, not food :)
Nice video Wolf, I really like this kind of horror game. I was thinking when you finish Jurassic World Aftermatch please play Alien Isolation with the VR mod and the heart counter, it will be similar to playing Jurassic World only worse for you and more fun for us haha, think about it.
I think people are seeing a binary choice on this T. Rex eyesight thing that doesn't need to exist. A creature could have great vision (range and clarity) and still its brain's target / threat acquisition system be based on motion. They aren't mutually exclusive.
So because it's a predator that eats things that tend to move, it's not a case of 'It won't see you if you don't move', it's 'It won't pay you any mind if you don't move'. Is that about right?
@@grekygrek honestly since I think that t-rex might have been both a scavenger as well as a hunter I'm not sure how much standing perfectly still would actually help and as far as I know it would make it see you less as what is typical prey and more as something like a chicken nugget so either way you're most likely gonna get ate
In Jurassic park the T. rex genome was incomplete and they had to fill in the parts with reptile DNA, and the reptiles they used have movement based vision, same with dilophosaurus, pretty sure they filled in it’s gaps with poison dart frogs
Georgia is actually blue the dinosaur from Jurassic world the movie watch the movie and yeah you understand a lot also the rest of the raptors names are Delta echo and Charlie.
Hi wolf. When u get the monorail working. For the intro u could put the scene of What if ep 5 when the survivors start up the metro/train. BTW... Love ur vids and keep u the amazing work
Probably not the best move to WAVE HI to an apex predator whose sight is based on movement. Just a thought. EDIT: If the franchise says its true, then the game mechanics will act like its true. Don't you play coy, wolf. P.S. Be honest, you looked that up for the video, didn't you? :3
This is a long shot but I cannot find any information on issue I found on the switch. So, I'm at the end where you have to head to transport to the monorail. However, it wont even let me into Transport. Somehow I'm able to enter Residence though and when I go into the breaker room the light beneath the switch for power in Residence is still on while all the others are off. Why is this? Did I miss something? Is this why it wont let me progress? And if so what did I possibly miss? I do not feel like going all the way to Residences and looking around completely blind. There's no walkthroughs or bug reports on this game, at least nothing similar to this. Does anyone here know?
T-Rex: (makes her entrance)
Mia: DON'T..... MOVE!
Wolf: HIIIIII !!!(waves hand vigorously)
He didn’t watch the T-rex breakout scene in Jurassic Park
LMFAO

@Dr. Cool The Lost World Novel infact takes a deliberate swipe at that when Dodgson's team raid the nest.
You've got a great theory

What kind of DNA that give T-rex a poor vision. They need to add the DNA of an eagle
T-rex: Green Light, Red Light
Wolf: I'm moving very slowly
T-rex: Time to eat.
Gett your Revenge!!! FOR BERT

The T-Rex has (not park sequels but world) been the original one from the original movie
Trixie’s an elder at this point
I think that part 2 is much better than part 1. I've enjoyed it much more. :))
Me too
yes
4 sure
It's definitely more...cinematic. And way better variety of challenges.
Agreed 😀😀
7:32 rule #1 don’t even think about waving your hands at the t-rex
What if, knowing how dangerous a tyrannosaurus could be, they tweaked its genes to give it the motion based sight? As a safety measure in case it got loose.
It was a issue all the dinos in the books had something to do with frog dna

not going to lie the T-rex biting sounds are so intriguing and horrifying

I was rewatching jurrasic park when i got a notification lol
Lol
Bert nooooo!!!!! Rip Bert the compy
Perhaps the reason this T-Rex can only see movement is because it's a genetically engineered bio-attraction and not a real T-Rex?
NOOO! BEEERRT!!

I don't think that was trippy that got the t-rex to follow them. Trippy was green, that one was orange-ish
